We are on our way to a Social Gathering in a hotel in Quezon City and I’m still f*cking pissed with the dress Andy gave me. It was a dark blue velvet body-hugging dress with a high slit on the right leg. I sighed loudly to let her know that I’m still pissed with her.
“Maganda nga!” she said.
“T*ngina, ang haba ng slit nito. Saan ko ilalagay baril ko ha?” I asked angrily.
“Magdadala ka ba?” she asked. “Akala ko swiss knife lang dadalhin mo eh.”
“Gusto kita sapakin bwiset ka!” I said loudly.
“Tama na away, Target in.” I heard David said.
“I’m in position,” Ethan said.
“3 lang kasama niya,” Joshua said.
“Parking na kami, didiretso na ko sa loob,” I said when I parked the car.
“Sasabay ka ba sa’kin pauwi?” Andy asked when we walked towards the entrance.
“Yup and just drop me off at my house,” I answered.
We parted ways when we entered since her position needs to be near the exit, and I started looking for the target.
“I’m in, where is he?” I asked.
“Near the buffet,” David replied.
I silently walked towards the buffet located on the left side of the venue. I pretend to look at the food, I even got myself a slice of apple and ate it. I saw him walked towards the hallway to the back with the 3 guys while talking, I waited a few minutes before following them.
“They’re at the back, I’m going in,” I said before going in.
“I’ll be near,” Ethan said.
“There’s no cameras at the back, the furthest I can see was the hallway.” I heard David say.
“I’ll be careful, don't worry,” I said to ensure my team.
I walked in the hallway even though I can feel someone behind me, I don’t think this one is his guard because I saw the four of them went in. I did not mind him but when I heard people walking towards me I turned my back and walked towards the man.
I pulled the man’s necktie and angled my face to look as if I was kissing him. I heard the guys pass by us but didn’t mind us because of our position. I looked at the 3 guys walking out of the hallway and that’s when I remembered the guy in front of me.
“I did not expect that kind of welcome but hi,” he said and offered his hand. “Mathew . . . and you are?”
I looked at him and his hand first before accepting it. He looked familiar but I can’t remember where or when I last saw him. He’s handsome and he looks so manly, add the fact that his scent is so intoxicating.
“Lauren,” I said and smiled before accepting his hand.
“I’m sorry for following you but I can’t really take off my eyes of you,” he said and combed his hair with his hand, I bit my lower lip because that’s f*cking sexy.
“Well, thank you.”
“Have you eaten?” he asked.
“I-” I was cut off by Ethan’s shout.
“WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING SABRINA?” I closed my eyes and held my ear. I’ll just punch this man later.
“Are you okay?” Mathew asked.
“I’m alright but can you like get me food, I’ll just fix my dress,” I said.
“Oh okay, I’ll get us food. I’ll be sitting at the table near the buffet okay?” He smiled before he walked away.
“What the f*ck is that Sabrina?” Ethan asked again.
“Let her! She’s still there, stop overreacting you sh*t!” I heard Andy’s voice.
“I’m really going in now,” I said and walked towards the hallway and turned left to be faced a short hallway before the two doors at the end of it.
I chose the door on the left side and when I opened it, I saw 2 men inside sitting at the table in the middle of the room. They both turned to me and stood up.
“Oh I’m sorry, I thought this was the comfort room,” I said.
“What a beautiful young lady,” the guy in a blue suit walked towards me.
“Well, thank you for the compliment babe,” I said smiling.
“Do you mind spending time with me? Because I sure don’t,” he said as he caressed my cheek.
I kept the smile on my face while looking at his eyes, he came closer to me and leaned. Before our lips met I already got my swiss knife on the strap attached to my legs and threw it to the other guy’s leg. When he turned around to face the screaming guy, I immediately went for the vase on the table and threw it on the back of his head.
“Well that didn’t even last for more than 10 minutes,” I said as I went towards the now unconscious guy.
I was about to pull his feet when I heard a loud click that made me face the guy I threw a knife at earlier. He’s now holding a gun that’s pointed towards me. I rolled my eyes at him and stood properly.
“Shoot me now or you’ll regret not doing so,” I said, giving him a chance to escape.
“I will really shoot you b*tch,” he said.
“Good luck,” I said and ran towards him.
He tried shooting me twice but failed. Ano ba ‘to! Nagsasayang lang ng bala, parang baby bumaril. Wala ka tutok Sir?
“Sorry pre, tutok patatas ka pa eh,” I said before kneeing his nape.
“Mas magaling pa bumaril mga bata natin ‘jan ah,” I heard David said.
“Palinis niyo na ‘to, may babalikan ako sa labas.”
“Babalikan mo talaga ‘yung lalaki kanina Sab?” Ethan asked.
“Oo, bakit Ethan? May problema ba dun?” I asked him.
“Wala. Tang*na mo landi well,” he said and laughed.
“Looks like I’ll be going home alone then,” Andy said and I just smiled because it may or may not be true.
I fixed my dress first before walking outside the room, tama rin hinala ko na hindi magtatagal 'tong misyon na 'to pero mukhang magtatagal ako dito kahit tapos na ko.
"Hi again! I'm sorry I kinda fixed my dress, that's why it took me some time," I said as I sat beside the guy I talked to earlier, Mathew.
"I don't know what kind of food you want so I just got pasta and steak or do you want more?" he asked.
"No need, this is enough for me," I answered.
We started eating our food, normal lang naman. Kami lang nakaupo sa table na 'to, buti na lang kasi ayoko makisalamuha dito. I saw him staring at me intently but when I looked at him, he looked away, what's up with this guy?
"Stop staring at me if you can't meet my eyes," I said and chuckled.
"I'm sorry, I just can't believe you're sitting beside me," he answered.
"You have this bad boy image pero ang soft boy mo pala," I said and laughed.
"Anong mukhang soft boy?" he asked. "Mas mukha kaya akong next boyfriend mo."
I choked on my water when he said those words like what the f*ck? Hindi ko in-expect na malakas siya bumanat ah. He handed me his handkerchief and I wiped my lips then I inhaled the scent of it, God I love it!
"Uuwi na kami. Bahala ka na sa buhay mo." I heard Ethan's voice through my earpiece.
"Bye babe, sana all may dilig today." I also heard Andy's chuckle.
"So do you have any other business here?" Mathew asked beside me.
"Wala na, umuwi na rin kasi mga kaibigan ko," I answered.
Well, it's kinda true since my job is already done here and my team is now out of sight.
"Do you want to have coffee or something like that?" he asked.
"Just say that you want to spend more time with me. Hindi naman mahirap 'yon ah," I teasingly said.
"So do you want to spend more time with me?" he asked again.
"Gladly."
I held his hand that's waiting for me and stood up but I did not let go even when we were already walking together.
I don't usually do this kind of thing, I mean yes I do go out on dates but not literally after a mission. We walked outside and saw a black Mercedes, wow! This man is expensive.
“Do you want coffee or you want frappe or something else?” he asked when we reached the counter.
“I’ll have an iced latte,” I answered.
“Iced latte, Iced americano and a set of brownies,” he said to the cashier.
“One iced latte, one iced americano and a set of brownies for dine-in?” the cashier asked.
“Yes.” He paid and we walked towards the tables.
The cafe only has a few customers including us making the atmosphere kinda calming because of the silence and a low music playing in the background.
He pulled the chair for me so I sat and before he went to his chair, he took off his coat and placed it on my shoulder.
“Thank you,” I said.
“Would you mind if I ask you some things?” he asked as he sat down.
“No, I don’t. Go on,” I said.
“What do you do in life?” he asked. “It’s okay if you don’t want to answer.”
“Well, I work in my family’s business. Hindi naman ganun kalaki but you get the point,” I answered.
“Yup, absolutely,” he said.
“Ikaw? What do you do?” I also asked.
“Well, I own the company my father built, some restaurants and such.” He drank from his coffee so I did the same.
“Wow Mr. Hotshot, mind if I asked why you approached me?” I asked while smiling.
“Why won’t I? You literally look like someone who came from heaven,” he said.
“Hindi ka sure kung galing heaven,” I said and chuckled.
We talked there for hours and even before I noticed it, it’s already 2 am. Well, I forgot to even look at my phone while we’re talking. We talked as if we knew each other for years and I’m not complaining.
Sobrang tagal na rin nung time na nag-entertain ako ng lalaki sa buhay ko, I’m not someone innocent but I’m also not someone who can easily be committed.
“Come on, it’s already 2 am. I’ll drive you home,” he said and stood from his seat.
“Hindi ko rin napansin ‘yung oras, tara na.” I stood and walked to his side.
“Ang saya mo kasi kausap kahit ako hindi ko napansin ‘yung oras,” he answered.
“Ang daldal mo rin kasi eh, akala ko ikaw ‘yung ‘silent and mysterious’ type pero nasasabayan mo ‘yung kadaldalan ko,” I said.
He opened the car door for me and I entered the passenger seat and he walked towards the driver’s seat.
“Kung mas gusto mo ‘yung gano’ng tipo ng lalaki, magiging gano’n ako,” he said and smiled at me.
“No, I don’t like you changing. Be yourself, I like you like that,” I said and I saw him bite his lip.
“Gag*.” He put his hand on his chest. “Bakit nakakakilig?”
We both laughed on what he said and proceeded on driving. We were silent the whole ride but it was a comfortable silence. I was just watching the road and unconsciously smiling because of the man beside me, well this man surely has an effect on me and I have no plan on hiding it.
