THIRD PERSON POV
The loud piercing cry enveloped the whole area as the man groaned painfully when the lash hit his back violently.
The slamming sound coming from the lash and the body of the man kneeling is the only thing you'll be able to hear, in that cold, dark and silent room.
The man kneeling groaned in pain as he try to opened his heavy eyes, and tried to look at the person sitting in front of him like an Emperor of a powerful empire.
The man couldn't even shed a tear as the pain from being lashed overwhelmed is entire existence.
His body is numb and all he can feel his fear from his life.
'How did I get into this situation?'
The man question himself as his body is trembling so hard.
'Ah, right. I betrayed this man.'
The man sitting in front of him picked up a glass of wine on sipped of it while looking coldly at the person in front of him.
His cold, emotionless red eyes are looking at the kneeling person.
The man who was kneeling trembled to death as his gaze met the man's gaze. It's like you're gazing at the abyss. The man gulped and tried to open his mouth.
"P-please s-spare my l-life my l-lord." He let out a painful groaned as another lash hit his bleeding back.
The man feel like he's about to die. His head is spinning, his back is bleeding so bad and his left foot is being poisoned.
Any minute from now, he's sure that he'll be dead but he's still hoping to live.
"How dare you say that after you betrayed our lord!" A man who was responsible for lashing the man kneeling shouted and lashed him again.
The man groaned painfully as the man lashed him so bad that he feels like he's about to lose conciousnes.
The man was about to lashed the betrayer again but the man who's sitting in the front stop him.
He immediately followed the man's order and take a step back.
The man who's been busy drinking wine while looking at the person being lashed stood up and move closer to the dying man.
"Hey." The man said coldly and dangerously that even the person who's just quitely watching from the back felt shivers.
The poor man can't even lift his head as pain is the only thing he felt.
The man watching from the sidelines tsk when the man lying didn't even followed the lord's command.
He was about to lashed again the poor man but he was stopped when his lord gaze at him.
He felt his body stiffened and trembled. He thinks like if 'I even just take a step, I'm sure I'm going to get killed.' He gulped
The lord kneeled his one knee and roughly put his hand on the man's chin. He aggressively move the man's head upward so they can make eye contact.
The poor man gulped as the only thing he can see infront of him is a demon who's ready to kill him any minute from now.
"P-pleas– cough!" The man cough violently and the blood that was coming from his mouth fly towards the lord's cheek.
His body trembled more and his eyes begun to shake rapidly as he looked at the person in front of him in fear.
He tried to open his mouth but words won't come out from it.
The lord wipe his cheek using his hand and looked at the blood from his hand. The lord then looked at the man kneeling in front of him and smiled.
Everyone in the room trembled as they can feel the killing intent of their lord.
The poor man almost lost his conciousnes not due to the pain he's feeling or being lashed, but due to the man's killing intent that is overwhelming him.
His smile is like those devil's smile he saw on movies.
"What should I do with you? You betrayed our organization and you almost put me in a difficult situation." The lord said like he's asking him.
His tone was normal but you feel his dangerous aura and killing intent. His eyes were cold while saying those words.
"P-please I h-have family.." The poor man uttered painfully.
The lord stared at the man in front of him blankly. He got up from kneeling and go back to his seat.
"Family?" The lord asked. The poor man nodded his head repeatedly at the lord's question.
"Then.." The man smiled and raised his 3 fingers. The poor man stopped from breathing and trembled as he realized what that sign mean.
"You asked me to forgive you right? Since I can't do that, I'll just do you a favor." The man crossed his legs and looked at the man kneeling with a smile .
In the organization he was belong two. There were signs. Those signs represents what punishment should be given to the traitors.
One finger up means, one of your body part will be cut. Two means, your body will be cut into half. Three means your lower body, upper body and your neck.
And the four and five fingers up were a secret and only those in high position will be able to know.
After cutting the traitors, their bodies would be put in a box like a gift and will be sent into their families as a present.
Anyone would think they already lose their humanity, but in this organization. This is how the organization works.
Before they became part of the organization, they swore their loyalty and life to the organization. And anyone who would break that oath will be facing a consequence.
"P-please.." The man begged again but the man sitting in front just smirk and raised his hand.
The man who's holding a giant sword move closer to the man who's kneeling.
Teats started to flow down from his cheeks as the man raised the sword above his head and swing.
The only thing the man remembered is his head flying while looking at the red eyed man smirking evilly while looking at his head being cut off.
Everyone who witnessed that gruesome scene felt shivers. Even though they already saw that kind scene many times, they still can't help but felt shivers.
After it was finished. The man stand-up from sitting and walked towards the door.
The man who's been silent since the start of the novel gave him a handkerchief to wipe the blood in  his cheeks.
"Disgusting." The lord uttered in pure disgust as he wipe his cheeks.
The door opened and the man walked outside. A man grinning and a man who's smiling approached the frowning lord.
"My lord, long time no see and the so ever silent Owen" The lord frowned even more at the joyful voice of the man.
"How's my wife, Luke?" The lord asked the man who's smirking.
"Still pretty as ever." The man named Luke smile wildy. The man gave the smiling Luke a death glare.
Luke stopped from smirking and look at the man in fear.
"N-no, no. I was just joking my lord." Luke said nervously. Good thing the lord didn't mind what he just said. He sighed.
'I almost lose my life. Good thing the lord isn't in a bad mood.'
"Felix." The lord called the man beside Luke.
"Yes, my lord." The man bowed his head a little.
"What is she doing?" The lord asked the man whose name is Felix.
" Yesterday, she's been looking around the mansion, and this day, she just stayed inside." Felix report to his lord respectively.
"And oh, she also go to Madam's garden of tulips a lot. She seems to like it." The edge of the lord's lips lifted.
"Hmm, should I build a garden for her too? That garden is a gift my father gave my mother. That wouldn't be too bad. It's a gift for our wedding" The lord said like he's having fun.
Felix smile grew wide as he watched his lord thinking deeply of what gift should he gave to his wife.
It's a rare moment, and a very amusing one too.
"Did you already do what I told you last night?" The lord asked when he's done making his decisions about his gift.
"Yes, my lord. The report is already ready, would you like to look at it?" Felix asked while still smiling.
The lord shook his head and wear the new black gloves that Owen gave him.
"Maybe later." The three of them looked at each other confusedly.
The lord never said 'I'll check it later' when they said that the report he needed is already finished.
It's a first time.
"Owen, go get me a clean clothes." Owen bowed his head and leave.
"Where are you going, my lord?" Luke asked his lord confused at his unusual action.
The lord then then smirk.
"I'm going to visit my wife."
