Chapter 6

Keiran faced a difficult challenge when he realized he was developing feelings for Connor, but he knew that denying his emotions would only lead to confusion and pain.
After careful consideration, he decided to come clean and confess his love to Connor directly.
Though Connor was taken aback by the revelation, Keiran was sincere in his feelings and hoped that Connor would understand him.
Unfortunately, Connor's response was not what Keiran had hoped for. The rejection was a deep blow, leaving Keiran feeling hurt and rejected. Despite the painful outcome, Keiran knew that he had to be true to himself and his emotions and that he could not continue to live a lie.
“Just go away and I don't want to see you anymore, you're free to fantasize about me but never see me again” the line lingered still. Words from Connor forced him to leave the city. And that was one of the reasons why he boarded the bus to his uncle's town. He was loaded with pain and confusion.
He flees from the urban landscape and the melancholic tale he left behind, yet it is indelibly etched into the recesses of his overwrought mind.
He sprints away from his past, resolute in his determination not to look back, lest he be forced to confront the ignominy and agony that he seeks to evade.
The echoes of his bygone days reverberate through his being, causing Keiran to grasp his ears in a futile attempt to silence the deafening noise of his inner turmoil.
As he grapples with the weight of his betrayal, he is consumed by a maelstrom of emotions, a tempest of doubt and self-doubt that threatens to shatter his already fragile trust and confidence in himself.
With each passing moment, his throat constricts, and his chest heaves, as a sharp pain punctures his core, leaving him shaken and gasping for air.
He hadn't taken his eyes off outside the bus, and along with a few drops of rain, his eyes were also dripping beads of tears. He couldn't imagine a sh*t thing that saps his confidence and strength.
He yearns for a temporary respite from the urban frenzy, seeking solace amidst the verdant haven of Ark Ville, where he can revel in the splendor of the pine trees, frolic in the crystalline river, and dance amid the snowflakes.
He yearns to mend his broken spirit, escape the cacophony of city life, and embrace the simplicity and tranquility of the countryside.
Perhaps, in the embrace of nature, he may find a sense of understanding, for nature is a nonjudgmental entity, suffused with empathy and compassion, offering solace in its serene and picturesque landscapes.
He harbors a hope that, someday, he will emerge from the depths of his despondency, his heart once again as smooth as ice, gliding effortlessly through life's tribulations. But he promises himself that he will never make a fool of himself again and he will also forget Connor and their friendship.
Keiran gazed out of the window as the bus meandered down the road, the verdant hill looming ahead. Towering trees lined the road, casting a cool shade on the passengers. Suddenly, his eyes widened as he caught sight of a massive creature. It was a wolf, and it was huge.
A shiver ran down Keiran's spine as he wondered if it could be a werewolf - he had heard stories about them from his mother. As he peered out the window again, there was nothing to be seen, but the eerie howl of a wolf echoed through the air, causing everyone on the bus to tense up.
As he turned to look out of the window again, he saw a majestic white wolf in the distance, staring right back at him. Keiran was mesmerized by its beauty and longed to get a closer look. However, the speed of the bus made it impossible to keep the creature in sight, and it quickly disappeared from view.
Despite this, Keiran was certain that what he saw was, in fact, a wolf. This realization led him to ponder whether the legend of werewolves might be true.
After a few minutes had passed the bus stopped and he got off the bus. He did not budge even when the bus left. He was still thinking about what he was seeing, was he wondering if it was real, or was he just hallucinating?
His next problem is how to locate the location of his uncle Fergus. His cell phone died a few hours ago, it was late at night and how could he find his uncle's house now? He felt strange or as if eyes were staring at him but he kept bracing himself. He took a deep breath and turned to meet a man. An old man.
"How's the travel?" That's the first question that the old man asked him. Keiran doesn't recognize the old man because his face wasn't clear because of the night and a light mist. But later he introduced himself as Uncle Fergus Keiran ran to him and embraced his uncle. "You're grown-up man Keiran," Fergus added in a surprised tone.
"Finally, I'm here in your place."
"Well, I know you're tired Keiran, C'mon," he said and led the way Keiran followed the old man. Keiran was shocked when he suddenly stopped. Mr. Fergus's hands were on his waist and stood there like a señorito and Keiran asked him why.
"Did you hear what I heard?" He asked Keiran.
"A howl?" Because that's what he heard.
"Exactly,"
"Ah, a while ago uncle, actually when I was still inside the bus we could hear the howls of wolves. You can't believe it, I saw a wolf." Keiran announced happily. "It was huge and giant."
"You?" Fergus Suddenly grabbed Keiran in his hand, gripping it tightly. Without a word, he pulled him away. His warm palms express concern and worry. He did not know why. But his uncle looked scared especially when his eyes roamed everywhere.
Keiran shook his head, his heart still racing from the excitement of the day. As he turned his back. His eyes were drawn to a magnificent creature standing in the distance. It was a wolf, but not just any wolf - this one had piercing green eyes that seemed to look right into Keiran's soul.
His breath caught in his throat as he gazed into the wolf's eyes, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Keiran felt a strange connection with the animal as if they were communicating telepathically.
But just as quickly as it appeared, the wolf vanished into thin air, leaving Keiran feeling a sense of loss. He couldn't help but wonder if he would ever see the mysterious creature again, and if so, what secrets it might hold.
