I rubbed my eyes several times as I can't believe that he's staying in the same building as me. I can't hide my smile. I get it, Dawn's unit is just a few walks away from mine.
We walked together and as we were the only two in the elevator, it made us feel uneasy and awkward plus he only remained silent the whole time we're in there! I can't take his silence.
I cleared my throat and stole some glances at him. He has a nice view from here. Goodness, those noses! I want to pinch them and those dark eyes, so attractive! I wonder why he has to be that handsome?
I told him the reason why I'm here. My Daddy suggested that I get a unit as the Suneast University is just walking distance from here. As well as the convenience store, they also have a boutique near here.
“See you around.” He just smiled casually at me.
My world stopped. He smiled at me! I didn't respond to him as I immediately ran inside my room.
I think my soul is smiling the whole time because of Dawn. I immediately had the appetite to do things today though, I want to know where his unit is but, I'll just think of that later. I want to visit Daddy now. Since I don't have a car, I just texted our butler to pick me up here. Heck, I don't want to commute. Never—err, I haven't tried it yet and I don't want to.
I immediately ran in Dad's direction as I entered our mansion. Damn, I miss this! I miss Daddy, as well as my room, goodness my closet!
“I miss you Dad!” I clung to his arms as we walked to the living room. “Oh, we've only been separated for a few days, you're overreacting.” he chuckled.
I crossed my arms. What? I am not overreacting. “Don't you miss me, Dad?” I furrowed my brows. I thought he'll be intimidated by the not-so-scary glare of mine. I don't know why he is laughing.
“Of course I miss you. So now, change your clothes because I can smell the sourness of your body.” he cringed. Now, he is the one who's overreacting.
“Whatever” I rolled my eyes secretly. Of course, I don't smell bad, it's just I'm sweating as I still can't get over it. Oh my, I'm smiling again.
For the whole day, I and Daddy just stayed at home. He even cooked me my favorite chicken curry though, he is not as good as Mommy but at least, he cooked for me. It didn't taste bad though, it can't ruin the arrangement of my digestive system.
He cooked all of our meals and I insisted on washing the dishes. He couldn't believe that I am starting to learn some household chores now, well the perks of living alone in your unit. I then also insisted on doing the laundry and Daddy's reaction, he is still in shock.
When the night comes, I collapse as usual to my bed and grab my glittery phone who's currently ringing. It was Dawn's name who appeared on the screen. I screamed for a second before clicking the answer button.
“Where are you?” I heard a deep and manly voice from the other line.
I bite my lower lip to stop from smiling. He's starting to be clingy now, I think?
“I'm in our mansion, why?” I then heard a heavy sigh. Sigh from him. “I see. Okay then, bye… goodnight.”
I raised my eyebrows. He called me just because of that?! And then now he's ending the call?! I can't understand this man's actions. He's thoughts as well.
“O-okay?”
The weekend passed in a blink. For those days, I only focused on studying and then at night, having late-night talks with Dawn. I always slept well because of the smile that was always plastered on my face.
I also started to go to the gym so my body will look better. If I become sexier, my body will be nicer. I don't think my admirers can be calm anymore. They'll surely drool over me, and got more hypnotized by my presence. Gorgeous and sexy, oh my, that is how I can describe myself.
Every week, I only go to the gym three times. However, my days are still not happy. I haven't seen Dawn in the past few days. I don't know where he is but maybe he's busy. I want to see him so I can ask about him more! I still don't know much about him but I don't know why I always feel comfortable if I'm talking with him.
“Wanna have some bites with me?”
The boy at my back is bugging me. I suddenly cringed when I saw how large his muscles are. As in, they are so large so I find it intimidating. I didn't entertain him but he's stupid enough if he didn't get why I didn't entertain him.
I headed to the shower room since I feel like I need to shower. I smell like expired vinegar—eww.
“Hey, uh, what about I'll bring you back to your place?”
I rolled my eyes when I realized that he waited for me to come out of the room. I am wearing a white tank-top, and denim short pants.
“No need, I am busy sorry, maybe just next time—”
“What next time?”
My eyes widened when I felt an arm in my shoulder. The boy who's in front of me seemed became uneasy because of what he saw. He just awkwardly smiled at me and waved goodbye.
“S-sorry man!” he tapped Dawn's biceps.
What was that? Never in my wildest dreams did I expect that maybe we'll see each other here. I should've worn a nicer outfit. He just appeared from out of nowhere like an immortal!
“What are you doing here?” I turned to him.
“Work out?”
I rolled my eyes. I gritted my teeth as I really want to punch this man but his eyes are stopping me.
“I mean, why are you doing here, here in front of me.” I crossed my arms.
He shrugged. “I don't know either. My feet just bought me here—by the way, are you hungry? my treat.”
Is this some kind of date? He is asking me on a date? Oh my, I didn't put any make-up on my face. However, who am I to refuse then? This is one of my dreams.
I nodded at him and headed to his black mustang. He opened the shotgun seat for me to get in and then he turned around, to the driver's seat. He drove just smoothly and safely. I roamed my eyes to the houses we passed. I even saw a couple kissing in the pedestrian lane, it was just a smack. Luckily, those two weren't hit by a vehicle.
My mouth half-opened when I realize where we are. This is one of the most luxurious restaurants I've known!
“We're here.”
I turned to him in awe. “We'll eat there?” I pointed to the Italian Restaurant just a few walks away.
He nodded. I still can't believe it. It's not like I haven't done it here. Well, and my best of friends often go here at the end of the semester but mostly, we always went to a bar to have drinks.
I suddenly felt uneasy when the people's eyes darted towards me. As if they can't believe that the people who wear tank-top can't afford to eat at the luxurious restaurant. So, judgmental. They are looking at me disgustingly. Opposite to how they look at the man I'm with.
I felt an arm snaking on my waist. The moment I first met Dawn, that was the moment I suddenly became a red tomato.
“Don't mind them. They won't pay for our food anyway.” I heard him.
I just leave a sigh and sit on the table near the glass wall where the view of the city can be seen. It relaxed my whole system.
Dawn let me choose foods to order. The moment the order arrived, I suddenly felt hungry. Funny how I refuse the boy with large muscles lately when in fact I'm really hungry. Well, maybe thanks to Dawn who saved me from him. He is still so intimidating.
“Actually, I wanna say sorry for everything.” He started a topic.
My brows furrowed as I didn't get him. He didn't do anything bad for me so why is he sorry? “For what?”
He cleared his throat. “For everything.”
I rolled my eyes and looked away.“You know, you should be more specific Dawn.”
“Hmm, okay. I'm sorry for that night. I am the reason why you sunken on the ground. ”
What? Sunk on the ground? I don't remember anything! Oh my, is he going to tell me that maybe I'm pregnant now? I know he's pertaining to the night where we first met.
“Sunk on the ground? Yah! Dawn, I'm not clumsy!” I laugh sarcastically but I then realize that maybe it's true.
My ass and hips were in pain when I woke up. Oh my!
“You sunked yourself on the ground and you told me that your hips are in pain. I harshly grabbed your hands to lift you up and then suddenly, you vomited. You told me that you want to go home because you are tired already but I don't think Mr. Addingston would be glad if he'll see you wasted. I asked you where you want to go and then, you told me you want to go with me. I don't have a choice so I'll bring you to my unit and let you sleep in my guest room.” he discussed.
My mind almost flew away figuring out what he said. I glared at him many times to make sure that he's saying the truth but I can't see anything but seriousness in him. So, maybe it's true? That was cringe.
“Nothing happened between us? Uh, you know what I mean…” I awkwardly asked.
“You're drunk that time and tired, and I am not an asshole to take advantage of your situation. Heck.”
So, that means nothing happened? I am not pregnant? Damn, I sighed in relief. Finally, I knew it. Daddy won't be able to kick my ass off the mansion.
I was about to open another topic when I saw a man who just entered the restaurant in my peripheral vision. I turned in his direction and my eyes widened when I realized that he's familiar.
Damn, Ethann is here and our eyes met! I even saw how his eyes became dark as if I'm cheating on him. Yuck, he's not my boyfriend to act territorial.
