Chapter 7
His car is running a little far. He could still see in his memory Cleffy's sad face.  Suddenly he thought that he shouldn't have left, maybe Cleffy needed someone to talk. It may not be right for him to give up and just leave the woman he still want to be with together again. Then he turned the steering wheel to the right at a sudden. He quickly found a U- turn slot. And stepped with emphasis to increase more  the speed of his car. He arrived quickly. Exactly right the gate is still open. So he entered his car straight away.
'Why isn't it closed yet," he asked to himself.
He saw his ex-wife sitting alone on the other side of the house. There is a table and chairs near at the land scape part of the yard. It loves green leaves and flowering plants so it has plants that are cared for that give life to the landscape at home.
"Cleff, Why are you still here. You even left the gate open and it was dark here?"
His wife didn't answer as if no one had heard. Rigo sat down next to her ex-wife. He accompanied it as if meditating.
He did not know how to open a conversation. And he was hesitant to speak. Cleffy would get mad at him again.
"Why did you come back,” she asked calmly.
Finally Cleffy spoke again. His nervousness was removed by the calm tone of his ex-wife.
"I think you might need someone to talk to. That is why I'm here.
"Why do you cared for? For what?"
"You want us to talk with cans of beer," he asked.
He couldn't think of anything else to say. Fear prevailed that his answer to the question why do he cared for. And for what? He preferred to say something else not close to what was being asked to him. He knew that drinking alcohol also eased his ex-wife sentiments. So he told her to have a drink while they talked.
"Okay let's go! There's a convenience store on the corner." Cleffy suddenly stood up.
Good thing was it doesn't mind his answer. He was not questioned again. Instead it
agreed to drink alcohol. And smile seemed like feeling lighter.
"Okay," Rigo said with a smile too.
Cleffy has no stocks in her refrigerator. So they need to go to the corner less than five minutes walk away distance from their house.
"I'll go alone. Nobody is with Yanny. It's hard to left her alone this time nowadays." Rigo grabbed his ex-wife's arm and let her set down again.
"I'll just be in hurry," he quickly stand up and walked away.
'Rigo, it's your turn. Rigo, don't waste a moment. Rigo, wooh! me again' These are something came up to his mind.
He didn't know how to get closer again to Cleffy. Bed isn't enough a  way to have her. He think it isn't. But the heart of his ex-wife is the most one he is after to. What happened to them on bed the other day seemed like nothing to his ex-wife. So he felt there was nothing he could do to let her feel the thrill again. It was just few minutes he returned immediately, carrying cans of beer for them to drink. It was still dark in Cleffy's seat. Its seating position hasn't been changed. As soon as he landed on the beer in cans, it immediately picked up and drink it like a water.
"Oh! Cleff slowly, that's not water," he reminded her.
He is no longer listened to. It just keeps on simmering non -stop. Cleffy has been blabbering on for over an hour. Chattering accompanied by crying. Obviously she got drunk right away. There are many complaints about love. And it even slap his right shoulde every time she talked.
"Cleff, it's going to be early in the morning, we will get inside.  I will bring you to your room. That you got drunk so fast as if you're so thirsty in drinking alcohol. Seemed like you are angry with the beer.
"No not yet. Im not yet done. Listened to me talking. I'm not yet drunk. I still want to have some beer. You thought I was drunk but you were wrong. I still have a clear mind and I still want to drink," Cleffy replied.
After saying that, she stood up and picked up Rigo's car key that was lying on the table. She even wanted to go out and buy wine. Even she could no longer stand properly.
"Cleff  let's get inside. You won't go out to buy and neither I to buy more because you're already drunk. I never thought you would be this nasty when drunk. This is you're not as before. You seemed have changed."
"The person is changing. I guess you're the only one who didn't ... Because-- because.." his ex-wife stopped.
Cleffy laughed out loud. Laughter that is annoying to listen to. She want to speak out of their past marriage way back those times they were still married.
"Because what. You can continue what you want to say because I will listen. I won’t be angry but let me reason out. Please if possible." Rigo said calmly.
"You are the person who still hasn't changed because you still a playboy. You're not a marrying  type. You just want pleasure on bed," she frankly spoke.
It was like a bomb to Rigo's ears. But he promised not to get angry, so he hugged his ex-wife tightly and then explained.
"You are my first love. Apart from you, I will no longer love if I have been a woman next to you, that is because it is just necessary...and--and." Rigo stopped
He can't not fully explain love and needy. This would be contrary to the belief of the woman he still loved so much. So he still spared every word. He might got a mistake in talking.
And you mean using them like a thing. To be your partner on bed whenever you want. Is that it?"
"It's not like that. They are diffrent and you are different."
"And what is different Rigo? Tell me what? Cleffy started to get mad.
Because you are the only one I can take seriously and you are the only one I can love truly. Is it wrong to have another woman in my life that I don't love. I'm also not sure if they really loved me too. So it is just fair."
Cleffy think about what her ex-husband had said. She was annoyed but she was glad to hear it too.
"I'm going to sleep. It's already morning. When I hear such reasons like you've telling to me , that just makes me sleepy," she said.
But deep inside she was happy. She just don't want to reveal her feelings.
"Reasons all of you men are the same. I'd rather sleep."
"Okay good. Let's get inside."
"No. I can manage. I will get inside by myself. And don't touch," Cleffy said.
But even before she could speak much she fell down slowly. Fortunately, Rigo caught her quickly. Although he was also dizzy with intoxication. He picked up his ex-wife and carry on his arms getting inside the house. In Cleffy's room he directed. Carefully laid it on bed. He didn't think Yanny. He didn't think Yanny was awake either. It was behind him and watching what he was doing. Smiling at what she witnessed.
"Dad." Yanny wondered wanting to ask.
"Your mom was too drunk. And I will not stay long her. I just put her inside in her room. I'll go afterwards."
"It's okay dad. I'll be happy better to see you here in mommy's room every secon every minute and every hour of the day.
Yanny was hapy with what was happening. She sees more the hope that her parents will get back together.
