The whole atmosphere is all quiet with everyone in the city enjoying the cool breeze that flows around. At a random house beside the road, the family all camp outside encircled around the firewood, as they all laughed and gossiped.
“Remember the kid saying, he wants like your sneakers Austin?” a teenager inquired.
“Yeah, we did teach those kids some lessons” they busted into laughter as they munched on the sausages placed on a flat plate. “Am sure right now, the parents would still be on the street begging for alms”.
“That the lifestyle of people that are poor,” the teenager said once further. An unexpected force, strongly opened the gate unlocked which transmits fear to everyone.
Then a foot walked closer to the people who were already on their feet, the light from the firewood disclosed the invader's face, which was Beavis with a face filled with rage. “Then show me the lifestyle of people that are rich”.
An elderly man stepped closer to the enraged Beavis, “Who are you?, How dare you barge into my place, like this”.
Beavis stared into the man's eyes with evil intents in his senses, “Step aside…am here for them” he points to the teenagers who were staring at him with commotion.

“Am going to call the cops right now, if you don't leave” the elderly man terrorizes Beavis who raised his arm pushing the man aside. Jojo came from behind to reveal himself to the rest, “Maybe you know who I am now”.

The teenagers gazed at Jojo, as they opened their eyes wider. “You?”, immediately the teenagers dispersed running to protection rapidly, Beavis moved swiftly, pursuing one of the teenagers.
MRS Age alongside Lily emptied the whole dining table. “Thank you, dear…I can take it from here” she said with a face of indebtedness.
“No…it's okay, let me help you” Lily answered back, trying to support Mrs. Age with the dishes into the kitchen.
MRS Age and Lily washed the dishes for some minutes…then they moved to the wide, spacious living room to take a break from the aggravating work. “Dear…I would like to speak to you about something” she solicited.
Lily sat beside Mrs age on the couch, adjusting herself closer. “You can go ahead…Mrs. A” she answered back with a gentle smile.
“It's about your dad, dear—” Immediately Lily frowned upon her words. “He's being worried lately about the family…about you and your brother, Jake”
Lily shifted her angry gaze towards the Glowing light on the wall.“Now he's worried? why? he never gave us a single attention because he doesn't care—”.
MRS age seized Lily's palm as she heats it with hers, “He cares, dear. Your father wants his family, he created memories, spend his unforgettable moments with—”
Lily dived into MRS age's words, “Those family he seeks for is gone” she retorted trying not to boost her voice loudly. “Mom pleaded with him not to leave, but…he ignored her, he promised to return earlier but he never did. Sometimes I wish he wasn't my dad”.
Lily broke down into tears, Mrs age cuddles her on the head gently feeling heartbroken for the young lady. “Lily…your dad accepted he made the biggest mistake of his life, he was driven by greed throwing away his precious Emerald— for my sake, please forgive your dad”.
MRS Age pleaded once more, “If he's sorry, he would be here pleading himself and not sending you, Lily said calmly as she urged herself rapidly towards her room, banging the door at Mrs age who just contemplated at her.
“Poor little girl—”

Meanwhile, behind the door, Lily rested her back upon the door with her eyes with tears of pain and mourning

The whole night ratified by, giving rise to a new day with a shining, warm sun smiling upon the city. Almost half of the society all moving around to their various activities, horns of vehicles filled the atmosphere with the commotions of the people.
the hospital with countless floors with doctors, nurses, and patients all moving in and out of the building. Inside a Ward number 28 at the entrance, Beavis already dozed off on the metal chair placed beside the sickbed. Moments departed, the young girl plopping on the sick bed opened her eyes slowly, trying to regain her senses and feeling hurt in the eyes by the rays of the sun.
“Beavis?” she called out with her weakened voice.
Beavis wakens as he stood up to his feet, to meet the young girl, “How are you feeling now?” he asked still feeling afraid.
“Am fine brother” she replied with a smile, then Beavis held her tiny hand as he bussed it gently. “Where's Jojo? ”.
“Jojo is at home…am glad you are alright,” Beavis said, with a giggle after. “Am sorry Aliyah”.
“Why are you apologizing brother?”
“I wasn't there to protect you…have failed as a brother, Beavis said almost in tears.
“No…Brother, Every morning am up, I thank God for giving me a brother like you. You are not only a brother, but also a guardian angel…you are the best brother in the whole world” Aliyah confessed.
“Thank you, sis,” Beavis said grasping his sister closer.
After some minutes of silence, Aliyah opened her eyes widely.“OH NO!!!, today is a special day in school, and I got a present for you brother…what's the Time?”
“I don't know—” a doctor joins, looking at Aliyah.
“How is she feeling now?” he asked
“Sorry, Doc what does the time says?” Beavis asked, excluding the doctor sorts.
The Doctor stared at the ticking device on his wrist, whispering in a low tone, before gazing at Beavis. IIt's20 Am, why do you ask?”.
“We are late brother…I mustn't miss it” She said aloud at Beavis who nodded lifting her with his arm as he moved out quickly out of the ward, leaving the Doctor speechless and amazed.
“She's lucky to have such a brother like him,” the Doc said with a smile.
Beavis strives to create a route as he held Aliyah closer.
