The day that we’ve all been waiting for came so fast. Nagsama-sama kami sa sala habang inaabangan dumating ang mga bagong makakasama namin.
“Sabi ni Miss Alvarado sampu daw sila.”

Kagabi ko pa iniisip kung sino ang mga bago naming makakasama. Secretly hoping it’s not someone na mas mababa ang antas. I would feel sorry for them. I, myself thought that the hardest thing in my life is to choose what college I should study and I didn’t expect that I will be at a crossroads.

Kanina ko pa napapansin na tahimik si Bea simula noong dumating ‘yong mga bagong estudyante.

Ngumiti lamang siya ng pilit.
Tatanungin ko pa sana siya pero nakita ko nang naglalakad palayo si Porsche. Nagpaalam ako kay Bea sandal at sinundan si Porsche.
“Why are you following me?” tanong niya bago huminto.
“Can we talk?”
Humarap siya saakin at iminuwestra na maglakad kami ng sabay. Parang may sariling utak ang mga paa ko dahil kahit hindi sinabi ni Porsche kung saan kami pupunta ay dumaan ako sa daanan papunta sa likod ng Mansyon.
“What do you want to talk about?”
Inilabas niya ang pakete ng sigarilyo mula sa bulsa niya at sinindihan ‘yon.
“About yesterday.”
Tumango siya at ibinuga ang usok na galing sa bibig niya.
“What about yesterday?”
“Gusto ko lang malaman kung bakit mo ginawa ‘yon?”
Ilang minuto bago siya nagsalita.
“Whatever you think it is, it is.”
Nangunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya.
“I just want to remind you that I have nothing but confusion. I’m just confused and I need answer as to why you did that.”
He threw back his head and let out a loud, humorless laugh.
“Come on, alam ko namang may idea ka kung bakit ko ginawa ‘yon.”
I was unable to speak for a moment. Before I can even speak, his face lights up like a neon sign, and he abandons his body to the merriment.
“I was just joking!”
I pressed my palm to my heart in relief.
“Hindi magandang biro!” I let out a sigh. “Dahil naklaro ko na wala ka namang nararamdaman para sa’kin, gusto kong magsorry ka. Do you think na makakatakas ka sa ginawa mo kahapon? Did you ask for my permission?”
He smirked.
“Bakit? No’ng ikaw ‘yong gumawa sa’kin no’n, did you ask for my permission too?”
Speechless, I avoided my gaze on him. I heard his soft chuckle.
“In fact, I didn’t ask you about that incident.”
I can’t keep talking about our topic, kung hindi, I’ll end up being caught.
“Okay, don’t talk about that.”
His eyes brimmed with tears of mirth and the smile tugging his lips broke into a grin.
I don’t know why pero nakaramdam ako ng relief noong malaman kong walang nararamdamang kung ano saakin si Porsche. Maybe because I’ll feel more guilty sa ilang beses na pagtulong niya saakin kung malalaman kong he’s doing that because he has feelings for me.
