*Vienna's P.O.V.*
It has been a week and half after that Monday night and I'm here on the shop, doing my job. I can now say that I prefer a normal life, I'm a peaceful witch. Mom asked me about it, and I'm like, I wasn't much help there and I didn't shift and didn't talk about it again. She asked me to leave London but I decided otherwise and there's nothing she can do about it. Of course I wrote about that night and all those stuffs. I still have suspicion about Cathy being a witch, maybe I should ask Gibson for more of that potion but nah, he'll probably say no.
"Hey Vienna, can you cover for me in the front? I have to buy something." Cassy said.
"Sure." I said washing my hands and brought what I finished into the front.
"Take this list dear, I need you to get some supplies for me." Cathy added as she took my place in the lab.
"Sure mom." Cassy left some time later and I just sit on the front desk waiting for costumers.
The little bell in the door way dinged and I looked at the door to see a familiar stormy gray eyes looking at me.
"Gibson." I said as he approached the desk. My eyes narrowed, cause the last time he came in here, he talked to me about that mission. I’m afraid he might need me to kill someone again.
"Hi Vienna, can I have a medicine for a spider bite?" He asked with a smile and for a moment, I was shocked. Eh?
"You're bitten by a spider?" I can’t help but ask.
"No, not me and not a normal spider." He answered casually.
"So now you're dealing with a shifter?" That’s the only reasonable thought that came into my mind. Wow, he must be a Paranormal Detective, and not just a Police Detective, kind of officer.
"Yeah, and our witness was bitten by I guess, the suspected spider." He confirmed.
"And why are you here?"
"It's a spice shop, it should have the ingredients that I need."
"Actually, I can call the manager she knows those stuffs, I don't."
"Working with a healer witch?" Now that question stopped me. I always have a lot of questions about Cathy Molliens, and now someone can answer them.
"I'm not even sure about that. Can you see if she is, you know?" He’s a hunter witch after all.
"Send her in."
I walked to the back and called out for Cathy who is working in the lab.
"What is it?" she asked as she wiped her hands with a towel.
"Someone's looking for a cure of a spider bite and said it's not a normal spider."
"Oh okay, I got this. You can go home after you clean the lab." She seemed to be in a hurry to shoo me off, perhaps it’s because she doesn’t want me to know what she really is.
I cleaned up then went to the front and saw that Gibson already left and Cathy is counting some cash. I said my goodbye and went home. I opened my apartment door and was surprised that the light is on. I crossed my fingers preparing for what is in there. I slowly close the door and-
"Hello Vienna."
"Gibson?"
I uncrossed my fingers and put down my bag.
"You know you're trespassing right?"
"Not really, I need your help."
"Did you get the antidote for the spider bite?"
"Yes and she's a dead witch."
"What?"
"You heard me. She's technically a witch but she doesn't have powers anymore."
"How does that happen?"
"Probably passed down her powers to someone."
"You've talked to Cassy, is she a witch?"
"No."
Okay now this is strange, maybe that's why Cathy's trying out spells, that one time when she's chanting and pouring the stuff again. But if Cassy's not a witch-
"Vienna?" I snap back to reality and look at officer Gibson.
"Yeah? So what do you want me to do?"
"That spider, is hard to crack. I hope you can talk to her?"
"What happened?"
"Some abduction and yeah, that's when the witness was bitten, told us about a group of people who abducted a neighbor, patrol caught one of them which the witness identified, but she says she'd rather be killed than tell where their hide out is."
"Are you sure I'm not going to kill anybody?" cause I don't wanna do that.
"Not necessarily."
"Okay, just let me change."
After changing he led me to his car, we drove to the police office and went to a room, that's where I was when I first talked to Gibson.
There sat a girl with dark curly hair and hazel eyes looking so focused.
"Get in there, I'll be listening outside."
"Wait."
"What?"
"Was someone listening to us when we spoke the last time?"
"No, I made sure of it, they'd think we're crazy you know."
"Okay." I said and went inside the room. The girl looked at me and then looked back down.
"Hello, Gale right?" I started off as I sit down infront of her.
"You can't get anything from me." she stated flatly.
"I don't want anything from you." I said, this caught her attention and she looked at me. Binggo! I started twirling my hair as I started getting in her mind.
"Yeah right, you want to ask me where we're taking them, you're an officer." I started on some of her memories but her mind is closed, smart girl but not too smart for me.
"Do you have a family?"
"How do you think I came into this world?"
"Are you living with them?"
"What do you want from them?"
"They brought you up right?"
"They do."
"You never left them."
"Where are you going with this?"
"They're in the gang with you right?"
"What are you talking about?" there you go, her mind opened up, I knew shifters never move far from their families, they live by packs and pods.
"You are lucky to have a family." I crossed my fingers and made her see me in a different light, a spider shifter, just like her. She gasped. "Maybe you can lead me home, and I can lead you out of here." by now, I'm already in her mind, influencing her.
"You're a spyra? But how?"
"Family, which I lost." I'm already seeing some of her recent memories, how the police got her, where she's from before that, in a van with a person inside a sack, in an abandoned warehouse...
"I know where you might find them."
"Where?"
"But you must warn them for I am not sure if I'll be out of here."
"I will."
"Lot 67, at West avenue Elandas" and the picture is clear on her mind, that must be it.
"Thank you." I snapped my fingers, she breathed deeply and suddenly fell asleep.
I stood up and went out. I went to Gibdon and said, "Lot 67, West Avenue Elandas. It's an abandoned warehouse, they should be there." I felt a little dizzy and held my head.
"Woah, that was fast, hey, hey, you okay?" Gibson said, catching my shoulders.
"Did I use a lot of power?"
"The atmosphere and heaviness of it can even be felt from out here."
"Her mind was closed, so I had to let her guard down, and I tried checking her memory, I let her see me as a spyra and I got her to tell the truth." I almost fall but Gibson took a hold of me and placed me in a chair.
"That's a fucking lot, how old are you exactly?"
"I'm turning 18 next week."
"What? You haven't reached the age of fulfillment yet?"
"No Gibson and it doesn't matter, go now, for every moment we spend here talking is a moment of danger and death to those who were abducted."
"And you? How will you go home?"
"I can handle this. I'll sit here for awhile then I'll go."
He nodded and ran into the others telling them about the information and preparing to go to their destination. One criminology student approached me,
"Officer Gibson told me to drive you home."
I stood up, still dazed thanking him. I laid in bed an hour after I arrived hime. So much power, how was I able to do that all at once? I know a deceiver can go to that extent but a young one like me? Maybe it was just the heat of the moment. I slowly doze off to sleep. Although there's something about me that you should know, I'm a very light sleeper, no matter how tired I am, a noise would wake me up. And that's why I jolted up when I heard crashing on my door and living room.
Is there a theif? What kind of theif would not be careful? I mean I did not put any traps in there. I grabbed the lampshade to use it as a weapon just incase. I open my bedroom door, slowly. I was about to whack the head of whoever is there with the lamp when the figure fell on its own with a painful groan. I turn on the lights and
"Gibson?" I exclaimed
