“Thank you for the ride,” I said before removing the seat belt from me.
“I hope I can meet you again soon,” he replied.
I looked at him and saw how beautiful his eyes reflecting the light outside the car. I smiled at him and raised an eyebrow.
“You can ask me anytime but I can’t promise anything,” I said while facing him.
“Just the thought of being able to ask you is already enough for me,” he said and I saw how he got his phone from the holder.
“Can I?” he asked, showing me his phone.
I got it from his hands and called my number from it, I also did the same on my phone. I returned it to him when I was done.
“Get inside first. Hintayin kita makapasok bago ko umalis,” he said.
“I really had a great night. Thank you!”
“Thank you for talking to me,” he said and smiled.
“Well, I’ll talk to you again soon, okay? Good night,” I said.
“Good night, bye bye.”
I smiled before going out of the car, I walked towards the gate of my own house but before I went in, I turned around again to look at him. He was still there and waiting for me to get in, I waved my hand and went inside the gate. I walked towards my door and I didn’t realize that my smile didn’t leave my face. What effect does this man have on me?

I was just casually scrolling on instagram when I received a message.

"Did I sound excited?" I said to myself.
I sat on my bed and leaned on the headboard while waiting for his reply. Excuse me Sabrina, why the f*ck are you waiting?

"Do you want to have coffee?" 12:50 am
Lauren
"Really? Coffee? At this time?" 12:51 am
Gag* bakit parang ang saya ko? Nag-aya lang naman magkape 'yung tao. Parang tanga! Magde-deny pa eh alam ko namang pinupormahan ako. Ano ka na 'jan Sab? Parang high school girl ah? Bigla nag-ring 'yung phone ko, nakita ko pangalan ni Mat.
"2 rings pa para hindi naman halatang excited," I said.
I waited for another 2 rings before actually answering his call. My 'pa-pretty girl' self won't let me answer immediately.
"Hello?" I heard his bedroom voice.
WHAT THE F*CK? His husky voice gave me goosebumps, like GOOSEBUMPS! Sobrang sexy naman no'n Mathew, kalmahan mo naman!
"Hi," I answered, trying really hard not to sound like squeling.
"Did I wake you up?" he asked.
"No, I was up when I received your message," I answered.
"Okay. So do you want to go?" Why does he sound so lively at this time? Like Sir it's almost 1 am?
"'Wag mo naman masyado ipahalata na gusto mo ko makita," I teasingly said.
"Gusto kita makita," he bluntly said.
I bit my lips to stop myself from smiling widely even if he can't see me. I inhaled deeply before talking again.
"Okay, I'll just change my clothes," I said and stood up from my bed.
"No, don't change! Let's . . . have a pajama date?" he asked.
"Pajama date?" I said and chuckled.
"Come on, I'll pick you up in 5 bye," he said before hanging up.
"Wait! What the f*ck?" I screamed.
I looked at my clothes before running to my walk in closet. I'm wearing a nightgown for f*cks sake! I tried looking for some of my pajamas luckily I found this silk dark blue pajama set and changed into it quickly.
I combed my hair and applied lip balm. Maganda naman ako, 'di ko need ng bonggang makeup. Nagpabango lang ako ng konti tapos narinig ko na 'yung doorbell.
Tumakbo ko para hanapin yung slip ons ko, kinuha ko lanh wallet at phone ko bago naglakad palabas ng front door. Ni-lock ko lang 'yon at dumiretso na palabas ng gate.
"Hi," he said.
I looked at him and I couldn't help but to slightly chuckle from the sight. He's wearing a white shirt and dark blue pajama pants.
"Hindi ako na orient na ang first date natin ay pajama date ng 1 am," I said and walked towards him.
"Para hindi tipikal," he said.
We walked towards his car and he opened the door for me. I went inside and watched him jog to the other side.
"I like your pajamas," he said when he entered.
"Do you want me to say the same?" I asked while smiling.
"No, I prefer 'I like you' and not the pajamas," he said as he started driving.
"Calm down, it's just our first date," I said and saw how he smiled.
He was now biting his lip just to stop himself from smiling.
"Why are you smiling like that?" I asked.
"I thought I was the only one taking notes about us," he said.
"Well, I just hope you don't see this as a game cause surely, I won't be playing with you," I said.
"Oh no hon, If I can marry you this instant, I will."
He looked at me briefly before returning his gaze towards the way.
"Sounds like you really fell for my looks huh?" I asked teasingly.
But deep inside I was disappointed. I surely hope it wasn't all about the looks.
"Of course not!" He defended. "I just see you as a woman who's very . . . I don't know, intimate?"
"I mean it's okay since this is just our second time meeting each other," I said.
"Yes and let me prove myself to you, okay?"
I slightly smile before looking at the window beside me. The car suddenly stopped so I looked at him with questioning eyes. Bakit kami nasa tabi ng bangin?
"We're here," he said and removed his seatbelt before going out of the car.
I looked in front and saw a cafe literally meters from the f*cking cliff. He opened the door for me and I went out, I looked around and saw a few cars parked. The cafe was kinda huge and well built, the name was like an inside joke or I don't know. It's called 'CliffHanger Café'
"Wow!"
That's the only thing I was able to say when we went inside. The cafe was decorated well, it really has this aesthetic vibe and a very picture friendly place.
"What do you want?" he asked when we sat.
"I'll get a cookies n' cream frappe," I said.
"And a slice of cake?" he asked again.
"Yes, a black forest maybe?"
"Okay, I'll be back." He walked to the cashier to order.
I looked around the cafe and it was really beautiful. The color palette was pink and pastel colors, it was cute and very calming. I checked my phone when I received a notification.

‘The bad b*tch that's been missing in action for weeks now!’
I chuckled reading her caption since it was true, I was having my rest days all to myself, well except today. I usually ignore their plans if I want to really rest since those people don’t actually use their rest days then complain at work that they’re not able to rest at all.
“Do you want to just sit here or do you want to see the rooftop?” he asked when he arrived at our table.
“I want to see it!” I said too enthusiastically.
“Okay babe, let’s go,” he said while chuckling.
“Ay nasa babe stage na ba tayo?” I asked teasingly.
“Well, hinayaan mo nga akong i-date ka ng ala una ng madaling araw,” he said.
“I mean who says no to coffee?” I asked.
“Okay if you say so,” he said then chuckled again.
We arrived at the rooftop and I was welcomed with the cold breeze that made me slightly hug myself. We walked towards the edge of the rooftop and I was in deep awe when I saw the city lights on the other side of the cliff. I was mesmerized by the sight in front of me but I came back to my senses when I heard slight giggles not too far from our place.
I looked in that way and saw two girls looking at our side, specifically to Mathew beside me who’s still looking at the view in front of us. I saw them raising their eyebrows at me so I raised an eyebrow at them too, you’re not the only bad bitch here.
“Let’s sit?” he asked. We walked towards the nearest table and sat in front of each other.
“I’ll just get something in the car real quick, okay?”
“Okay, take your time,” I said.
I got my phone when he went out. I noticed other notifications from David, Ethan and Joshua. This f*cking idiots are posting pictures with me and I don’t even know why! What’s wrong with these people? I was out for like a week? I messaged our group chat so they will all see it.
“What’s up with your posts? Hindi naman ako namatay” I messaged.
“Nagparamdam din!” Ethan replied.
“Grabe pagka-miss niyo sa’kin ano?” I asked.
“B*tch don’t come at me like that when you’re literally out for a week without any trace!” Andy also replied.
“I’m taking my rest days okay? Magpahinga rin naman kasi kayo, parang kasalanan ko pang gusto ko magpahinga mag-isa ah?” I replied.
“Sabi ng source ko hindi ka mag-isa” David replied. My eyes widened when I realized what was about to happen.
“Don’t f*cking tell me?” I asked unfinished but I know they got the point.
“That is why I always tell you to turn off the tracker on your phone when it’s your rest day.” David replied.
I bit my lip and sighed after reading David’s message. I went to my phone’s settings and turned off my tracker even though I know they already know where I am right now. I was shocked when I felt something on my shoulder and I saw Mathew smiling behind me.
“I don’t want you to be cold,” he said and sat in front of me.
“Thank you,” I said, smiling at him.
“So while waiting, want to play a game?” he asked.
“What kind of game?” I asked back.
“10 facts?” he asked.
“Okay, you go first then I’ll follow,” I said.
“My full name is Mathew Calvin Reyes,” he started.
“My name is Lauren Salford,” I said.
Sorry love but that’s what you need to know, I thought.
“I have one younger brother,” he said again.
Our conversation was cut off when our orders came, the lady put our orders and went away after. He fixed our table and looked at me again, I stared at him but when he raised an eyebrow I muttered a silent ‘oh’ realizing he wanted me to proceed.
“Ahm I have 3 older brothers,” I said and he almost spit out the coffee he was drinking.
“W- wow!” he said while wiping his lips with the table napkin. “I did not expect you to have three older brothers.”
“Is that a bad thing?” I asked curiously.
“No but it may be quite challenging for guys. However, I’m not your typical boy so don’t worry,” he said.
“Well, okay Mr. not typical boy, you may proceed,” I said.
“I'm an owner of a business,” he said.
"Legal?" I asked. I saw how he looked at me but smiled afterwards.
"Of course. Do you know the DG-R company?" he asked.
"Yes, I mean who doesn't know- wait . . . You own DG-R?" I asked with wide eyes.
"Yes, I mean partially since it is still under my dad's name but I'm the one managing it now," he said while casually drinking his coffee.
"What the f*ck?"
"Don't curse at me Ms. Ma'am or I may have to do something with that pretty lips of yours," he said then chuckled.
"I- I don't know what to say. I know you're rich but not rich RICH!" I kinda exaggerated that made him laugh at my reaction.
"You're cute," he said in between his laughing state.
