9:00 A.M. (Friday)
"MR. CUEVAS AND MS. DOMINGO got 1.00 for their great performance as employer and employees to our mini-scripted play in our subject. Congratulation to both of you." Mrs. Arandela, our adviser said.
After we heard her announcements, our classmates applauded after our performance. We got 1.00 grade; you’d think our grade would be too high. Lara and I didn’t believe with our luck. We are shocked and we hugged each other with an overwhelmed joy, and our friends especially Vanessa, noticed that. I didn’t put off any longer if we had any problems. We talked for a while.
“I’m sorry for what happened. I shouldn’t have done that." I said.
"I knew you are right. Lancelot, you deserve someone better and I’m not that. I saw it when you defended her yesterday, I can’t do what you did I wish I can do it with the person I loved. "
She also cried many times, Vanessa will not be lost she’s still my friend no matter what. What just ended is the chance to be in a relationship. Maybe I’m the only one who insists for something I can’t reach. I’m not looking at what’s in front of me anymore. I’m really stupid.
I hope everything will be fine. But I was wrong, I was wrong man. Richard’s friends bullied again. Lara and I were walking in the lobby when suddenly someone threw a bucket with full of water. Lara shielded me and she got wet, out feet slipped and then suddenly we fell to the floor.
She was on top of me, smiling as if to say goodbye.
“Thank you Lance for everything!!! Now it’s my turn to defend you. This is the last time. Goodbye!"
After that I closed my eyes and when I woke up, she disappeared in front of me.
She’s gone.
I don’t know what kind of game it is. Are you kidding me?
I closed my eyes, opened again. But she really is gone.
Is it just magic that I met her? Is this the end of all the fun we both have?
1:00 P.M.
I’ve been looking for her all day but I can’t find her anywhere.
Until I spotted Jake and Charles in the lobby.
"Dude, I’m sorry for what happened….
And my friends and I are pretty ok now.
I learned what the value of our friendship.
After that I told them of Lara’s sudden disappearance.
"Why don’t you go to the place where you first met her? Maybe you can see her there." Charles said. He seems to be concerned with what happened to me.

I did go to the subway but still I couldn’t see her even her children on the street.
I was losing hope but I still had to believe in myself.
I rolled my eyes and soon I saw her sitting on the bench.
I approached her and I was very happy at those times.
“There you are……..
She stood up and faced me.
"What are you doing here? Go away…. Forget about me….
"What are you saying?" I asked.
I can’t understand her. I held her hands. She tries to get away,
“I’m not good enough Lancelot….
“What are you saying? I know from the bottom of my heart…. You’re the one…. I love you….." I said.
"No! you don’t love me; you just want to break the curse so that I can lose you forever."
"Yes Lance. I was cursed, I get ugly and I go back in time everyday where I am insulted and abused by children I longed for. I have a bad manner, and whoever the guy can break that ‘curse’ after 7 days I will return to my former form and I will find my true love. And what worse, after 7 days I will disappear from the world. But I think it’s not you, you only think of yourself."
Ouch huh! Yes on the other side she is quite right but eventually, as time goes by, I also don’t understand why I seem to be falling in love with her as well and little by little I see her goodness beyond his imperfection. There is more than that that I want to be with for life.

This is it! Sure, the retreat will die.
She approached me, staring into my eyes as if reading my whole being.
"Are you sure? Even if I’m the ugliest creature on earth?" Her eyes seem to be talking.
Am I going to melt? I asked myself.
I took her hands and kissed her sincerely.
"Sure, Ugly duckling ever since I met you even if you are the only one left in the world. You’re still the one I love." I’m already smiling forever. I’m thrilled.
She smiled. The sweetest smile I’ve seen. I was blushing so much and she hugged me tightly.
She spoke.
“I love you Lance Timothy G. Cuevas.”
I would have spoken more in case she suddenly applied her lips to mine.
I close my eyes.
I felt how real love is. It looks like a lot of volts exploded that day, looks like it’s new year.

It was as if someone had passed by doing a soundtrip in front of us. Such scene stealer.
I opened my eyes, Awestruck! I was stunned.
Her appearance changed, the specs in her eyes disappeared, the brace also disappeared and an even set of her teeth appeared. Angel in disguise, she looks beautiful.
The seven days were finally completed and I was with the ugly woman who made my heart beat. But after this day, I was shocked that she gradually disappeared from my sight, her mission here on earth is over. She found her true love but we are not the one for forever. She is just a memory that sticks in my heart. A beautiful fantasy that will not grow old with the coming of many years.
I cried many times; I was still looking for her all the time from the awakening of my eyes in the morning until the evening. As days went by, I slowly moved on until I had buried myself in grief. I look at the bright side of my future and I just focused on my studies. I know that wherever she is now I’m sure she is proud of me.
My parents returned safely from their vacation and they tried to fill in their gaps with me. We lived in a bungalow-type house nearby my condo and I felt then that my life had the right direction.
The first semester was coming to an end and one day I thought about going for a walk in the park.
I decided to sit on the bench when suddenly I noticed something in the distance. There was a man selling a lot of balloons and one balloon accidentally flew out of his grasp. I followed the sight of the flying balloon in which direction it was going. I look closely and for a moment it goes close to my direction. But I was shocked that I had someone next to me and she caught the balloon.
Exactly when I caught, I glimpsed of her we both stared at each other eyes.
I studied her face carefully. She got large and lively eyes, evenly spaced teeth, heart-shaped lips and small face-shaped. At that moment my heartbeat suddenly quickened, my memories returned. I never thought this would happen, that we will meet again in an unexpected place. At first I thought it was all just a dream. I rolled my eyes and blinked so that I can be sure that everything I see is true.
She smiled for a moment and suddenly everything lit up.
She saw a toddler and she handed the balloon. Then she looked back at me.
She spoke.
"Hi!"
I replied.
"Hello!"
I thought the time stopped those moments we both looked at each other.
