Chương 4 College Reunion

In the morning, Jirah woke up early to cook breakfast and to prepare the stuff she needed for the reunion. She had compiled Terrence's pictures on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media accounts. It was tiring for her, but still, she managed to make an effort for the man she adored most.

All her doings at that time caught the attention of her parents' eyes. They even said to her, "Jirah dear, why are you so obsessed with this actor?" her mother asked.

She just smiled and answered, "Mom, It's part of growing up. He's my idol and that's all."

Her father asked, in addition, "Did he appreciate you if he saw that banner?"

Jirah smiled again and answered, "Dad, even if he can't see this, I know he will appreciate his fan's efforts." Then, they just nodded and left Jirah alone to let her concentrate on her doings.
July 05,2021, the exact date set by the College Reunion Committee for the gathering of former students who had completed their courses at Fordwell University. Earlier to arrive at the venue, were other well-known people in the field of business of which the university is proud. Jirah and Gwen also arrived early because they were eager to greet the people who attended the event, most especially actor Terrence.

It was half past one when Terrence arrived in front of the Fordwell University building. He rode in his sports car with his make-up artist, Mangxie. Just like him, they both graduated from the same university.

"Mangxie, you go out first," the actor said, who was turning his head towards the gay.

"Yes boss," responded the gay man, who then automatically pushed the car's door.

Thirty seconds later, the actor got out of the car. As soon as he got out of his car, he felt the warm welcome of his alma mater. Even though he had not yet entered the venue, he assumed that the former students and the organizers had prepared a surprise for him.

Before he left the car, the driver asked him first.

"Boss, what time will I pick you up?" the driver asked.

"I'll just make a call to your phone," he replied with a smile. "Drive on, I'll go," he added.

He then took a few steps into the venue and his driver calmly drove the car.

At exactly 2:00 in the afternoon, the program started. The venue was occupied by a group of people who graduated from the university according to their year of graduation. The girls didn't come just for socialization, but for the main attraction of their event.

It's Terrence Johnson, an actor from the JCI TV network and a former student of Fordham University, who came from his busy schedule of endorsements to extend his gratitude to his alma mater. Yes, Terrence and Jirah had graduated from the same school, but were different in the courses they took.

As the program started, Jirah didn't notice Terrence's arrival. She had been waiting for a long time on a pathway where the man was supposed to be passing, but unfortunately, the actor changed his route. The actor just passed by the exit of the auditorium because his fans might have hit him on the entrance pathway.

Later, Gwen came to Jirah and asked her, "Bessy, what are you doing here?"

She looked around hoping to see her idol and replied to her friend, "I will wait for Terrence's arrival."

Gwen couldn’t understand whether she would laugh or get angry at her friend’s mania for the actor, so she came up with the idea of telling her the truth: Terrence didn't appear on the pathway.

"What? Come to me," invited by Gwen, simultaneously clutching her hands, but the maiden resisted."

What's wrong with you, Jirah? Terrence just got there. That's why I came to you. Hurry, let's go before it's too late to see him."

They both just smiled at what Jirah did. She just waited for nothing and didn't want to go with her friend when she invited her to go to the venue. So, they immediately ran fast while holding hands together.

While the friends were running, a man suddenly bumped into Jirah's chest. The young man's collision with Jirah was so strong that the hands of the best friends separated from their tight grip on each other.

Both sides fell, but Jirah was more hurt because the man collided with him. How come? While walking, the stranger just looked at the phone he was holding, and just ignored the path, so he accidentally collided with an innocent woman when, at that time, the best friends were in a hurry to run fast.

"Ouch! What the f**k!" she shouted.

"My gosh! My baby Terrence, I'm sorry. I put you in a mess."

She was just carrying a banner for her idol Terrence, which was then broken by the man who hit her. She almost wept as she embraced the images of her idol. So when it was time for the man to help her stand up, she scolded him and, out of anger, she was unable to look at the man's appearance."

Miss, I'm sorry. Are you okay?" the man asked.

"Don't touch me. You ruined everything," Jirah said while wiping her tears yet still holding her idol's pictures.

The man just picked up her stuff while staring at the pictures in his hand. Jirah didn't try to look at the man's face, but rather chose to get back her belongings from the man's hand.

They were surrounded by the people who attended the reunion as they witnessed the incident. The girls talked to each other and Jirah heard it all. Later, Gwen helped Jirah to stand on the ground and the man stood up too.

"Calm down Jirah, all is well. Okay?" Gwen encouraged Jirah to feel at ease and not to shame herself in front of their viewers.

"No! I can't. He hit me and I didn't want to claim my defeat. You know me, Jirah," Jirah said angrily, squinting her eyes at her best friend.

Gwen just sighed and said, "Jirah stop. I know who you are, but look, this time is different."

Jirah got hotter after her friend said she had calmed down. She really wanted to beat the man who hit her. If not for the people looking at them, she would have done that.

"What makes it different, bessy? I was the one who was hit by this man, but you insisted I stop yelling? Oh my God!" She yelled and pointed her finger at the man, but her eyes bulged with anger facing Gwen.

Gwen could hardly look at her friend because of the discomfort it caused at those times. With so many people watching them, and Jirah still being stubborn, she had no choice but to present the man in front of them.

"Jirah, wake up. Don't look at my face. Turn your head to him."

Gwen pointed her finger at the man who hit Jirah a while ago. And, it was a big shock for Jirah upon seeing the man in front of her was none other than a man she had known all her life, Mr.—
