"ARE you now happy?" Janice said while laughing about how their parents are arguing.
"Very happy!" Nica's smile widened.
"That's certainly just for now, things won't go your way forever! You will end up the same way as your mom!" Janice stated, fearless.
Nica's smile turned into a grin as she glared at her half-sister.
"Don't trust your assumptions yet," Nica smirked. "Who knows, right?"
"Don't assume that Chrismith will be yours, I know he is just granting his ill father's wish." Janice will not let Nica win the argument.
"Really?" Nica grinned at Janice. "I'm not as bad as you and your mother, so I will give you a chance to prove that Chrismith loves you."
Janice is displeased with what is on Nica's mind.
"I will give you two weeks to make him fall for you. If you succeed before we get married, then he is all yours." Nica challenged Janice.
"I don't need to seduce him, he is mine to begin with!" she is fuming.
"Then," Nica raise her eyebrow. "Why is he okay with marrying me if his heart is yours?" Nica wants to piss Janice off more than she already is.
"Because just like your mother did, you are using your power in the company!" Janice gritted her teeth and tried to calm her voice.
Instead of being irked, Nica burst out laughing. "And like your mother, you also hide your real personality to make everyone like you. You are both using the people around you and steal the things that you know will never belong to you."
Janice calmed herself. She did not wish for her father to know that they are quarrelling. "I accept your challenge."
"I like the sound of it!" Nica smiled at her half-sister. "That's just what I wanted to hear. Now, prove to me that you can do more than just to claim my work."
Nica looked at her sister and grinned as their eyes met. "I'll let you bring out your own stench without you noticing," Nica's thought. She smirked, she can almost see flames in Janice's eyes.
Even though Nica has left, Janice's heart is still pounding because of anger. She quickly picked up the glass of cold water on the mini table and drank it all.
Nica's feet seemed to have wings as she sprang towards her room. The joy that she was feeling was subdued by the thought of the sadness that might come the next day. However, she is confident that she will win the deal she made with Janice.
Janice slowly approached her parents' room and knocked on the door. They were still arguing which made her head even hotter.
"Enough, Margaret!" Alfonso turned his back on his wife who is not losing. This is their first time fighting like this and opposing his decision.
"Dad, I agree with Mom," Janice commented when she got inside, looking sad. "You know that I like him and we're the ones dating."
Stressed, Alfonso sat on their soft bed and stared sadly at his eldest daughter. "I'm sorry, Janice. I really have to do this, not only for the company, but also because I miss your sister a lot, I don't like her being so rebellious."
Janice burst into tears of resentment toward her father. She had always favored Nica when they talk about her without her knowing. "How about my happiness, Dad?"
Alfonso sighed and stared at his daughter. "We know that Chris only considers you as a friend and he already agreed to marry your sister."
"But it's still up to you to decide which of them will be married to him!" Margaret interrupted her husband. She approached Janice and hugged her to comfort her because she knew she is upset with her father.
"Enough about this issue," he turned his back on his wife and faced his daughter. "You're smart, so you should understand this. C'mon, I know you can easily find a man who suits you better."
Janice ran out of the room, she feels so much resentment for her father. She knew her mother would follow her and she wanted to talk only to her.
"Ma, do something!" She pleaded, she knows that her mother is aware of her love for Chrismith.
"Calm down, Janice! Luisa is on our side, don't lose hope. Apart from that, they maybe are marrying each other, but they will soon get divorced." Margaret said to lessen her daughter's heartache.
"But I don't want to be a second wife like you!" Janice gone wild as she replied to her mother.
"Then what do you want me to do? Push the things that you want to your father and make the issue complicated? You should be happy because Nica didn't reveal your very secret. You stole her design!" She scolded her daughter.
Janice rolled her eyeballs at her mother. That's what she does every time they are alone. She shows her bad side that she cannot show to others.
"Don't tell me you're being stupid because of your love for Chrismith. I'm telling you, use your brain and not your heart!"
"If you can't do anything to make their wedding cancelled, then I will do something myself." Janice stood up, irritated with her mother. She then left. She entered her bathroom and slammed the door close.
"Janice, stop whatever you're planning!" Margaret knocked on the door. She knows that Janice is hiding to get rid of her.
Janice did not mind the noise of her mother. She sat like a child in the bathtub. She covered her ears using her hands. Minutes passed before she decided to leave because her mother is not there anymore. She changed her clothes quickly and left the mansion without letting them know.
Nica quickly hid herself when she saw her half-sister who looked like a thief walking into the living room. She looked around, as if making sure no one sees her. When she got out of her hiding place, she ran back to her room to get her car key. She just put on a jacket and did not care to change her pajamas because of the rush. When she came out of the door, she saw the gate was open and her sister's car was gone.
"Where are you going?"

Nica's eyeballs rotated 60 degrees when she heard her father's voice. Now, she is caught, unlike her half-sister.
"Since when have you been concerned about where I'm going?" She answered rudely to her father. She feels irritated because she could no longer follow her sister.
"It's likely that she'll just have drinks with her loose friends." Margaret commented.
"Guard your daughter, not my life!" Nica insulted Margaret.
"I don't have to keep an eye to your sister because she doesn't tend to leave without saying goodbye, especially at night."
"Are you sure she's letting you know?" She challenges Margaret's arrogance.
Margaret's eyes suddenly rolled and she was forced to notice that her daughter's car is gone. "Honey, let her do what she wants because she's grown up. Let's go inside and relax." She led her husband while she believes that what she saw in the garage is just on her imagination.
Alfonso sighed as he stared at his child. "Be careful and make sure to drink moderately."
Nica just shook her head as her eyes watched the back of the two. She is disappointed in her father.
Nica continued driving while thinking where Janice possible went to. Her instinct says that maybe she is planning to do something to win their deal. She has been driving for half an hour without any direction until she decided to call the person who she knows that there is a possibility of Janice going to.
