Rue has already dealt with the first situation. She has also discovered that her husband cheated on her with her best friend after 8 years of marriage. As a result, the age difference between their first two children is enormous compared to their first two.
But the mystery remains on her mind, that the person had no heart illness but died in the middle of the night because of a heart attack.
Rue pulled her phone from her pocket and phoned Althea's phone number. The phone does rings, but no one answers.
"Perhaps she's occupied right now." She thought to herself as she drove her car.
It's past 12 in the afternoon already, yet she has no appetite today for eating human food and she's currently standing in front of the second case's residence, ringing the doorbell.
A woman still dressed in her house clothes opens the door in a flash.
"What can I do for you?" The woman asked. Despite of her attire, Rue seen her attractive, she exudes a natural beauty.
"My name is Rue Williams, and I'm here for the accident that happened two weeks ago." Rue showed her id to the woman, who examined it over.
Rue saw that the room was half empty with parcels as soon as they entered the house.
"I'm already moving, I don't want to suffocate myself here with memories." The lady said bitterly, while she's glancing at the boxes.
Rue just nodded in response, her gaze darting around the room.
"Can you show me where the bedroom is?" Rue asked the lady.
"We have two rooms for beds, one is the guest room, and this one is our bedroom," The woman said as she turned the doorknob of the room.
As they entered the room, she smelled a whiff of blood. It was not a strong smell of fresh blood, but she is certain that there is a scent of blood in the room.
She wandered around the room, searching every tiny detail. It has a bed, an empty closet, and a table with a chair, it's already empty and there's no evidence of blood.
Then she looked up at the ceiling, searching for anything that could tie the rope to. But there's none, except for the fan that hangs from the ceiling, which is fairly high from the bed.
"When was your last cleaning here?" Rue suddenly asks without looking at her.
"Before I went to my parent's house" The woman replied casually.
"Is the ceiling fan securely attached?" Rue added as she met the woman's gaze on the woman's side.
"I think so. I'm cleaning it with feather dust." She responded firmly without thinking for second thought.
She pictured a man hanging over the bed, with a rope tied around his neck from the hanging fan. And it just seems to be a typical suicide attempt.
'Oh. There's a trace.' She smirked as she saw the bed's leg has been out of alignment.
Rue exits the room, and the woman trails behind her. She sits with her on the sofa, her gaze fixes on her.
"So, you were you at your parent's house during the accident?" She questioned, regardless of the fact that Althea had already told her, she just wanted to hear it from her.
"Yes." The woman simply replies to her question while looking directly at her eyes.
Rue don't find any loophole as she is reading her mind.
"What was your purpose for going there?" Rue inquires further.
"That day we had a quarrel." She says almost whispering, her face lowering to the ground.
Rue didn't reply and remained observing her.
"I recently caught him with another woman a few days ago. I was so angry at him for what he did to me." The woman continued.
Rue was taken aback when she heard the familiar words. It was the same in the first situation.
"Almost every day after that, we started arguing." The woman added,
Rue remains silent in order for the lady to explain further, keeping the fact that they had argued, and she has an anger issue with him.
"We started as a happy couple, but as the years passed by, it becomes a toxic one. I chose to stay and fight for our relationship. Even at the times that he made me feel like he would just throw our relationship because of the problem." She added as the tone of her voice weakens.
"And I am wondering what his reasons are, why he cheated on me despite the fact that we've been together for years. I was thinking if I'm not enough and worth it. Why do I have to deserve this?" She stated hopelessly and feeling betrayed.
"Then I decided to leave, I badly want to have a peace of mind, but he does not allow me to go anywhere. He is being toxic. That's why I talked to my parents to request me there." She says and there's an anger that can be heard on her voice.
'That makes sense.' Rue said inside her mind after hearing those words. She also tried to read her thoughts in order to verify whether or not she was lying. And, fortunately, she's telling it like it is.
"Are you still mad at him?" Rue asks, wanting to be sure of what she feels, she suddenly felt sorry for her lose and betrayal.
"No, I simply wish I should have talked to him, that I had forgiven him and given him another chance. If I did, he would have not considered suicide in the first place." Her voice is weakening as she expresses her regrets and anguish.
"It must be so hard for you to accept the accident but do not blame yourself. It's not your fault." Rue said sympathizing her, considering that she must be in a difficult situation.
"I also want to believe that it's not my fault, but my mind is saying the opposite. And I'm trying." The lady said in despair.
"Take your time and help yourself to heal, you know yourself well." Rue advised to her because she knows that it is the only way to help her and make her somehow better.
"Thank you. That's why I need to get out of here. Although this house if full of the memories of us." The woman said as she forces a smile on her face.
"That's a good start, you need a new place to fix your heart." Rue agreed to what she have said.
"It will take a time for the process but believe me, you will get through this." She added, trying to console her.
For the years she is living in the mortal world, she observed human hearts are fragile like a glass and anyone can break it, they just have to choose someone who will treasure and not break it.
