CHAPTER 2

Today is the 16th birthday, her family took her out to celebrate at a fancy restaurant in town. The night was perfect, and Eva felt like she was on top of the world. As they headed back home, Eva noticed a strange figure lurking in the shadows.
Eva was excited to open her presents and have cake, but she didn't expect what would happen that night.
As soon as they arrived home, Eva's parents told her to go to bed early because they had to go out for a while. Eva protested, but her parents were insistent. "It's your birthday, you can stay up a little later," she complained. "We have something important to do, just call us if you need us," her mother replied.
Eva went to her room and lay in bed, trying to stay awake. But before she knew it, she had fallen asleep. She was awakened by a strange noise outside her window. She got out of bed and went to the window to investigate. As she looked out, she saw a dark figure moving in the shadows.
Suddenly, the figure leaped up to her window and she screamed. Eva stumbled back and fell to the floor. The figure dropped down onto her bed, revealing itself to be a tall, handsome man with fangs. Eva screamed again, thinking she was dreaming.
Her mother and father entered the room as they panicked
Suddenly, the figure emerged from the darkness and lunged towards Eva's mother. In a flash, Eva's father jumped in front of her mother.
Eva's father was pinned to the wall, his neck exposed, while the vampire leaned in to bite him. Eva's mother was standing by the door, her face twisted in terror.
"Please, don't hurt him," she pleaded.
Eva's mother screamed as she watched her husband fall to the ground.
The vampire ignored her and continued to drink from Eva's father's neck. Eva felt her heart race as she watched the scene unfold. She knew she had to do something, but she was frozen with fear.
Just then, her mother turned and saw her. "Eva, run!" she shouted.
Eva didn't need to be told twice. She turned and ran up the stairs, her heart pounding in her chest. She had no idea what was happening or why, but she knew she needed to get out of the house.
She reached her room and closed the door behind her, panting for breath. She could hear footsteps on the stairs, and she knew the vampire was coming for her. She looked around frantically for something to defend herself with, but there was nothing in the room except her book.
As she clutched the book to her chest, the door burst open, and the vampire stepped into the room. He was even more terrifying up close, with his pale skin and glowing red eyes.
"Who are you?" Eva asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
The vampire smiled, revealing his sharp fangs. "I am Gabriel," he said.
"Please, don't hurt me," she whispered.
Gabriel laughed. "Why would I? You're such a little brat. I don't want your blood."
"Why did you killed them?" Eva asked while trembling in her voice
"I don't have an option, but when we meet I would explain all to you. Today you wouldn't understand but you will, at the right time Eva... at the right time" Gabriel said as he disappeared in front of her.
Eva had always known that vampires were real. She'd grown up listening to her parents' stories about the creatures of the night, about how they hunted for blood and how they could disappear into thin air.
Even though she couldn't first believe in her mother's stories. But she'd never believed that she would come face to face with one.
That all changed this night that her parents were killed. Eva was just 15 years old when she watched in horror as a vampire appeared out of nowhere, sinking its fangs into her parents' necks and draining them of their lifeblood. She had never felt so helpless in her entire life. But the worst part was when the vampire turned to look at her and then disappeared into thin air, leaving her alone and traumatized.
"I wish that this is just all a dream, leaving a happy family. Laughing and playing around."
For years, Eva couldn't shake the memory of that night. She became obsessed with vampires, reading every book she could get her hands on and researching their habits and weaknesses. She knew that one day, she would find the vampire that had killed her parents and make him pay for what he had done.
Years passed, and Eva grew into a strong and determined woman. She had never forgotten her quest for vengeance, and she spent every waking moment searching for the vampire that had destroyed her family.
