"Everyone settle down", narinig kong utos ni maam clarisse. Sya kasi ang panghuling prof namin ngayong araw.
Kahit na batid kong nasa classroom na si maam ay hindi ko parin inaangat ang ulo ko mula sa pagkakapatong sa table. I was still sleepy so I decided not to open my eyes. Babangon lang ako kapag pinagalitan na ako.
"Everyone, a 3rd year student from CIC department would like to sit in with us. You can come in now", narinig kong anunsyo ni maam clarisse.
A moment later, I heard my classmates whispering over something. I still ignore it until Patty roughly shake me. Agad akong napa-upo ng dahil sa ginawa nya.
"Patty, ano ba?".
Hindi sya sumagot sa halip ay kumumpas sya sa may harapan. Napa-konot noo ako nang mapansin ang expression ni Patty. I was puzzled by her sudden reaction kaya napatingin ako sa direksyon na itinuturo nya. The moment my eyes landed on the person Patty was pointing, I frozed.
I gulped as I notice him staring back at me. Did he see through my disguise?...
"I'm Hessiah Izzac Varona", pagpapakilala nito.
Were both staring at each other when he suddenly smirked at me. I become tense and immediately move my gaze away from him. This is bad.
"Just sit on the back, Hess".
Sa lahat ng bakanting upuan na naroon ay naisipan pa talaga nitong maupo sa likuran ko.
"Nice disguise", usal nya.
Crap. I didn't expect him to recognize me this easily.
Anong gagawin ko ngayon? How am I supposed to escape from this guy?. I look at Patty helplessly, but her expression tells me that she can't do anything about it.
After matapos ang klase at magpaalam ni maam clarisse ay tatayo na sana ako ng biglang humarang sa harapan ko si Hessiah.
"Were gonna talk".
"Well I don't think we will".
"I don't need your consent".
"For pete's sake tantanan mo na ako pwede? You're seriously pissing me off. I don't want to talk to you nor accept that necklace. If you understand that then leave me alone!", pasigaw kong sabi dahilan kaya napatingin ang iba kong classmate sa amin.
He just stared at me and then look at Patty.
"I'll walk her home", paalam nya kay Patty bago ako hinawakan sa wrist at hinila palabas ng classroom.
"The hell is wrong with you? Why do you keep on pulling me? Didn't you hear what I just said?".
"I'm hungry".
"Huh?".
He didn't respond and just pull me until we reach the parking lot.
"Hessiah, dito", narinig kong sabi ng isang lalake.
Napatingin ako sa mismong may-ari ng boses. It was the guy who was with Hessiah during the incident in the cafeteria. Hinila nya ako patungo sa kinaroroonan ng lalake.
"Hessiah, sino 'yan?", takang tanong ng lalake.
I was still wearing my disguise kaya marahil hindi ako nakilala ng lalake.
"It's her. She's just wearing some sort of useless disguise", sagot niya saka binuksan ang pintuan sa likuran ng sasakyan, "Get in".
"Huh? and where on earth are you planning to bring me? Aside from I don't trust you, I also don't trust the guy over there".
"Relax, Ehlein. Wala kaming balak na masama sayo. Were just going to eat somewhere", nakangiting wika ng lalake.
I look at Hessiah and confronted him.
"Did you just say that you'll walk me home?.... why are you bringing me somewhere?".
"I'm hungry".
"Huh?".
"You heard me. Stop making me repeat myself or I'll kiss you".
Sa sinabi nyang iyon ay bahagya akong lumayo mula sa kanya. This guy is a serious creep.
"Get in", muling utos nya.
This time ay hindi na ako nagsalita pa at pumasok na lamang ng sasakyan. I don't want to be kissed by this guy again.
Several minutes had passed and we finally reached our destination. These guys just brought me at Greenwich.
"You guys find us a seat, I'll take the order", wika ng lalake na nakilala ko sa pangalang Dian.
"Ok", sang-ayon ni Hessiah saka ako hinila upang maghanap ng mauu-puan.
After a moment ay nakahanap narin kami ng bakanting table malapit sa glass wall. A table for 4 people to be exact. Naupo si Hessiah sa harapan ko dahilan kaya nakakaramdam tuloy ako ng discomfort. I hate his guts but I can't ignore the fact that he really is good-looking. Nakakadagdag pa tuloy ito sa discomfort na nararamdaman ko.
"Why aren't you removing that wig of yours? Isn't it pointless to keep on wearing that?", tanong nito dahilan kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.
"Just let it be. I like wearing it".
"Your seriously embarrassing yourself. You keep on wearing that since tuesday and it kinda creepy seeing you walking suspiciously".
"So, pano mo nalaman na ako 'yun?".
"Instinct".
Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay. Like I believe him. He probably recognized Patty and just presumed that it was me who was with her. I should had persuaded Patty to wear the wig.
"Then why didn't you approached me?".
"You keep on asking, huh?", supladong tugon niya.
"Do we even have anything to talk about?".
He stares at me for a moment bago sumagot.
"Fine. That's because I found you amusing and creepy so I just decided to observed you for a week".
"At nag-enjoy ka naman sa ginagawa mo? you even used your aunt to let you sit in in my class eventhough the subject doesn't have anything to do with your course. Your seriously the creep here", wika ko saka tumingin sa labas.
"It's your fault in the first place. If you had silently accepted the necklace the—
Hindi na nito natapos pa ang kanyang sasabihin dahil bigla na lamang dumating si Dian at umupo ito sa tabi ko. As soon as I looked at Hessiah, I noticed that he is giving Dian a death glare.
"What?", takang tanong ni Dian.
"Nothing", iritabling tugon nito kasabay ang pag-iwas ng tingin.
"Anong problema mo na naman? makatitig ka parang gusto mo akong patayin ah".
"Shut up".
I just look at the both of them. They're were like a couple arguing about something na hindi ko maintindihan.
"Nagseselos ka ba dahil umupo ako sa tabi ni Ehlein?".
Agad na napalingon si Hessiah kasabay ang pagsabi ng , "What?".
"Are you?".
"The hell? What makes you says that, idiot".
Tumawa lamang si Dian sa naging reaksyon nito,"Coz it's written all over your face".
"Huh?".
Tumayo si Dian mula sa kanyang pagkakaupo at pumunta sa likod ni Hessiah.
"Tumayo ka", utos ni Dian.
""And why?".
"Basta tumayo ka".
Tumayo naman si Hessiah. Matapos nitong maka-alis mula sa kanyang upuan ay agad na umupo doon si Dian.
"What are you doing?".
"We'll exchange seats".
Hessiah just glared at him for a moment and eventually walks towards the sit next to Dian. But before Hessiah could sit, Dian immediately place his leg on the chair.
"Hindi dito. Doon ka sa kabila".
"WHAT?", sabay naming sabi ni Hessiah.
Kahit ako ay nagulat sa sinabing iyon ni Dian. Was he purposely trying to make me and Hessiah sit next to each other?...
