Since I spent almost the whole night watching Grey anatomy, I am sure you can guess I woke up late. I heard my phone ringing from my sleep, who can be calling by this time in the morning.
I picked up my phone from the table next to my bed with my duvet covering my face. I sighed as I removed the cover and checked the screen.
Mr Angry pants.
Why is he calling early in the morning? He never calls?
I groaned as I picked up the call. "Where the fuck are you!" His voice boomed through my phone speaker.
With wide eyes, I stood up from my bed, well almost, until my sheets got caught up with my leg, sending me face flat on the ground.
What is he talking about?? It is still seven am. I stuttered stupidly on the phone until I checked the time on my phone screen. Eight fourty five and the meeting was in fifteen minutes.
Oh shit!
"You have ten minutes." He said and hung up.
I stood up from the floor and ran into my bathroom. I was out in two minutes. Do not question me! I Opened my wardrobe and just grabbed any cloth I found suitable at that moment.
I brushed my hair, dried it and then styled it. Even with the way time was going I made sure I laid my edges. My hair is the best thing I loved in my body and I'm going to take care of it.
I put on my shoes, definitely not heels. They made me uncomfortable so I wear flats instead. I checked the time on the wall clock and saw I had two more minutes.
Shit!
I carried my black bag from the chair I threw it on yesterday night and dashed out of the house but not before making sure my door was locked perfectly.
We do not want anybody breaking in, well, not like I had much, but still.
So, I arrived at work about thirty minutes later. Do not blame me, I had to wait ten minutes for a cab to come get me. Plus it started raining after I left my house.
I am presently standing in front of my boss doing a staring contest. Well, that is what it looks like to me. Cause I am standing at the front of his table and he is seated on his black leather swirly chair staring at me, as he played with a pen in his hand.
"Sir I-" I tried explaining what happened but he cut me off with a raise of his hand.
Actually I did not have any explaining to do. What was I going to tell him? That I watched Grey's anatomy series and slept off on my couch, then woke up late again.
That is right, I slept on my couch. How the hell did I get to my bed.
Is that what you should be thinking about? My subconscious hit my head.
"What is my schedule for today?"
I cleared my throat as I opened my book to check what was scheduled for today.
"Your sister called last week and told me to remind you today, that you have a family dinner to attend next week Friday."
"Ok?" He dropped the pen and then sighed.
"There's a meeting with one of the rival companies, I don't know what they want." I shrugged
"You have another meeting with your dad in the next twenty five minutes."
He groaned aloud as he ran his hand through his hair. "Please get me a cup of coffee. With no sugar."
Himself and his dad always argue together according to what I heard.
"And I will deal with you later." I heard him say before I left.
