Mate

Azian’s POV
It was hard to describe the feeling.
The feeling of being completely and utterly lost in someone else. A feeling that had never occurred to me. I knew beauty very well, a term that was used to define me on more occasions than I cared to recall, I had never really liked the term or had been pushed to use it often, but staring in the forest green orbs of the girl before me,  I believed I would have to use the word again,
One whiff of her scent was toxic.
One whiff and I knew she was not human.
One whiff and all my lingering doubts and troubles were gone away, her lovely eyes boring into mine.
One word and one word only could describe this feeling.
"Mate." I growled out.
She nodded as if in a trance, a look that was similar to mine placed on her delicate features as she stared into my eyes. I couldn’t feel anybody else but her, her aura, her scent and I knew she couldn’t feel anything but me. She seemed speechless as I was in that moment. Was she surprised to have found me? Did she even know what I was?
I could tell her species from her scent, no matter how mixed it was, a hybrid it seemed. Her scent was dripping in magic, yet I could sense the stale scent of blood from her vampire origins. Such a hybrid was rare, as vampires and witches were not the typical allies.
Yet judging by the size of her aura which was larger than anybody else’s, other than Edwin and I, she was very powerful, which only meant, her prime parents were higher up in the supernatural community, maybe a third level witch or a master vampire.
Even as I put all this together in mere seconds of meeting, I seemed to be trapped in between getting lost in those evergreen eyes and remembering exactly how to breathe. Alpha and Omega were extremely quiet allowing the three of us to take every inch of her in, as if it was needed that we remember every single part of her.
This was it for us. We had found her. Our other halves, the missing piece.
A complete soul, and she was powerful which was pleasing to Alpha as I felt him stir from within me, my eyes flashing gold for a second. Her Aura masking itself around us in a beautiful warm blanket.
“K-Khloe,” She suddenly stuttered, eyes still holding mine. I couldn’t help the smile that grazed my lips, knowing her name, and having the privileged to say it, “Khloe” I repeated, unable to break away from her spelled beauty.
She visibly gulped, nodding slight “y-yes.” She replied as if I had asked a question.
I found it amusing that my own mate would stutter before my presence. From the change of her aura I could tell she was stunned and equally entranced with me as I was with her. She should know that Erania herself designed me for her, and for the first time I was honored to have her eyes feasting on my outward beauty, a purring Omega responding in satisfaction, “I love it.”
Her breathing became deeper, her plump lips softly ajar a pained yet awed look in her eyes. I read all this attentively asking Alpha to tone it down. His Aura was extremely suffocating at the moment I was sure, even for her. My dragon was stubborn and proud. Stubborn because he refused to shift when the fate of our whole race rested on his shoulders and full of pride because even in his closed state he never failed to show off his power.
It didn’t matter that I hadn’t yet shifted, it didn’t matter that my Golden side was yet manifest physically, he still wanted to let everyone else know he was the most powerful being in the twin realms, in ten thousand realms. That is the reason why the Lycan, werewolf, witch and Vampire boy that attended Rodney high and those that lived in Torent never dared to bother us, they could feel his power, and now our mate did too, but she was not someone who had to fear us.
Alpha growled deeply but nevertheless proceeded to lower his dominance, the exchange in our Aura shifting lowly, decreasing just enough to accommodate out hybrid mate.
We matched beautifully and perfectly.
“Azian,” I stated introducing myself, I wanted to hear her say my name, to hear a voice once again. And I wanted it to be the only one she’d ever say.
A bar smile appeared on her delicate features, staring at me with wide eyes as if in awe, “Azian,” she repeated after me. I nodded, relishing the feeling before her eyes suddenly snapped away from my gaze and a feeling of irritation took hold of me, eyebrows furrowing at the loss of intimacy, her eyes surveying the rest of her surroundings.
“Uh….c-can we go …Somewhere?” she trailed off, her eyes still off me. I slightly turned looking up at the eyes of wondering super natural’s and clueless humans alike, a low growl emitting from my lips. Those that could hear on a frequency that low, immediately averted their eyes, but as far as humans go, their eyes remained a passive glance away.
It was moments like this, I felt a spike in anger. They were making my mate feel uncomfortable, I could feel the heat traveling up my arms until a soft hand clutched my hand. I looked down into her eyes and she gave me an assuring nod as if she could sense what it was that was going through my mind, her hand sliding into mine firmly as we walked away.
