PROLOGUE

I enjoy playing with my barbie doll. Because I'm the only one playing here. My parents are always away. Maybe it's because of their work that sometimes they don't have time to bond with me. When I was 3 years old, I always cried in our housemaid just to say 'call Mum and Dad to play with me' .
But now that I'm 8 eight years old. I'm thinking and I've imprinted on myself that my parents will never have time for me. At the age of eight. now, I have learned to be alone.
In fact, I'd rather be alone and entertain myself with my books and study all my lesson... Sometimes I just advance reading the lessons so that I can prepare myself immediately in case our Prof. asks a question, and when I get tired of reading, I just entertain myself by playing with my favorite toy doll.
Even at our school no one wants to be friends with me, I don't know why. Everyone is avoiding me ... Everyone is avoiding me like a chronic disease like Covid that is now spreading in the Country.
I wonder if destiny is just playing tricks on me not to have friends. But as I grew older, I learned to focus more on my studies. Because I hope that when I become good at academics my parents will be proud of me and they will pay attention to me.
I stopped in my deepest thoughts when I heard a knock from outside my door.
"Young lady, your breakfast is ready!" One of our maid shouted.
"Okay po! I'm coming out!" I shout here back.
Lumabas na ako sa malaking kwarto slash* lungga ko. Agad ko ng isinara ang may kalakihan kung pinto. Pero I still managed to open it even I'm small, dahil na rin siguro bata pa ako o sadyang maliit lang talaga ang height ko kaya pahirapan lung minsan ang pag abot ng knob ng aking pintuan. But what I said earlier, I still managed to open it.
Isang mahaba at Malayo- layong paglalakbay na naman ang aking gagawin ng makalabas ako ng aking kwarto. Mean, isang mahabang Stairs na naman ang dadaanan ko bago makarating ng tuluyan sa dinning Area.
Halata naman siguro na malaki yung bahay ng mga magulang ko dahil sa maraming chichiburiʼche na kailangang lakbayin bago makarating sa paparoonan ko.
Pero wala naman akong paki kung gaano sila ka yaman ang mahalaga sa akin ay ang magkaroon lang sila ng time sa akin kahit kunti lang.
Btw, masyado atang na pahaba ang aking pagsasalita at hindi na ako nakapag papakilala sa inyo. I'm Jazlyn Heather Brackett Only child of the Brackett family. Rich girl ... Who would rather just hide her true status and would rather pretend to be poor, a outlet for intellect, no friends, hated by everyone at school and an ugly ... nerd.
Nang makarating ako ng aming kitchen ay agad kung nakita sina mum and dad. Every month ay nakakasama ko sila ng isang araw pero kahit andito naman sila parang ganun parin ang pangyayari. I fell like I doesn't even exist in this mansion.
Papalapit ako sa kanila ng madinig ko yung pinaguusapan nila na naging sanhi ng pagtigil ko.
"Hon kailan ba natin sasabihin kay Heather ang tungkol sa pakikipagsundo dun sa ka business partner mo?." Mum ask dad with a big smile on her lip's.
"Sa takdang panahon, pag handa na syang malaman yun. Don't be so excited hon." dad said to mum.
Mukhang masaya pa silang ipamimigay nila ako maybe they really don't love me. Ano ba namang karapatan ko, wala naman akong magagawa dahil anak lang nila ako.
I see how sweet they are in each other. Siguro kung may bagay mag akong maipagmamalaki sa kanilang dalawa yun yung pagmamahal an nina mum and dad sa isa't isa.
Pero sana ganun din nila ako kamahal gaya ng pagmamahal nila sa isa't isa. My childhood life is not happy like a normal children playing in playground and like my classmate who really look happy with their play mates.
Nang maproseso ko na sa utak ko yung mga sinabi nila even though I don't really know what they really say pero alam kung ipapamigay nila ako sa mga  business partner ni dad.
Ay agad na akong pumarito sa hapag kainan kung saan nandoon sina mum and dad. Agad ko namang naagaw ang kanilang pansin kaya agad ko din silang binigyan ng halik sa kanikanilang pisnge. Kahit iparamdam nila sa akin na wala akong kwenta o hindi nila ipadama sa aking nagi-exist ako sa buhay nila ay mahal ko pa din sila.
Tanging ngiti ang sinukli nila sa akin at nagpatuloy na sila sa pagkain ng kanilang breakfast. Nanahimik nalang ako at nagpatuloy sa pagkain.
