The donation drive started with Mr. Zhou as a main sponsor. He and his wife entered the church with Stella.
Stella and Silas became awkward with each other since that day. They still managed to meet but they can’t bring up the topic that placed them in that situation.
The two were currently preparing the posters that will be used in the program. Silas took the thing that Stella is doing. “I’ll finish these one. Meet me at the back after the program” he said and continued his task.
A flashback played in Silas’ mind. Two nights before the donation drive, he couldn’t help but to reconsider Stella’s confession for a million times. It bothers him and him ignoring the thing caused nothing. He slowed down in deciding; he weighed every consequence and advantage if he will pursue Stella’s confession.
Stella’s smirk turned into a bitter one. She removed her hand in Silas’ palm but Silas insisted to hold it a little longer.
“Silas if you’re just gonna break my heart, stop this once” she said; teary eyed because of Silas’
words.
Silas didn’t remove his sight from Stella’s eyes. He continued on what he was saying, “I know it
will be hard for the two of us but can you fight with me?” he asked.
Stella’s sadness turned into confusion, “What are you talking about?” she asked back.
Silas showed a smirk, “I like to pursue you. It’s quick but I feel like I’ve already known you. Do you feel the same?” he answered.
Stella has a lot of words yet she is speechless. She got up from the swing and hugged Silas.
“You
are my first. Make my time worthwhile, Silas” she said.
Silas hugged her back, “I’ll make every moment worth your time, Stella. Hands down now, someone might see us” he replied.
Stella immediately removed her hands clamped onto Silas.
The two can’t still believe that they are official now but the thing is, if things will work out for them, who will sacrifice? Is it Silas who already found himself serving for life or Stella who can’t be free because of her mother?
Later that night, the two are glued with their phones. They can’t even spare a blink for someone because of their new status. They started chatting with how things are going and the typical question of the fact if they already ate or not.
Sending goodnights, lovable emoticons, and sweet messages; the sweet start of a relationship. When they exchanged goodnights, Stella found herself setting Silas’ picture as her home screen wallpaper. She’s in love, so is Silas.
The two became closer than ever. Every month, a single day is spent for them to go outside and do what they want.
Stella held Silas’ hand while walking, “Where should we go now? Last month, we tried eating exotics, two months ago we went on a movie. How about this month?” he asked.
Silas thought and answered, “How about to an amusement park? I’ll win some games for you.
Don’t worry, my treat. I can’t let this gorgeous woman beside me pay the bills” . “Such a joker. Anyway, amusement park sounds good. Should we go now?” she asked. Silas nodded and rented a cab for them to reach the amusement park.
They haven’t entered the place yet but Stella’s phone is already full of pictures. She’s fond of Silas’ looks and she can stare at him all day!
They started playing the shooting game. “Spare me this one. I’m good in aiming guns you know” he said and charged up the toy gun.
“Make sure to impress me” Stella said.
In just a single shot, Silas got the biggest price. He faced her girl and asked, “Impressed now?” Stella nodded and went inside to pick her price. She chose a penguin body pillow that is about her height. “Sleep could be more comfortable with this one” she said and hugged the pillow tight.
“Wish I could be that pillow. You see I got the guts and the money to get that toy yet I receive nothing from my inspiration” he said, toning the words in a sad tone.
Stella pinched his nose, “Of course I want you more than this. How could you be so jealous over a toy?” she asked.
“Choose something to play then. Let’s fill the day with fun” Silas said and made his girl choose something.
“How about the Ferris wheel? Or the claw machine?” she suggested.
“Let’s go to the claw machine first. Ferris wheel is fun when the stars are already filling the sky”
he said.
Just like the normal claw machines, the one they played is also failing them. It ate all of their
tokens so they decided to proceed with Stella’s request – the Ferris wheel.
Silas bought the tickets and went inside. The wheel started to rise; Stella is currently looking
from above; her happiness is priceless. Silas stared at her with a smile showing from his face.
“Is it your first time riding a Ferris wheel?” he asked. Stella didn’t even glance at him.
She answered, “It is my first time and I am deeply in love with it”. Silas sat down beside her and wrapped his arms around her waist; his chin touching her shoulder.
“Thank you again for today, Silas. It’s been a while since I visited an amusement park” Stella said.
“I will go wherever you want to go. I’m glad you enjoyed” he said and the both of them enjoyed the view pairing the night sky.
