Teacher enters the room and gives instructions.
It's day two of class and everyone is getting ready for out first subject by our adviser ma'am Telpo.
Napaka strict niya, kapag sinabi niyang test dapat alerto agad kuha ng papel at ball pen.
"Okay class good morning, prepare for the long quiz. I'll give you five minutes to study and after that we will start the long quiz, okay?" As we expected, may test nga.
"Okay ma'am." All of my classmates' responses.
Bryan wake himself from his daydreaming. He get his notebook and laptop to study for 5 mins and see Ryza's sad face.
Our school is a very good school. Students are allowed to use their gadgets while the teacher is discussing. Walang bawal sa amin.
"Mate are you right?" He saw me finding my pen. Bakit pa kass nawala pa ang bolpen ko. Ngayon pa na mayroong quiz, hay naku. Ano ang gagawin ko. Strikto pa naman ang guro namin.
"I lost my pen, what to do Bryan?" I'm a little bit nervous. The test will start soon and I lost my pen.
Nagpapanic na ako which is wrong. Eh kase naman eh ang bolpem kung saan saan na napunta. Kapag nalaman ko lang kung sino ang kumuha no'n makakatikim talaga sa akin.
"Don't worry I have some extra pen here, wait a second I'll just get it. Here Mate." Thank God Byran is here. He let me borrow his pen.
Hay, life saver talaha itong si Bryan. He's always there, ready to help me all the time.
Inabot niya sa aking ang isa sa mga Pilot niya na bolpen. Sabi nila nice ball pens will give you good grades. Kaya sana naman, maperpek ko ang test namin.
Nakita ako ng guro namin na insabot ang ballpen no Bryan. Kabado bente pa ako, kase naman ayokong maparusahan ako.
"Miss Aquino and Mr. Patrico, is there any problem?" While getting the pen, our teacher sees me talking to Bryan and she approaches me.
Habang lumalapit siya, my hands are shaking. Natatakot ako kapag ang isang guro ay strikto.
"No ma'am, I'm sorry I lost my pen so I borrowed Bryan's extra pen." I reasoned.
"Oh okay, two mins class." She reply.
She's strict and yes we're like a ten year old baby. We're paying so much attention to her while giving instructions.
"Mate, are you okay? Do you need anything?"
Narinig kong bulong ni Bryan. Ayokong madadamay siya sa mga gulong ginagawa ko.
"I'm okay and thank you for asking, let's focus, okay good luck."
"Good luck mate." At ang ngiti niyang napakasarap tingnan ang bumungad sa mga mata ko. Para akong nilalason ng mga ngiti niya.
The Longs test started in their General Mathematics subject and fifty items and solutions were required. There's no choices and it involves Rational Function. While the whole class is finishing the 2 mins remaining time, Bryan Mendoza can't turn away his eyes to Ryza. A while ago the teacher started to ask questions.
Teacher
"So this is our test, fifty items and this is your first summative test in my class. The student/s who'll get a perfect score, I'll give him/her an exempted one summative test. Is that clear class?"
Mukhang magandang deal siya. Why not diba. Sino ba naman ang may ayaw na mabawasan ang mga bigating bagay sa utak niya.
After their teacher gives them instructions and conditions, she then leaves the room and we'll be back after thirty mins. The student should pass their test and she'll check it.
"Bryan, can I ask? What did you do for this part? It's kinda hard." Ang hirap kase, bakit pa kase puro ganito ganyan.
"I'll give you my solution but don't share it okay?" Life saver ko talaga si Bryan. Siya lang rin naman ang kilala ko na mapagkakatiwalaan sa room namin. Kaya sa tuwing pinapakopya niya ako ay hindi na rin ako nagpapakopya sa iba.
"Sure no problem, thank you!" Gumaan ang loob ko sa narinig ko. Mabuti naman ang nandito siya. Kase kung wala, paktay, wala na.
Thirty minutes passed by and their teacher is waiting them all to pass their test.
"After you pass your test, you can go out and have lunch. Thank you for today, class."
Agad namang nagsipag unahan ang mga kaklase ko na lumabas ng pinto. Masyadong mahaba ang araw na ito para sa aming lahat. Paparating na rin ang finals namin at kailangan naming maghanda kase alam kong babahain na naman kami ng mga gawain.
The rest of our time should be used for resting. Dapat magpahinga, ipahinga ang utak, ang katawan, at ang espirito.
After Ryza passed her test she then went out to their room and planned to eat lunch. She did not realize that Bryan was still inside their room, she didn't mind it but went her own way down the first floor.
"Mate wait for me, you're leaving without me?"
Ay nakalimutan ko pala na nasa loob pa si Bryan. Hayst naman Ryza para kang lutang.
Kaya naman I stop and wait him to come out.
"Sorry Bry I'm just sleepy and tired today, I want to eat something." Ako pa talaga ang may ganang magsabi na pagod at gutom.
"I'll treat you, let's go to the cafeteria, do you want to eat there or not?" Iti-treat niya na naman daw ako. Ako na ang nahihiya sa aming dalawa.
"Anywhere, I just want to eat right now, let's hurry, Bry."
Kapag gutom ka kase hindi mo na naiisip kung saan ka pupunta.
"Okay, okay. Give me your backpack, I'll carry it for you."
"No, it's fine."
"Don't be shy Mate, it's okay to give it to me." Bakit ba namimilit siya? Hayst, wala na akong magawa kundi ibigay sa kanya ang backpack ko. Total namimilit naman siya, why not give it to him diba.
"You know what, you're so humble and kind Bryan. I love the way you treat me."
"You're my closest friend here, so it's normal that I'll treat you nicely with humbleness and kindness."

Tama nga naman, dala-dalaaa lang kami ang magkakila dito bakit pa kami magkakahiyaan diba. Anyways, basta makakain na ako gutom na gutom na kase ako eh.
"Thanks Bry, oh we're here. Let's order some food."
"No no no, just wait here I'll order food for us, I know your favorite."
"You're the best friend ever, Bryan Mendoza Patrico."
Before Bryan leaves Ryza to order their food he gives her a smirk and his widely smiley face.
Ano ba, ayan na naman ang ngiti niya. Hindi ko talaga mapigilang kiligin sa ngiti niya, napaka gwapo niya.
"Food is here, let's eat Mate. Eat all you want."
Akma na sana kaming kakain kaso nakita namin si Alex na papalapit sa table namin. I remember ang sabi ni Bryan kagabi, he has crush on me.
"Hi Ryza, nice lunch can I join?" Bungad niya na parang may pagka hambog.
"No, it's full here, sorry." Kase ayokong makasama siya habang kumakain.
"You're mad at me Ryza?" Nakakunot-noo ako. Gano'n na ba ako ka sungit kapag nagsasalita? Hmm, I don't think so. Iba lang ata ang pagka intindi niya.
I'm sleepy tapos gutom pa, hayst ang sarili ko talaga hindi ko na maintindihan.
"Okay then, I'll just sit at the table behind you." Mabuti nga at lumayo ka. Nakakawala ka ng gana sa pagkain ko.
"Eat well, Alex."
"You two Ryza and Bryan." Huling mga salitang narinig ko bago siya umalis.
Alex Alcala is not a bad guy, he just always wants to have someone's attention. He's always flirting with the girls inside their campus and even their teacher he's flirting with them. He's not ugly tho', actually he's tall, pointed nose, red lips, curly hair and always wears a black and white outfit. He always loves to tease someone, especially those pretty girls out there and he hasn't had a girlfriend since birth. It's just that his hobby is flirting(pa fall). He is scared of commitment and he always thinks that everything and situation is a joke, he doesn't take anything serious in life. He doesn't care if someone in front of him dies. He's too brave to become an enemy so if you encounter him, better be friends with him and be careful of the words you say to him because he's a high temper guy. When he's angry he can't control it, anyone can be affected by his guilt. He grew up in a neutral family where their main source of living is their shop. A jewelry and shoe shop as well as for men's and women's outfits. His family really loves designs in clothes and also the fabric. Alex is a good guy and also a dancer too. He's a nice friend when you get to know him a little bit.
"Bryan, can we go buy some drinks?"
"Sure, what drinks do you like? I only know you like water." Oo nga naman, tubig nga naman ang gusto ko. Pero this time gusto ko maiba.
"Yeah, water. No big deal."
The bell is ringing, it's time for our last subject. Ang bilis lang ng mga araw noh.
"Mate, it's time for our last subject. Let's go, I'll buy you a bottle of water, let's go."
"Okay, sure." Sabay akong tumayo kasama siya at umalis na kami.
They both go to their room to attend their last subject class and it's General Biology. While the teacher is preparing, one new girl enters the room.
"(Ryza is shouting)Lara? Lara you're here." Nagulat ako kasi si Lara nandito. She's my old friend.
"Hi Ryza, yes I'm your new transferee student, good afternoon everyone I am Lara Faye Temblor and hope to get to know y'all here. Hi ma'am good afternoon." Kita sa mga mata niya na nahihiya siya.
"You're here Lara, it's nice to see you, have a seat and we'll start our class."
As scheduled, the class started at one pm and ended at 3:30 pm and the students inside their room are very excited to go home after class because it's the weekend. They want to sleep so badly and have some fun with their friends, maybe going out and having a movie marathon. So after their class, the main gate opens and all of the students are speeding going home and others are waiting for their drivers. Bryan directly went home after he said goodbye to Ryza and also Alex. Lara and Ryza go to a little milk tea shop to talk and gossip and also consult each other.
Bryan's POV
It's my birthday tomorrow and Ryza doesn't know about it yet. Do I need to tell her or not? Maybe she's busy or wants to rest all day. I don't want to disturb her especially when it is her rest day. But I want her to know about my feelings. I want to confess and let her know how much I care for her. How valuable and precious she is to me, but in what way? What should I do to make it happen? Do I need Alex's help? Maybe? No, I don't ask help from someone, especially Alex. I dislike him, maybe he likes Ryza? No, no way. Hmmm what to do, what to do Bryan, make a plan faster. It's final I'll invite her to my birthday tomorrow and I'll confess to her. Please Lord, I want to know Ryza's feedback about my feelings. It's been 5months that I've been keeping it and I want her to know what I feel towards her. Please, Lord, make it happen tomorrow.
"Sir, are you alright? Why are you so bothered?" Basag ni Tito Nick sa katahimikan na nabubuo sa loob ng kotse.
"No Tito Nick, it's just that uhm, nevermind." Nag-aalinlangan pa ako kase baka mamaya isumbong niya ako kay Daddy.
"Sir, you have a girlfriend noh?" Hala lagot.
"No Tito Nick, I don't have a girlfriend." Pagkukunwari ko. Hindi naman ako marunong magkunwari.
"Then what's on your mind? Something is bothering you. I can smell it."
Mga matatanda talaga ang lalakas mang-amoy.
"Uhm if I tell this to you, you promise to not tell mom and dad?" Para akong batang nagmamaktol eh. Nakakahiya.
"Sure sir, you can trust me. Go on, tell me what's bothering you so that I can give you some advice."
Mabuti naman at lalaki ang driver ko. Nakakaintindi sa akin.
"Tito Nick, I have a crush. She's my classmate, her name is Ryza. Ryza Maria Siosan Aquino and if you remember last time I told you to stop the car? The girl who got in? It's her tito Nick. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday and I have not told her yet. I want to tell her tonight and I'm praying that tomorrow is my lucky day."
"Sir, it's very simple. Listen carefully, you tell her tonight to come to your house tomorrow because it's your birthday and first surprise her. After your dad and mom's message, go to a quiet place with Ryza. At your rooftop or maybe at your garden area and then you need to have a timing so that your plan will succeed."
"After that, I'll give her a necklace or bracelet? As we saw on tv Tito Nick?"
"It's up to you if you will give her some surprise gift. I suggest that before you confess your feelings, make a conversation first like about Love, Horror there's a lot of topics and after that when she's smiling you go, tell her about your feelings it will become successful sir."
"Okay okay, got it, Tito Nick. But before I do it, let's practice first tonight. Is that okay Tito Nick?"
"Sure sir, no problem. We're here na, go and prepare for tonight's practice."
"Thanks Tito Nick."
As soon as the car stopped. Bryan gets out of their car and prepares for tonight's practice and hoping and praying that it will become successful tomorrow. But first she needs to call Ryza if she's home safe and sound and if she's going to his birthday tomorrow.
