Veera’s POV
I felt relieved after yelling and insulting that jerk and venting my rage at my unfaithful spouse. We left the kids to play outside the estate while Mrs. Payne and I went inside to chat about something. I let Mrs. Payne read the letter Aji had given me because I knew she was trustworthy.
"How dare Sir Aji treat you like way, Miss?" Mrs. Payne became enraged after reading the letter as well.
"Yes, how dare he cheat on me while I was here being mistreated by the community after he left!" I also yelled angrily.
"Miss, what are you going to do with those kids?" Mrs. Payne questioned about my intentions for the two children.
"I have no option but to take care of them by myself," I muttered.
Mrs. Payne smiled at me, pleased with my decision, saying, "I think it's a gift in disguise that these kids are here because it will replace the child-"
"Don't bring up that issue, Mrs. Payne," I said before she could finish.
"I'm sorry Miss, I won't mention it again." She apologizes and promises not to bring it up again.
It's not Mrs. Payne's fault, but I'm being a coward reliving that experience; I'm not ready to express it out loud right now, not with the kids here.
"Anyway, I'm going to purchase clothing for the kids today and I'm going to bring them with me," I remarked to Mrs. Payne, shifting the subject.
"That's a great idea, Miss; the kids will like it!" " Mrs. Payne thought my proposal was good.
Mrs. Payne then excused herself since she needed to start working around the house, while I walked back to where the kids were playing at the moment to get them ready for our trip to town. As I got closer to where the kids were playing, I heard them arguing with someone, which worried me, so I walked briskly so I could get there soon.
When I got at the place, I saw Mr. Cabbage almost attack the kids, so I yelled at him, "STOP IT!" " I yelled.
His movement came to a halt when he heard me, and both children ran towards me, terrified of Mr. Cabbage, who was only grinning at me. I hugged both terrified children in my body and glared angrily at Mr. Cabbage.
"What are you doing, Mr. Cabbage, attempting to harm these children?" I chastised Mr. Cabbage for attempting to harm the children.
He simply laughed at what I had stated to him. "I was simply teaching these kids manners Veera, because they were disrespecting me, therefore these kids deserve to be smacked," Mr. Cabbage explained to me.
"With the old man, his lying AB just saved me!" Her younger sister stood up for her brother.
"What exactly happened back here?" I asked of both children as to the truth of what had occurred.
"Are you going to believe those lying children Veera rather than your long-time friend?" Mr. Cabbage inquired, referring to our friendship.
When did I become your friend, Mr. Cabbage? If my memory serves me correctly, we are not friends.
I merely gazed at him irritably while still hugging the kids. "What are you doing here, Mr. Cabbage?" I questioned.
He just smirk towards me arrogantly “I am here to informed you that your idiotic brother had used this mansion to pay for his gambling debt towards me” Mr. Cabbage explained.
When I heard what Mr. Cabbage stated, my eyes widened in alarm. "What did you say?! " I wanted to double-check that I had heard it accurately.
"Don't act dumb Veera, you know what I mean, and so because I am your long-time friend, I will offer you two choices: marry me and keep that ugly house, or leave that house now," Mr. Cabbage remarked, giving me two options.
“No! This is my husband's home, and I cannot allow it to be sold to someone else! " I objected to Mr. Cabbage.
"Aren't you tired of waiting for your husband who abandoned you, Veera? That husband of yours may already be dead for all we know; just accept the truth that your husband left you because he regretted marrying someone as unattractive as you," Mr. Cabbage insulting me.
"Miss is not unattractive; she is gorgeous! And our father had no choice at the moment! "Both children stood up to Mr. Cabbage and protected their father and myself.
Mr. Cabbage arched his eyebrows, bewildered by what he heard from the children. "Father? Who is the father you're addressing? " He asked the children coldly.
Both children are hiding behind my back in fright, while I remain mute after hearing Mr. Cabbage insults thrown at me. How can my cretinous brother use my house to pay off his own debts!
"In any case, Veera, which choice will you select? I like option 1 of marrying me since you can still live in that mansion and have a guy, please you at night, don't you think? " Mr. Cabbage stated in a filthy voice that revolted me, and when he wasn't pleased, he indecently touched my waist in front of the kids.
Because I was so upset and disgusted with what Mr. Cabbage was doing, I smacked his face so hard that he fell to the ground in front of us. He was taken aback by what I had done to him.
"You dared to hit me?! " He yelled fiercely at me.
"You deserved that jerk! Anyway, I'm not going to pick any of the options you gave; I'm going to be the one to pay off that loan in full! " I yelled fiercely at Mr. Cabbage.
Mr. Cabbage laughed as he rose up again and said to me, "Pay in full in my butt!" You're too impoverished to pay off your brother's $1 BILLION debt! Anyway, I change my mind, you just have today to leave! " He warned as he walked away from us.
One billion worth of debt? Why did I say such a thing? I'm so doomed!
How can I acquire a billion dollars in a single day? I had gone insane, but I was so pleased that I had finally managed to smash that jerk in the face!
"Is it our fault, Miss, that you're being driven out of your own house?" The kids are serious when they question me.
"No, it's not your fault, don't worry; for the time being, let's go back inside, okay?" " I reacted truly to them.
They merely nodded at me, and the three of us went back inside the home quietly. Because of this problem, whatever plans I had for them have been canceled for the time being.
Unknown POV
As I scanned the town where I was born, I found myself looking at it with bored eyes. Why did I return to this town? I forgot about it since I was preoccupied with something else. And I remembered the letter that had arrived in my flat from my brother, with whom I hadn't spoken in over 10 years, since I had left this town angry at him.
I look again at the letter and read what was written on it.

What type of letter is this? I'm not sure if this originated from him or not, but the familiar handwriting is unmistakably his. That is why I am here to ensure that everything is well, and my brother is just playing pranks on me. I'm still upset with him, since I'm the type of person that holds grudges for a long period of time.
