So with much conviction, I refused to tell my family about him and I needed a way to see him.
"How do I get to leave home without them asking me questions about my whereabouts," I thought of a way knowing who my family was, that was how an idea struck me.
I decided to tell them I was going for lessons, with my school mates seeing school wasn't on section and we had to revise our book for the new section coming up.
I know I shouldn't have lied but they gave me no other option but to result in lying to them, and trust me, it hurts me more to lie to their faces.
"Okay honey" mom gave me her permission, as well as dad, which printed a fake smile on my face.
"Thank you " hurriedly I left to my room, shutting the door behind me when I heard my reflection glamouring out to me.
"Liar liar Karina" those words drew a spare through my heart and it made me feel like the worst person on earth, lying to them like that.
"Don't judge me" I walked up to the mirror glaring at my reflection gazing at me.
"Am not, remember we are one of the same people" it says to me with a smirk on.
"I hope everything goes smoothly" I let out a deep breath which made my reflection Chuckle out.
"Was that supposed to be funny" I tossed a question glaring at it when my sister alters behind me.
"Who are you talking too?" She drew a confused look on her face, as I turned to face her.
"Sister didn't hear you come in" I quickly walked up to where she stood running a hand on my face.
"Am certain you didn't, you were busy arguing with your self in the mirror"  her words made me laugh out, and truly it felt crazy.
"Are you okay, you know you can talk to me" my sister said to me, with a sad look on.
"I am fine sister, just being my usual self" I asserted to her, as she looked at me for some seconds before altering back.
"Okay, but know we all love you and want the best for you, don't forget that"
Those were her words to me, as I looked at her with a smile on my face.
The day finally arrived and I left to meet him at a guest house, hence the moment I saw him, he really was handsome in real life.
We talked for hours and got to know each other more, thus I forgot that time was far spent and my mom must be worried about me.
"I have to go now," I said to him with a smile, as he looks at the time in his watch.
"It's only four," he says asking for more time with me.
I kept quiet for a while before I obliged his request against all odds.
"So tell me more about yourself" I was so Inquisitive to know more about him, some how I believe that there was more to him that meets the eyes.
Time flow at a pace, so when I checked the time it was passed seven, and I glimpse at my phone was also off, I knew mom must have been calling me.
In my head all I can imagine was, my family, setting up my funeral, all I needed to do was to confess my sins to God, so I rushed off placing a kiss on his cheeks.
"I have to go now" quickly I ran back home when I saw my family sited in the living room waiting for me.
"Where are you coming from" mom's words drew everyone's attention to me
"Oh shit, am in trouble," I thought of away in order to save my skin and no other way than to lie once again to them.
"Sorry mom, I was stuck in traffic, you know how it is " I replied back with those words, hoping that they believe me.
"Yes mom, she's right, before you can get a taxi to school you have to wait and after that, the heavy traffic " my sister surprised alter which pinned a stunned look on my face.
"Okay, go freshen up and come have your dinner"  mom lets out to me, as I ran up to my room, shutting the door behind me.
So after having my breakfast,  I had a knock on the door and saw a mom holding a tray of warm milk in it.
"Let me help you with that mom" I quickly got up from the bed, pulling away from the tray from her hand to the stool next to me, when she asked me a question.
"So, how was the Lesson today," she says halting for a response.
"It was fine mom, we learned a lot"  I responded back to her wearing a fake smile on my face.
"Am glad honey" she placed a kiss on my cheeks, as I watched her walk away.
"Lord please forgive me and also help me" those were the words I muttered to myself the minute mom left the room when a text message from David came through.
"Good evening dearie, my apologies for not being able to call, but I hope you got back home safely, goodnight and I love you"
"I love you?" I must be dreaming, so I read through the message again and saw the same words to me.
It pinned a smile on my face, as I tucked myself in bed, sleeping till the following morning.
The Sunshine so brightly or was it me, that couldn't stop smiling based on the text message I got last night.
I know it's crazy to mutter the words " I love you" to a girl you only just met face to face but to me, it was like I won a jackpot and David was his name.
I got so accustomed to him, and as the day passed, I fell for him the more, thus no day left without hearing his voice, likewise him.
We also decided to meet again the second time in his house, and trust me, I accepted without heeding any second thoughts.
