Year : 1920
In the Holm's Grand Cemetery, Two husky young men were digging up the grave of Sir Richard Holm -the founder of Holm town. They were hoping to get some of the treasures that were buried along with the body. They were so sure that Richard Holm buried lots of money with him in his grave because he was a very greedy man when he was still alive.
“ This old man is greedy , making sure the treasure is buried deep, along with his coffin ” The first man said.
“ Just keep digging, we will find that treasure of his” The second man said as they continued to dig.
“ What are you two doing to my father's grave?” A man much older than them said as he stood behind them with a lantern in his hand.
“ Oh my! If it isn't the great founder's son, Henry Holm, it's been a while, ” The second man said.
“ Stop with your nonsense and tell me why you are digging up my father's grave? I specifically sent a warning that no one should touch my father's grave, so why are you going against that warning?” Henry replied, glaring daggers at the two.
“ Fine, alright, Sir Edward, can you kindly explain why we are doing this?” The second man said with a mischievous grin on his face.
“ Gladly, Sir James, ” Edward said with a mischievous grin. The two men moved closer to Henry. Henry, who wasn't sure of what they were planning, stood still and this gave Edward the chance to hit him hard on the head with his shovel and grabbed him.
“ Shall I tie him up? ” Edward asked, James stared at Henry and shook his head.
“ Leave him be, we must finish the task at hand” James said. Edward nodded, left Henry on the ground and continued with the digging.
An hour later…
“ Yes, I got something,” James yelled with excitement, cleaning the sweat off his forehead.
“ What is it? ” Edward asked, James pointed to the slightly huge wooden chest below and signaled Edward to help him lift it up.
“ It's really heavy, ” Edward complained. Little did they know that something from the shadows was watching their every move.
“ *Sigh* It's locked” James groaned in anger. Suddenly, someone-with full force-pushed him away from the wooden chest.
“ What on earth? What is wrong with you, Henry?” Edward yelled as Henry blocked the wooden chest.
“ What are you guys doing? This belongs to my father, stay away from it” Henry yelled. James walked towards Henry with an angry expression on his face.
“ What's in it? We want to know, now move aside, ” James said and pulled Henry away.
“ No, if you open it, you and everyone in this town will be cursed!” Henry yelled with despair and fear visible in his eyes. ' what should I do? these two fools won't listen, it's almost midnight time is running out , if I don't convince them to return the chest ... that thing will come ' He thought.
“ Oh gosh! Shut up you fool, ” Edward cursed.
“ I'm serious, please, just return that chest and forget about it ” Henry begged. ' Just listen to me and return the chest , before it's too late, before that thing comes!' He mentally yelled.
“ What a lie, you know something, people like you disgust me. The money that was meant for the people of this town, you and that greedy father of yours took it all for yourselves.” James yelled.
“ Yes I know, and on my late father's behalf, I'm terribly sorry but please don't open that chest and return it as soon as possible , before it's too late ” Henry said. Just then, the moon shone even brighter, Henry's eyes showed complete fear when he noticed that the moon was brighter than before.
' oh no! don't tell me it's already midnight' He thought.
“ What? What is the time?” Henry stuttered.
“ It's twelve in the morning, can't you see how bright the moon is ?” Edward replied.
“ Return the chest now! before It's too …” Henry said, but he couldn't complete his words , something sharp went through his chest. James and Edward had frightened expressions on their faces. Henry had blood coming out from his eyes and mouth, it was terrifying.
“ Run now " he muttered, before he was dragged into the darkness and never to be seen again.
“ Edward, let's leave this place now " James said, he took the chest, pulled Edward along and ran away from the cemetery.
