Zachary Point of View
WE'RE STILL here at the restaurant, and I am waiting for Lara to finish her meal. I am doing stuff on my phone until her phone ring.
"Zach, Can I excuse a minute? I just answer this call?" Kaagad akong tumango at bumalik ang aking atensyon sa screen. Napansin kong bumalik kaagad si Lara na parang ilang segundo lang niyang kinausap ang tumatawag.
"I'm sorry, just a random call. Maybe wrong dial." kinakabahan na wika niya at bumalik na uli sa pagsubo ng pagkain, afterwards we ended up here at the golden scenery of park.
Marami nang tao ang naroon, vendors are everywhere to serve the peoples walking around the park. Lara just walked on the tiny bench and sat behind the steel fence. Umupo rin ako katabi niya at may tinapon siyang barya sa loob ng fountain malapit lang sa kinauupuan namin.
"I wished I could have a peaceful life, much better than a better." ngumiti siya saka ibinigay niya sakin ang isa pang barya, should I supposed to do this now?
"Go, throw it and have a wish." wika niya at napakibit-balikat ako, "I don't trust on this, but I will." itinapon ko ang barya at pinikit ng marahan ang mata.
"Well, I wished I could win the championship game upcoming this Sunday. Thats all."
"Oh, well I hope you could win, I swear I'll go there." I gave a light smile and then her head slightly tilted.
"Lets go, I am so tired Zach." Kaagad akong tumango at bumalik na kami sa kotse, I open the door for her before I stepped out to drive the car.
Susunduin ko na siya pabalik sa condo niya, I think we spare too much time.
Nakabalik na kami sa condo niya, tumingin siya muli at nginitian ako, "Thankyou so much for the lunch, also sa pagpunta natin sa park."
"Welcome, thats the least I could do for now." I slightly sigh as she stepped out on the car, I felt my heart dropped instantly. Parang gusto ko pa siyang makasama at makita, Zach can I let her go for a now?
"Thankyou too, Lara." and then I decided to manuevered the car out on the place, I drive back on my house and got fell asleep in tiredness.
Lara Point of View
I HAD SO much fun with Zach, hindi ko nga alam kung bakit nagkaroon ako ng sigla kapag may kasama. I often like to visit some place alone without having someone. It feels new to me.
I threw my jacket on the washing machine and lay myself on the floor, It took a minutes as I found out I am staring at the ceiling cooling up my boredom.
Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakahiga saka tinignan ang kalendaryo, Paano ba ako makakapunta kay Zach. Sa pagkakaalam ko ay may gagawin kami ng kaibigan kong si Clarisse sa clothing line niya, she would be mad If I hadn't go to her at Sunday.
I look for my phone and find Clarisse number on the contacts, after three rings she picked up and heard a crowds voice over the line.
"Lara, napatawag ka? We have so much customer here, just remind yourself na may trabaho ka bukas." bungad nito sa linya, I put my foot over the table and leaned on the couch supporter softly.
"Parang—"
"Parang hindi ako makakapunta sa linggo Clarisse, pero papasok parin ako bukas. Im sorry I had to attend some important errands." I heard Clarisse gave a light sigh, "Yeah, yeah its okay. Importante yan sayo, don't worry mukhang may tutulong naman sakin dito."
"Thankyou Clarisse, Im sorry talaga. Bawi na lang ako sa sunod." wika ko, "Yeah, bye I need to help my customer for a now."
The call had ended, itinapon ko ang cellphone sa tabi ko at saka humiga. I heave a deep sigh as I release the nervous inside my chest. Mabuti at pumayag din si Clarisse, I dont want to hurt Zach If I haven't go there, I already make a promise that I'll watch him at his championship game.
ITS BEEN a three days since the Sunday has started, I guess I can still make on Zachary championship game. Mabuti at nagising ako ng maaga, A few minutes there was an email on the screen of my phone and after realizing I figured out that It was Zachary.
How did he found my email account?
I stare at the screen and read his message, 'I am waiting for you, hope you come.'
Kaagad kong ibinalik ang phone at dali-daling nagayos ng sarili, I wore a simple shirt and a black short ahead with the shoes. I keep my hair into bun as I look myself on the mirror.
Now I look presentable and neat, kaagad kong kinuha ang cellphone ko sabay kinuha ang susi ng kotse para puntahan ang venue ng magaganap na championship game ni Zach.
Zachary Point of View
MY TEAMMATES are having a discussion on the room filled with lockers, nakasuot na ako ng jersey na may tatak sa pangalan ng aming grupo. Lilo my friend hugged me and then give a fistbump.
"Are you ready Zach? We must win this game, so that we could atleast enjoy our few summer months on vacation," ngumiti ako habang inaayos ang suot na sapatos.
"I've really loved to be ready, how can I lose this oppurtunity men. We are now on the top to focus in this game." Lilo stifle a laugh as our coach already call us to be prepared.
My other teammates just exit the room to surprised the fans on the big coliseum. Kasama ko narin si Lilo na lumabas at nagulat sa dami ng taong pumunta roon.
Top bleachers have still some vacant seat while the near VIP was already sealed the seat, crowds are now cheering and wearing some of the opponents jersey, cheering squad are starting to have a intermission at the center of the court.
Napansin kong kinakabahan ako habang sinusulyapan ang ilang parte ng coliseum para hanapin si Lara, but I guess I can't find her since everyone was still in struggle to find their seat. Lilo faced me again and tapped my shoulders.
"Don't lose hope Zach, too much crowds are watching us. We need to go further, kaya natin 'to." my teammates makes a circles as we put our hands in each shoulders.
"Okay we will win this game, dont lose hope guys. We are brave, we are fighters, Lord will guide us on this game, we still slay as tigers! Red Beast!" Lilo shouted as we repeat our basketball team name.
"Red Beast!" sigaw namin bago pa kami naghiwalay at naghanda sa announcement ng emcee, our opponent piled up to the other side. The referee just stand on the line before he throw the ball and one of our opponent catch it.
Nagsimula na ang first quarter at medyo kinakabahan pa ako, my hands are sweating in tensed. As my eyes are watching how our opponent opened their first movement.
Tumakbo ang kalaban, saka tumalon para ipa-shoot ang bola. Our team just run on the ring as we they try to blocked the ball but we didnt made it.
They are the first to have the score, the team passed the ball as we try to give a throw from another teammates. Lilo dribble the ball to the side of court before he passed it from our teammates who are now in the opponent area, waiting to have our score.
Finally, a second just passed. We made it, kaagad na nagbigay kami ng high-five sa bawat isa bago nagpokus uli sa panibagong galaw.
First and second quarter was finally over, the opponent was still had the highest score. Only five points before we passed it, kaagad na tinawag kami ng coach para sa panibagong galaw na tatahakin.
We had to make sure, na wala kaming masasaktan na teammates kung sakaling maging foul man ang game. Third quarter has started and none of us are still nervous to have a quick throw, tumakbo si Lilo papunta sa kalaban para agawin ang bola.
Tumungo naman kami sa kabila ng court para salubungin kung sakaling mahawakan ni Lilo, two of us were near on the ring. Tatlo ang nakabantay samin kung sakaling ipasa saamin ang bola.
When Lilo got the ball, he throw it at instance. As I try to catch it, ilang segundo ko bago ko narealize na hawak ko na pala ito. The team just shouted at the other side that I must do it before the opponent have it again.
I put my one foot infront as I jumped to make a slamdunk, the crowds went silent as one of our opponent jumped too to blocked the ring.
Ngunit sa isang iglap lang ay napuno ng tilian at sigawan ang coliseum ng napasok ko ang bola sa ring, nakasabit na lamang ang mga kamay ko habang pinapanood ang maingay na venue.
"Red Beast! Red Beast!" the crowd were in noise, I can see how my coach amaze on me. Nang bumagsak ako sa sahig kaagad akong nilapitan ni Lilo sabay tinapik ang balikat ko.
He wagged his eyebrow with his teasingly aura, "Energetic ka ngayon? nanood ata bago mong girlfriend,"
"Don't make me laugh now, we have to focus for the last round." ngumiti si Lilo bago siya tumakbo pabalik sa area namin, The last quarter has started and everything was turn intense.
Everyone was now cheering, everything was like a frequency as it start to land on my ears. Noise's are giving now a deafining silence.
Madali na namin matapos ang laro kung mai-aangat namin ang dalawang puntos sa kalaban, half of an hour 'til we finally have the equal points.
Last two minutes before the last quarter has ended, i can't feel the real feeling of mine right now. I heave a deep sigh as I looked at our opponents.
They are now showing their fierce aura, alam namin na matatangkad ang ilan sakanila at palagi silang nanalo sa ilang laban. Kaya pa ba namin ipadaig kung ito na ang oppurtunidad para manalo.
Nakuha nila ang bola at pinasa-pasa nila para makuha ang tampang tempo para ipasok sa ring, we secure our area by blocking them. If they did to throw at a long distance, It has a chance that they could win or not, or have an another point that can lead us to have a problem with the points.
Nagulat na lamang ako ng tuluyan na nitong itinapon ang bola, crowds turn in silence as we saw how the ball move in the ring. Kaagad akong tumakbo hanggang sa makakaya ko at saka kinuha ang tamang oras para harangan ang bola na pabagsak sa ring.
Lumabas muli ang ingay ng manonood ng naiwasan kong makapasok ang bola, kinuha ko kaagad ito at naghintay ng segundo para ibigay kay Lilo.
Only thirty second until we finally won this championship game. Nang mahawakan ni Lilo ay kaagad na akong tumakbo papasok sa linya, hinanda ko na ang puwesto ko para sa ring.
Lilo throw the ball at me, as I jumped the least I could do just to catch the ball. Hindi ko napansin na na-igalaw ko muli ang palad ko para ipa-shoot ang bola, the remaining time is now wasting.
Isang malakas na hiyawan muli ang bumungad ng tuluyan kong natapos ang laro, we already won the final round. And we're the winner! Tumakbo ang ilang teammates ko para salubungin ako at saka ihagis sa hangin, natawa ako sa mga sinasabi nila habang buhat nila ako.
I felt new, I feel happy. I held our trophy as I show it infront of the audience, Lilo just won the MVP medal, he earned the highest point of scoring.
Kaagad na akong pumunta sa sulok ng venue habang hinahanap ng mata ko si Lara, I know she's here and watching me that I won. I can't help my heart that forcing me to seek for her.
Kanina pa ako naghihintay at ilang supporter ng aming grupo ang humingi ng selfie sakin at autograph, my emotion was in blue as I feel hopeless that she was here.
Not until my eye just caught someone, "Zach!"
And another person just hugged me tight infront of her.
