Cally's POV:
Despite the lack of sleep weighing heavily on Cally's eyelids, she forced myself to put on a brave face as she prepared for another day at the cafe. The exhaustion from staying up until the early hours of the morning talking to Jj clung to her, making every yawn a battle against weariness.
As she stepped into the cafe, Manelle's observant eyes caught her fatigue, and she couldn't help but ask about her sleepless night.
"Cally, girl, why do you look so tired? Did you not get enough sleep?" Manelle asked curiously.
Cally started to force a smile. "Oh, no worries, Manelle. I stayed up late last night watching movies. Just a little tired, that's all."
Cally hoped her lie would be enough to appease her curiosity. She didn't want to delve into the real reason behind her sleepless night, especially with the growing complexity of her connection with Jj.
Jj's POV
As Jj woke up to Trina's text, a pang of guilt struck him. He hurriedly typed a response, his fingers dancing across the screen as he tried to concoct a believable excuse for his silence. He lied, claiming exhaustion from his shift, and apologized for not keeping her informed.
Jj:"I'm so sorry, Trina. I was completely drained after my shift, and I must have fallen asleep without realizing it. I didn't mean to worry you."
With a sense of urgency, he rushed to get ready for the day, his mind grappling with the consequences of his actions and the web of lies he found himself entangled in. He needed to see Trina and make things right, to reassure her that everything was okay, even though deep down, he knew it wasn't.
Back to Cally's POV:
As Manelle noticed her fatigue, she couldn't help but question Jj's weariness as well. She had picked up on his yawns and sleep-deprived appearance.
Manelle started to teased Jj. "Hey, Jj, did you watch movies all night too? You look just as tired as Cally."
Jj, caught off guard, managed a half-hearted chuckle, hiding his own guilt and fatigue behind a mask of casual indifference.
Jj nonchalantly responded. "Nah, just a rough night. You know how it goes."
And so, they carried on with their work, the weariness and secrets weighing heavily upon them. Behind their smiles and laughter, the tangled threads of their complicated connections grew more entwined, setting the stage for the trials and tribulations that lay ahead.
Trina's POV:
As the morning progressed, Trina's worries about Jj's silence continued to gnaw at her. She couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that settled within, urging her to see him and find solace in his presence. Determined to confront the growing unease, she made up my mind to visit Star Cafe before heading to work.
Upon entering the cafe, she took a moment to scan the surroundings, searching for Jj amidst the familiar faces. Their eyes met, and she couldn't help but offer him a warm smile and a wave. His expression turned to one of surprise, as if he hadn't expected to see her at the Cafe. Perhaps he was still caught off guard by the incident from the previous night.
She made her way to the counter, where Cally stood, ready to take her order. She greeted Trina with a genuine smile, her eyes sparkling with warmth and kindness.
Cally greeted Trina. "Good morning Ma'am! What can I get for you today?"
Trina returned the smile. "Just a coffee, please. A cappuccino with a dash of cinnamon."
As Cally prepared her drink, she couldn't help but steal glances at her. There was an undeniable beauty about her, both inside and out. Her presence captivated Trina, stirring a strange mix of admiration and curiosity within her heart. Yet, beneath my admiration, a flicker of worry danced, as if sensing that there was more to her than met the eye.
After receiving her coffee, she found a quiet spot to sit and savor the rich aroma, her thoughts lingering on the enigmatic connection she felt towards Cally. The worries and uncertainties swirled within her. leading me to make a spontaneous decision.
With determination, she approached Jj, who seemed taken aback by my request.
Trina earnestly asked Jj "Jj, can we talk after work? I'd like to spend some time with you. Maybe I can stay at your apartment tonight?"
Jj's eyes widened in surprise, perhaps sensing the urgency in my voice. He hesitated for a moment before finally nodding in agreement.
"Alright, Trina. We'll talk after work. You can stay at my place tonight."
With a mix of anticipation and trepidation, she finished her coffee and prepared herself for the day ahead. 
Cally's POV:
As Jj leaned closer and whispered to Cally, a mix of surprise and confusion washed over her. His request not to text him later when he was with Trina struck her as odd, but without fully understanding the situation, she nodded in agreement, her mind racing with questions.
Jj whispering to Cally."Hey, Cally, don't text me later, okay? I'll text you first when I'm not with Trina."
Cally got confused but still agrees. "Uh, sure, Jj. No problem."
However, their brief exchange did not go unnoticed. Manelle, ever observant, caught sight of their hushed conversation and couldn't resist her curiosity.
"Cally, what did Jj whisper to you just now? Is he up to his teasing jokes again?" Manelle pinch Cally and asked her. 
Caught off guard, she quickly thought on my feet, not wanting to reveal the true nature of Jj's whispered request.
"Oh, you know Jj, always trying to throw in some jokes. He's just being his usual playful self, nothing serious." Cally lied while smiling mischievously. 
Manelle seemed satisfied with her response, but a flicker of doubt lingered in her eyes. Cally knew she had to tread carefully, as the web of secrets continued to grow, threatening to entangle us all.
As the day progressed, she carried on with her work, her mind preoccupied with the complexities of her connection with Jj and the hidden dynamics that existed between them. The weight of their secret interactions tugged at my conscience, yet she couldn't deny the growing feelings within her. 
Little did she know that the decisions they made and the secrets they kept would soon bring about a series of revelations, testing the bonds they thought they understood and leading us down a path where the truth could no longer be hidden
Jj's POV:
As their shift at Star Cafe came to an end, Jj bid farewell to my co-workers, exchanging light-hearted goodbyes and well wishes for the evening. His thoughts, however, were consumed by the upcoming meeting with Trina and the weight of the secret interactions with Cally.
He made his way to the agreed-upon spot to pick up Trina, feeling a mix of anticipation and guilt. The car ride to his apartment was filled with comfortable silence, as they both navigated their own thoughts and emotions. Once inside, they let the warmth of familiarity envelop them, seeking solace and connection amidst the chaos of their tangled relationships.
Cally's POV
As the workday came to a close, Caplly waved goodbye to my co-workers, exchanging small talk and pleasantries before heading home. Among the farewells, her eyes lingered on Manelle. She approached her, and waved goodbye to her. 
"Goodbye, Manelle. Have a great night. Take care on your way home."
Manelle waved goodbye. "Take care, Cally. I hope you can easily find a cab so you can go home early."
With a grateful smile, she bid her farewell and made my way back to the solitude of Call's own apartment. The weight of the day settled upon her, and as she lay in bed, thoughts of Jj and Trina stirred within her, an unwelcome guest in her mind.
Jealousy washed over her like an unwelcome wave, fueling a longing for a connection that seemed just out of reach. The complexity of their relationship and the secrecy that surrounded it left me with a bitter taste of envy, yearning for something that I could not fully grasp.
Lost in a sea of conflicting emotions, sleep eventually claimed Cally, carrying her away into a world where dreams and reality intertwined, blurring the lines between desire and reality, and leaving her to grapple with the tangled web of her heart.
