"We have to know in sorting out the true receptionist." Lillian told her. "That is something I can not answer." Mrs Taylor said. "And why is that?" Lillian asked her. "That is enough Lillian." The man in suit said in a loud, husky voice. Lillian always had a way with her doings, controlling the other judges to do her biddings. He looked at Mrs Taylor and noticed how calm she was. "Mrs. Taylor?" He called. "Yes, sir." She replied, turning to look at him. "You can leave now, that will be all. We shall get in contact with you in the future." He told her. Lillian rolled her eyes in astonishment then stared back at Mrs Taylor who was leaving the room. "Lillian, just because I gave you the free will to select an authentic candidate for the vacant position doesn't mean you should be demeaning as well as degrading people the way you like it." The man in suit said to her. Lillian was calm as she listened to him talk. Then watched him as he called out for the next candidate to come in. ****** Mrs Taylor stared into space as she recalled what had transpired at Elton's company. She still couldn't believe that she still had the zeal to work in a company after what she had been through many years back. She had thrown all these away, the joy of working in a company when her husband had died and his company had shut down in the following year after his death. It was quite a tale. She sighed as her thoughts shifted towards the man dressed in black suit. God, he was like Zeus himself but he was dressed unlike the Greek god. Why was he working in Elton's company? Oh, he must be the boss that they were talking about. She smiled to herself wrapping herself with both of her hands. She didn't know if she might get the job. She only knew that she needed a better pay to get her kids back to school. "Mum, aren't you eating?" Melina asked her mother. She had been watching their mother while they ate at the dinning table. "No. I think I have lost my appetite." Mrs Taylor placed a cover over her plate of boiled yam. Then, she started towards her room. "Mum, should I eat up your food!" Melissa shouted behind her. "Shut up, Melissa, mum haven't eaten since morning." Melina cautioned from the other side of the table. But their mum replied with a wave. Melissa smiled at her twin, twitching one of her brows to go higher than the other. "I believe that is a yes." She pulled their mother's covered dish to herself. While Melina watched her twin devouring their mother's food, she had no choice than to pick up her spoon to join her sister, afterall she was still hungry too. ***** "So, you want to go in?" Melina eyed her twin. "Yes. I have to. It is some kind of project. Will you help me with it?" Melissa asked. "You have to have a permit to see the manager." Melina explained. "That I know but I want to give it a go." Melissa deduced. They were both standing outside Elton's beverages company, they contemplated of entering because of an assignment which was given to Melissa and the rest of her classmates. The twins were both in entirely different classes. "I am going in." Melissa announced to her sis. Melina grabbed and gripped her twin's arm in fear. Her eyes widened. "Don't." She said. "Common Melina, let Is give it a try." Her sis urged. Reluctantly, Melina loosened the grip on her sister's arm, then they both entered the building. At the entrance of the building, they met a petite, pretty receptionist who sat typying away on her laptop. "What can I do for you?" The receptionist's eyes scanned them thoroughly before returning to her work. "Em....we will like to see the manager of this company." Melissa smiled, glancing at her sister at each interval. "I'm sorry, do you have an appointment with him?" She questioned them, pausing midway. "No, you see....we...," Melissa began to shutter. "We are on an assignment and we need to see the manager." Melina put in fluently. "I believe whatever question you have can be googled out. I'm sure Google wouldn't disappoint you or you do return with your class teacher in your school so that you can be given permission." The lady rambled on. "Please, we can't go back now." Melissa begged with pleading eyes. "I'm so sorry. You need to leave. How come you both were allowed through the gates by the security guard?" She was on her feet already, coming out from where she sat. "Please, let this slide, just this once." Tears swam at the corner of Melissa's eyes. Melina was utterly disgusted by the sight. She had a wean frown in her face. She grabbed her sister's hand and pulled her into a race with her. While the receptionist kept screaming for the security guard to bundle them out of the company. As they both got to the nearest elevator, they tapped the 5th button which will take them to the fifth floor. They had come for something and they must act on it as well as get it.
