Zachary Point of View
NOTHING seems new, It was a chilly night as I stopped on the bar nearby on the shore and order a simple glass of beer.
I didn't know why I end up here? I just felt lone and tears, after I found out that there's someone special than me to my girlfriend Elise. I know its hard to forget and just forgive her, but how? What am I supposed to do? She was too suspicious as start, and my doubt has right for it.
"Sir, another?" the bartender held a glass of beer again, napansin kong naubos ko na ang iininom ko. I nod as I put my tip on his hand.
"Thankyou."
I seldom being careless to her? But why did she do that to me? I mean for all freaking three years. My stone-heart cracked as I chugged the beer and instantly release a heat through breath.
Cold temperature hovers nearby, and the chilly wind came from shore are giving me uptight.
"Bro, God your here. Akala ko kung saan-saan ka na pumunta." He sighed in relieve as he sat near on me, he order a glass of beer too.
"What happen bro? What happen to your face? Totoo ba yung nabalitaan ko?" my friend asked in nervous, he was Lilo. One of my trustworthy friend, he is also member of my team in basketball.
"Yeah, and I just want to be alone." I said calmly.
"Don't worry, im here bro. I can cheer you up! Don't bother yourself in Elise affair, she has a reason for that. Just talk to her and then have a calm conversation." I hold my chest as I felt coldness, hindi naman masakit ang suggestion ni Lilo. That would be hurt more if I face her.
"Im sorry for that." Lilo tapped my shoulder as he accompany me, it less my pain.
"Yeah, yeah. Thanks bro, but I recommend do you have some important errands to run, maybe you can go cause I want to be alone." Lilo face turn blank, importante ngayon ay mapag-isa muna ako. Its complicated to have someone but surely I just need someone to accompany me.
"Or I should go home, I just need to fresh my mind out."
"Yeah sure, drive safely." ngumiti ako at niyakap siya, I tapped his back too and return his goodbye, "Bukas pala, championship game natin sa basketball. Dont worry about her, worry about our game then." I smiled bitterly.
"Thanks bro, copy." kaagad na akong umalis sa stool at iniwan si Lilo na patuloy na inuubos ang inorder na beer, kaagad na akong naglakad sa dalampasigan at nilanghap ang simoy ng hangin.
Cold? I need to grab my jacket quick, im getting frozen here. Nang makabalik ako sa parking lot malapit sa dalampasigan ay kaagad na hinanap ang kotse ko.
I alarm my car as I straight opening the door, I puffed a breath as I release cold and sit on the chair. Kaagad ko nang inilagay ang susi saka inapakan ang clutch.
Before I grabbed the steering wheel, the car speed up straight and bumped someone car. My body tensed up, why are you stupid Zach? This heartbreak will make you insane. Pati na lang ba pagmamaneho?
Kaagad akong lumabas ng kotse at tinignan ang harapan ng kotse ko, everything was alright until I look at someone car.
Nagulat ako ng bumagsak ang plaka sa sahig at ilang parte ng kotse ay nasira, I broke it then there's a possibility, that I'll pay a huge compensate for this.
I stilled when my body vibrates excessively in fear as I looked at someone who stepped on the car I broke.
"Ano ba yan? Natutulog ang tao rito?" and then a woman came and she was scratching the back of her head. Why I am unmindful in using car, now this is my responsible mababawasan na naman tayo ng pera.
"Waaaahhh!" She screamed as she looked at me, nawala ang lungkot ko ng makita ang mukha niya.
She has a curly thick hair, pure charcoal eyes, thick red lips. Tall bridge of nose, her darn jaw has a shape than me. Thats unfair, but why she looks baduy.
She's wearing a long oversize pajamas, and only wearing a thick orange jacket. Mayroon pang headseat ang tainga nito ay nakikinig ng musika.
Dahil nga sa impact ng pagkakabunggo ko, I really messed up her sleep even she is listening to music. Wrong night Zach!
Napatingin uli ako sakanya at nagbabaga ang mata nito sa galit, my heart raced as the rage horse let out in the horse rack.
"This is the only latest car that Dad boughts me, you'll pay for this. Change my car and don't pay for the broke." She said fuming in anger, nakakuyom ang mga kamao nito habang nakatingin ng madalim sa direksyon ko. I stilled froze at the moment while watching her drive in madness.
God, she has a unique beauty. Alam kong may ganda siya, but why my heart feel it. She is unattractive but more than that there's more about her.
"Sorry, but I didn't do that intentionially." I lie as I tried to go back in my car when she suddenly grabbed my ear, kaagad akong napahiyaw sa sakit at tinignan siya ng nagmamakaawa.
"I'm heartbroken, please lets just talk tomorrow..."
"Anong talk? bought me a new one para magkasunduan tayo dito. I don't care about your lousy lovelife, I just want my car back in new!" She screamed near my ear, anger flashed in her big round eyes.
"Fine, lets go." I purred.
She was still holding my ear until we get on my car, kaagad niya iyon binitawan ng makaupo siya. She crossed her arm and look straight at the window.
"Go, buy me a new one." pilit na wika nito, at tanging pagtango na lang ang nagawa ko. And now I have felt changes, sadness had dissapeared and my mourn to my ex has been banished.
Mababaliw na yata ako sa babaeng 'to, she demand so high. Kaya ko bang mabilihan siya ng panibagong kotse, but if i were her talagang gusto ko ng pumalit ng kotse pero imposibleng masira lahat ng 'yon.
Habang patingin ako sakanya ay iniismidan lamang ako nito, she put her headset back on her ear to calm her. Until we arrived at the car shop.
"Good, I'll choose a new one. And if you don't have an high amount on your wallet, just bring on down payment." Mataray na utal nito saka bumaba sa kotse, I stepped out in the car and look at the shop.
Kapansin-pansin na ang mamahal ng mga kotse dito, bakit pa kasi dito pa? Anyways, I have my black card to pay for it. For also her unidentified charm I'll agree on buying her a new car.
"Yun, may nakita na ako." kaagad siyang tumakbo sa kotse at kaagad na hinawakan ito, may dumating din na car dealer para i-inquire kami sa details ng kotse.
I spent an hour, before the woman came back while holding my black card. Then I already sight in her hand the car key.
"Then sold! Hindi ko alam na may ganito ka palang kalaking pera, nice friend." I stood up and quick grabbing the card, kaagad kong inilagay sa bulsa ko at tinignan siya.
"Are we good, then we're done?" ngumiti siya at tumango, mukhang napawi ang galit sa mukha niya ng mabili niya na ang bagong pink na kotse.
"Yeah, then you can go now. Atleast I could now have a good sleep." tatalikuran na sana ako nito ng muli kong hablutin ang kanyang braso, she looked towards mine and she returned her smile.
"What now?"
"Can I ask for your name, and also for your address?" tanong ko at tumawa ito ng mahinhin, that laugh was so addictive to hear.
"Okay, since you already pay the lost of my car. I'll give myself, well I am Lara Morgreese just simple not simp, and my address was here." She took her phone and zoom the map over her application.
"This condominium, I live there. But if you want to visit me, just bring foods or any things. I don't accept lousy visitors too." kaagad kong inilahad ang kamay ko, at nagkaroon ng tibok muli ang puso kong natigil sa pagka-karera.
"Nice to meet you then, I am Zachary Heinsworth. Just call me Zach and i'm heartbroken." I repeated and she laughed again, nakita kong kumislap ang kanyang mata sa mga nakaharap na ilaw samin.
"Pity of you, by the way thanks for the new car. I am excited to use this finally, I deserved it after getting my driver license." He said at kaagad na itong naunang maglakad patungo sa nilalabas nang kotse niya, I turned back and smile in awkwardness.
What happen after all Zach?
Nang makaalis na ito sa bagong kotse niya ay agad na akong sumunod sa kotse ko, I stepped the accelerator out of my awaraness and then I bumped the decoration pots on the carshop.
"Im sorry for that." I said as I manuevered the car out, napakatanga mo talaga Zach ano? Wala ka na bang mababago?
I WENT back home and dropped myself on the bed, I breath out as I look up the ceiling.
How's your drama Zach, did you deal it easily huh? How come on you, kaagad akong tumayo at idineposito ang suot na damit sa bin, I walked on the bathroom shirtless as I decided to have a warm bath.
Napansin kong lumuluha na ako at unti-unting nasusugutan ang magaspang kong puso ko, I dont know why this came after I encounter a woman named Lara.
Also if Elise really cheated on me, thats the sign of my karma for being a womanizer in year. I've been so sucked up after loving Elise, If I still need her reason. How shame am I to get fooled again.
You'll just feel pain for that, I should restrain from going back to her and have a conversation. It much more good if I prevent seeing her and much more fine if we don't talk and give her a distance.
Pero sa pagkakaalam ko, Elise didn't know that I already witness how she cheated on me. She will came back tomorrow and tell more lies again being clingy as if she was contented with me.
On the other day, she always left me alone without an word. Its better that I know I am not the only one for her, that will give me not more pain If I found out too late.
Maybe she's sleeping with that guy, and more than sleeping. Maybe they kiss or much more than that, God! My mind was really corrupted on describing how she lived on the other man.
I left the shower and frustated wearing my night clothes as I lay down on my bed and put my device infront me. The screen is on my face, then I'll go search for Lara's name in websites.
Lara Morgresse, not found!
Did she deactiveate her account? Baka hindi lang siya gumagamit ng social media, what an alien?
Kaagad ko ng inihiga ang sarili ko sa kama at tinapat ang unan sa mukha ko, I felt really lost right now. Whats the matter on me?
I should asleep, so that I can't feel the pain on my heart. Its hard to against with it, thats the least I could do in my condition.
Flashback.....
I spotted Elise walking alone in the pavements, she's in rush that gives me curiousity at mukang sabik na sabik ito. Saan ba siya pupunta? Should I follow her this time, I thought she's dealing with her work.
Nang sinundan ko siya ay napatigil ako sa tapat ng bakanteng parke, Elise instantly grab someone and she immediately hugged it. Thats give me a instant shock as I witness them, am I being cheated?
"Babe, how are you? I missed you so much." The man hugged her again and give a peck of kiss on her forehead, that gives me a strange heat inside my ribcage, I just felt betray of being inlove..
"Fine, how about your relationship with that womanizer. Did she already touch you?" Then they put me on their conversation, this time I focus on listening to them. If I interrupt their talk then everything will over and I can't find her purpose for having me.
"Hindi, ikaw lamang ang makakahawak sakin at ikaw lang ang mamahalin ko. Gagawin ko ang lahat para masira lang ang imahe niya, tiniis ko ang tatlong taon habang hindi pa sila natatalo ng kung sinuman kaya hinintay ko na ang pagkakataon na ito para pabagsakin ang grupo niya. I want you to win the championship game that's why I sacrificed myself to that bastard. Would it drives me insane if you give me a miss kiss?" tanong ng Elise ng bigla na lamang siyang hinawakan ng lalaki sa batok saka binigyan ng halik.
My hand turn into fist and anger flashed at my face, my emotion was eager to release. My breakdown makes me forget her purpose and her actual reason, and now I remember and I precisely understand.
That she use me in order to make her actual boyfriend win against us. And I will never make that happen!
