c i r c u m s t a n c e s a r c
Four months passed...
All students from the University of the Central began climbing on Masungi Mountain in Tanay, Rizal for their assessment camping. The students were divided into two groups: men on the right side of the forest and women on the left side of the forest. The landscape of the entire mountain is breathtaking. They arrived at the top of Mount Masungi about an hour ago. On the mountain, they can also view the Cordillera mountain range. As the sun began to set, In the area, students and professors started building their tent communities.
"Okay everybody listen ang lahat ng mga kalalakihan ay sasama sa akin para manguha ng mga kahoy sa gubat!” bilin ng isang lalaking guro.
"Not again sir!" said the students na nagbibiro.
"Okay! If you don't want to come! I will kick you out here!" the prof replied.
"Joke lang sir Luke parang hindi ka naman mabiro!"
He is professor Luke worked as a Historian Instructor and Anthropologist at the University for nearly seventeen years he was a tall guy and mystic. Minutes later all the men left the camp for a while.
“Ladies! Listen!... Dahil wala pa ang boys kayo muna ang incharge para sa kanilang tent!”
"Yes ma'am!!" all women said, Ms. Tiffany also works as an English Instructor, but she has been doing so for nearly three years.
A young woman constructs a tent for her boyfriend on the outskirts of the camping area. The young woman was calmly building a tent, while her friends were on the other side of the camping area, she was a simple, intelligent, univision student, her hair was natural wavy dark-haired, her eyes color was brown, and her lips like a rose as well her cheeks.
"Delia! Delia! Hoy!!” as she approaches the young woman, a woman shouts at the end of the camping site.
“Christina! Bakit?”
“Kanina pa kita hinahanap andito ka lang pala?!... Delia samahan mo na lang kaya ako matulog sa tent mamaya please! please!” Christina said her face was down and begging with mercy.
“E! Bakit ako? Siguro takot kano?”
“Parang ganun na nga! Alam mo naman na hindi ako natutulog ng mag-isa lalo na dito sa magubat na lugar!” Christina said while she can't be contented.
“Bakit hindi mo ayayain si Anthony?!” jokingly responded by the young lady.
“Kung puwede E! kaso bawal alam mo naman na hiwalay ang site ng mga boys!"
"Hay nako Christina! Tulungan mo na lang kaya ako dito mag tayo ng tent ni Peter!"
"Sige tutulungan kita kung sasamahan mo ako matulog sa tent mamaya?!"
"Oo sige na nga! sasamahan na kita matulog sa tent mo!" Delia said.
"Yes!! pumayag ka rin! Okay! akin na ganito dapat mag-ayos ng tent!"
Delia and Christina have known each other since they were in elementary school and until they grew up, their friendships remained up to college years. They shared wonderful moments every time they met, and they occasionally had heart-to-heart conversations.
“Nga pala Kamusta na kayo ni Peter? Balita ko nagkatampuhan kayo nung isang araw!” she asked Delia.
"Ano kaba sa panahon ngayon lalaki na ang nagtatampo!" she said until the two ladies started to laughed.
Delia's boyfriend is Peter Thompson, a Filipino-German who's big and strong, and intelligent. His father was Filipino and his mother was German, and he lives in Paris, France before he came. Due to the lack of finances of their business his mother sent him to the Philippines to save extra income and attending to the University of Central Manila. Delia met him while they were both conferencing in their respective homes in Antipolo. And Anthony Lopez is Christina's boyfriend a pure Filipino tall, brown-colored his hobbies and interest was basketball game, his family was a business owner of a cafe shop near the University, and Anthony is also a University basketball player.
The men emerged from the jungle during their conversation.
“Oh my god!! Andito na pala sila! Kanina pa namin kayo hinihintay! Wow, naman! ano ang dala nyo?” Christina's eyes widened as she glanced at the two boys approaching.
Delia noticed that Peter had fruits when the two young men went straight to their girlfriends.
she asked her boyfriend "Peter bakit ka nagdala ng saging?”
“These bananas are for you ladies! Kinuha namin ito sa gubat kanina!” Anthony answered. “May pasalubong pa kayong nalalaman Anthony at Peter Ha!” mocking by Christina.
"I hope girls you liked!" Peter said.
"Ang dami naman at malalaki pa ito!" Christina said.
"Paniguradong kumuha kayo na walang paalam sa may-ari ng lupa no?!" as Delia speaks.
"No sweetheart! We just saw it hanging in the forest! No worries... it's safe guys!" Peter answered.
“Tama na nga ang kuwentuhan kainin na natin ito baka may humingi pang iba!” Anthony said. as the night goes by they had long stories, as did other students who were surrounded by bright fires, and they mixed their stories with fears and excitement.
Peter noticed his girlfriend looking above in the beautiful sky.
“Hey! Is everything alright? Why are you staring above?” he asked.
“Yeah! I’m fine! I just amazed to the stars above!" as she curled her upper lip.
"I liked too!"
"Teka!... Hmm... Dito kana muna may pupuntahan lang ako sa tent may kukuhain lang ako saglit!” she said to her boyfriend.
"Okay! I'll wait for you here!" said the young man.
Delia went into her tent on the edge of a tree to get Peter's gift, a watch. "I wish Peter liked it!" the young lady exclaimed. A few moments break Delia wondered why the entire camping area seemed to be quiet for a while, the pleasant laughter of students and tales of their conversations and sounds had vanished from her hearing, so she ventured out of the tent to check what was going on. When the young woman went out from her tent, her eyelids deepened and her lips fluttered, and she breathed slowly, as though horrified by what she had seen...
She stopped for brief moments.
"Ano to?......"
“Sandali? Ano ang lugar na ito!?” The entire place was gold and felt like a cave, asking the question to itself. Her face was paled and felt Goosebumps into her body. "Mga golds at diamonds ang mga ito ah!!"
"Guys?? Hello??!! This isn't funny!!" she realized the camping site has gone.
“Guys?? May tao ba dito?!!!!” she yelled it looking around the entire place.
"Peter?!!??.. Christina??.... Anthony?!!!..."
However, no one responds to at least one of them. Delia walked around the area, but she couldn't find the trail out of the cave, the young woman yelled again as she can. The young woman ran fast until the whole place shook, and as she ran away, and she heard a voice seemed to be recognized.
She doubted at first.
“Delia! Delia! Delia!.....” a whisper of a man coming the underground.
“Ang boses na iyo!! Kilala ko! parang si Papa? Papa!! Ikaw ba iyan? Papa!!!” she shouted back.
She followed the voice that came from the cave's end, and the entire place continued to shake until Delia fell, unable to stand due to the force of her fall. She attempted to stand but was unable to do so. A short time later, the entire structure was shattered, covering Delia's falling bigger rocks.
Delia (Screams)
“Delia!! Delia!! Delia!!.”
“Delia gising!” Delia opened her eyes quickly. she saw the blurry face of a woman.
"Delia?! gumising kana!!"
"Mama?!"
The young woman's face was like a rose from her lying position, sweating and flushed, unconscious of what happened.
“Pinuntahan kita dito sa kwarto mo dahil sumisigaw ka! Binangungot ka!” the mother was anxious about her.
“Salamat Mama! Panaginip lang pala! Akala ko kung ano na nangyayari E!"
“Kakabasa mo naman siguro ng horror tales yan!! Sige na! Tumayo kana diyan at may pasok kapa!” utos nito sa anak.
Her mother left the room, leaving the young woman standing anxious about her dream, she began having arranged her belongings and clothes to prepare for school.
FEBRUARY 24, 2015 present day.
The Lunas lived in San Miguel, Manila, for five years. They used to live in Antipolo province before they relocated in 2010. Delia was born in 1994 she has a younger brother named Artemis. Delia's mother was Carmen Luna, is a good mother to her children, and her father was Ricardo Luna, is a seafarer who tours waterways and assists with operations, maintenance, and army service. Unfortunately, their father did not return anymore after a long journey towards the sea when Delia was 14. Her mother became disgruntled with her father, this is the reason why they need to relocate to San Miguel, Manila.
The maiden takes a shower for 25 minutes.
“Delia! Bumaba kana dito!” her mother said twice.
“Opo pa baba na!!”
"Bilisan mo magtatanghali na late kana!!"
"Andito na!"
The young lady came down from her room and sat at the dining room table. “Nasaan po si Artemis??” she asked her mother.
“Kanina pa umalis madaling araw! Mayroon silang training para sa competition ng soccer sunod linggo” Carmen responded.
“E! Kayo Ma?! May pasok kayo sa trabaho?”
“Day off ko ngayon sa trabaho at mamaya pupunta ang Lola at tita mo dito mamayang tanghali!”
“Ganun ba?!” she murmured.
"Hmmm... May susundo ba sayo dito ngayong umaga?" her mother was asked.
"Oo si Peter! mga ilang minutes pa darating na iyon!" she said while she ate her meals. A Moment passed Delia has finished her meals until she heard a loudly horn of Peter's vehicle in front of their gate. The young lady peered through the window.
“Nandito nasi Peter! Aalis na ako Mama!” she quickly ran outside. “O sige mag-ingat kayo!!” she said to her daughter.
Delia started to leave their home and a young man waited for her at their gate with his car.
The young lady slowly opened the sliding door of their gate, she centered her gaze on the man's eye in front of her.
“Good morning! Miss beautiful!” said the man, Delia's face was blissful like a sunrise leered to the guy. A good-looking man standing at her house, his skin was white his hair was golden brown stared at the young lady, he wore a blacked jeans and dark coffee shirt with precious warm perfume.
“6:45 am palang masyado kang maaga?!”
“How’s your night?” he asked his girlfriend with a sweet smile. Delia kissed her boyfriend on the cheek.

“Maayos naman! Alam mo mamaya na tayo magkuwentuhan may pasok pa tayo!" sambit ng dalaga. The two got into the car, which Peter was driving a small car though it was a blue-collar gift from his father. When the car left their house, It took them roughly half an hour to reach the University. While Peter was driving, he noticed Delia was quiet and deep in thought.
“Hey! Are you okay? Something is bothering you??” tanong ng binata. “No! Nothing! I just remembered lang kasi yung project namin next week na news magazine!” Peter kept driving, but Delia contemplated what her dream meant.
Nine years ago the typhoon Reming struck the entire Luzon region, including Rizal's Antipolo area, in 2006. That night, the people were terrified by the constant dangers and torrential rains, they were experiencing with the Luna family. While hiding beneath their desks, the two siblings hugged.
“Delia?! Artemis?! Carmen shouted.
On the outside, the darkest is everywhere and almost airy atmosphere.
“Andito kami Mama sa ilalim!” sagot nito.
“Balutin mo si Artemis ng kumot para hindi malamigan” bilin nito. Delia took it and gave it to her brother right away. “Nasaan na si Papa?” Artemis asked.
“May kinukuha lamang ang inyong Papa sa itaas at mamaya’y baba na iyon!”
“Kailan kaya titigil itong hangin? Halos apat na oras na tayong ganito!” saad ni Delia.
“Wag kayong mag-alala dahil bukas siguradong-sigurado na aaliwalas na ang panahon bukas!” replied to her children.
“Ayos lang kayo? Nakahanap na ako ng mga kandila sa kabinet!”
“Nagulat naman ako Richardo! Hmmm... Kanina kapa namin hinihintay!” Carmen said it her face like anxious seeing a ghost in a movie. Richardo gave some candles that he found in the attic, and gave it to his wife, and used it in their corners to shed light on their night. Richardo hugged his children as his wife prepared for their dinner. “Wag kayo matakot nandito lang kami ng Mama nyo!” a whispered voice.
Throughout the lunatic atmosphere, only the voices of winds and rains could be heard. By the morning, a lot of damage was caused by typhoon Reming, sunken trees, and poles, and roofs appeared to be like scattered paper around in town caused by strong winds, while other pieces of equipment could no longer be used and profitable due to the floods.
After the winds and rain stopped, most people in town went to begin work and repair the damage. “Nakabili na ako ng tubig sa bayan mabuti at marami pang supply!” their father said.
“Salamat sa diyos nakauwi ka agad! Halos lahat ng tao dito nangangailangan ng tubig!" Carmen said.
“Mama? Papa? Nalinis at naayos na namin ang kwarto sa itaas!” Delia said while her shirt was sweating and her face looks unenergized.
“Basa ang ibang gamit! Nasira rin kaya ang bintana ng aking higaan!” pangamba ni Artemis.
“Marami pa tayong gagawin kaya kumain kayo ng marami dahil matrabaho ang araw na ito sa atin!” Richardo replied.
It took them five hours to repair the damage caused by typhoon Reming. While Delia was cleaning up, something that inspired her eyesight, when she caught sight of a bright necklace of a blue-green color that shone from the sun.
“Kaninong kwintas ito?!” asked to herself quietly.
“Papa kanino itong kwintas? ngayon ko lang kasi nakita to? Galing ba ito kay Mama?” she asked her father, who was also there in the room.
“Yan ba? Bigay yan sa akin ng iyong Lola! Tanda ko e sampung taong gulang palang ako nang mapasa akin iyang kwintas! sabi pa niya galing pato sa kanyang Lolo! Mabuti at nakita mo?!” Ricardo said.
“Ang layo pala nang pinanggalingan ng kwintas na ito!"
"Malayo talaga!" he said.
"Ang ganda ng kulay nito Pa! Tortoise green at kumikinang kapag nasisinagan ng liwanag ng araw!" Delia wondered while staring at the blue-green necklace.
“Alam mo E... mabuti pa’y ibigay ko na lamang yan sa iyo kaysa mawala pa ulit iyan!"
Her lips were curled up likes she was excited, “Talaga papa?! Salamat!!” the young woman felt joy.
"Akin na isusukat ko sayo!" Richardo took the necklace and wore it on his daughter, who was pleased at her face and smiling her heart as she felt pounding of love from her beloved father.
“Ang ganda pala Papa!” she said while keeping happy. They both shared their happiness at that moment, it appears to be an image clip of Delia's thoughts at the time, as she holds her Father's necklace on her way to school.
“Nasaan na kaya si Papa?” she stated this while looking out on the window's car.
