Tuesday arrived, sinaksak na ni Aldo ang usb sa speaker ng court. It is the first time para marinig namin ang buong kanta na gagamitin namin. Habang paulit ulit namin itong pinapakinggan, inaalala namin mga steps kahapon.
It’s already Wednesday at parehas ng buo ang kanta at sayaw. We’re using this day to memorize all the dance steps and the timing for the formation to change.
Now, it is Thursday. We all memorized the choreography and tried to synchronize it. Sounds easy but it is very hard, lalo na’t madami kami.
Finally, Friday arrived. Blocking na lang pina practice namin at onting kulitan. Although we are all having fun, hindi pa ganun ka-okay si Claud and Ely. Hindi ko nga malaman bakit parehas nilang ayaw makipag usap.
Blanca told us that we need to attend the ceremony on monday with casual attire. Monday pa lang daw kasi madedeliver ang jersey and outfit namin. Sabi ko naman na pwede naming suotin or dalhin ang mga white tops namin.
“Aiby! Bilian mo naman lumakad.” Hila hila ni Blanca ang laylayan ng damit ko. Naalala ko na monday na nga pala ngayon.
Tumingin ako sa paligid and I saw students wearing rubber shoes and casual attire. There’s also speakers around and staff. You can already feel the vibes of the sportsfest.
“Alright alright.” Tamad kong sabi sa kanya at binilisan ang lakad. We will all meet in our classroom dahil andon ang mga uniform.
While wondering kung ano magiging itsura ko, the door for our classroom is already in front of me. Blanca opened the door at nakita ko na ang iilan kong kaklase.
My eyes landed on Keith smiling while talking to Ayer. he’s casually sitting on top of the table while wearing our class outfit. It's a white shirt, baseball jacket and a black pants partnered with white sneakers.
“Oh hindi kayo mag ru-rubber shoes?” Blanca asked them kaya napatingin sila samin.
Ayer rolled his eyes. “Seryoso, Blanca? Ceremony tapos rubber shoes?”
Tumawa lang kami ng mahina at may biglang yumakap sakin kaya napatingin ako.
“Good morning!” Iris greeted me at inalis ang yakap sakin.
I smiled. “I want to sleep.” I said mimicking her voice. She only laughs.
I looked at her. She’s wearing a white shirt and she tucked it in sa skirt habang nakapatong naman ang baseball jacket.
“Cute mo.” I told her.
She giggled and snaked her arms with mine. “I know! Kanina pa kita hinihintay, gusto ko makita yung iyo.”
Natawa na lang ako sa kanya and I followed Blanca to the comfort room. Kinuha niya parehas ang damit namin kaya sabay kaming nag bihis.
I went back to our room in the same outfit as the girls. Kumpleto na kami kaya nakapag decide kami na pumunta na lahat sa hall.
The ceremony went on and it’s only for formalities and the announcement of rules and regulations. Sinabi na rin kung sino ang makakatapat namin kada sport.
When the ceremony ended, I saw the students whispering to each other while looking at us. I was already expecting that dahil kami lang ang naiiba ang suot sa kanila.
“Hahaha, naiinggit daw sila sa outfit natin.” Tawa ni Rave sa tabi ko habang tinitignan ang mga nakatingin samin.
It’s actually easy to tell because they are all looking at us with their envious eyes. Nakasuot sila ng jersey and shorts habang ang iba ay naka attire na parang pang tennis.
Siniko ako ni Rave. “We look cute and hot at the same time.” She smirked like she won the fashion contest in school.
Lunch break namin ngayon and we are all inside our classroom opening the box for our jersey. I lifted mine and I saw the number 7 on my shirt. Our jerseys are colored yellow and white. It is also partnered with shorts.
“Susuotin niyo na ba? Ayer asked us habang hawak pa niya ang jersey niya.
“Patong mo dyan sa jacket mo, tol.” Sagot sa kanya ni Claud kaya tumawa kaming lahat.
Lumapit naman si Ivo sa kanilang dalawa. “Oo para fashionista.” at nag chef kiss.
Hinampas naman silang dalawa ni Ayer ng pinaglagyan na karton. “Gaganda niyo kausap!”
I poked Blanca. “Samahan mo ko sa cr please?” I want to pee.
“Okay.” She agreed at kinuha ang purse sa bag niya.
Palabas na kami ng room when we heard Ayer’s voice.”San kayo?” Tanong niya at lumapit samin.
Blanca rolled her eyes. “Sama ka?
Ayer nodded.
“Tara, sa girl’s room.” Aya sa kanya palabas ni Blanca.
Nawala ngiti ni Ayer sa mukha. Marahan siyang tinulak ni Ely. “Don’t be shy, sama ka na sa cr Ayer.” Asar niya.
Natawa na naman ako dahil sa kanila at todo pagpipigil ko para hindi maihi. I held Blanca’s sleeves and pulled her until we arrived at the comfort room.
I finished my business and Blanca’s leaning on the wall waiting for me. I shocked my hand to dry at lalabas na sana but we heard someone’s voice.
Sumilip kami sa labas nang makita ang isang babae na naka lean sa wall with her hands crossed habang si Earl ay nakatayo sa sa harap niya.
“Earl Rossi.” The girl called him in a flirty tone. She traced Earl’s jawline with her fingers. “You keep ignoring my calls.”
Earl stepped backwards. “Sorry, I’m just busy.” He smiled.
“Really? I heard you have a new toy. Who is it?” The girl looked at him with furious eyes. Tumigil rin siya sa paghaplos ng mukha ni Earl.
Earl chuckled. “Fake news.”
“Fake news?” She scoffed. “I heard that her name is Rave, right?” Tinignan siya ng matalim na tingin ni Earl.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” She asked Earl. “Stop playing with her. Just call me if you need a playmate.” Nag martsa palayo ang babae.
Natawa na naman ako dahil sa kanila at todo pagpipigil ko para hindi maihi. I held Blanca’s sleeves and pulled her until we arrived at the comfort room.
