SIMULA
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten seat belt sign. If you haven't already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And, also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position. If you have some questions about our flight, don't hesitate to ask us. Seat back and relax, enjoy the view." i announced it, before our take off.
I announced so many things, kinakabahan pa rin ako kahit ilang taon ko ng ginagawa ito. Hindi ako nasanay, o kaya'y hinding hindi ako masasanay. But being with Aeron here inside the plane my nervousness disappeared a little. I was with my friends all these years, hindi nila ako iniwan.
"Nice one!" pagpupuri sa akin ni Captain Haber.
"Great!" our purser commented.
"Thanks! I'll be back, later!" my replied, before going back on my position.
While performing the safety demonstration in front of the passengers, habang umaandar ang eroplanong sinasakyan namin ay grabe na ang kaba ko. A woman flight attendant helped me, we're both in the business class. Nawala ang kaba ko nang nasanay na makalipas ang ilang minuto, gumaan ang dibdib ko dahil sa kasama ko.
I am pushing the trolley with me, when a girl's voice from behind called me.
"Hi!" a familiar voice from behind.
I almost jumped at my stunt ng makita ko roon si Riana. Ilang years kaming hindi nagkita, I knew he's with Carlisle these past few years. That guy, has a long patience for her. I admire him, he really loves my bestfriend.
"Hi, Ma'am Riana!" I formally said. Other people were looking at us. As a flight attendant, I need to call her formally. And I know she knows why am I being formal in front of her.
"Oh my God, you're stunning, Blix! I missed you so much," emosyonal niyang sabi.
"I missed you too, Ma'am." I smiled. She didn't question me, alam niyang kailangan maging ganito sa trabaho. "Let see each other later, I want to bond with you!" I whispered.
"As you wish, FA Blixiene Cawie Valenzuela." She grinned. She's so blooming though, her wavy hair smells so girly.
Why is she going through America?
"I'll try to bring Aeron with me. He's the pilot today, Carlo was not here. He's assigned to Los Angeles."
"Sayang. So, let see each other at the hotel later?"
"Yeah, see you." I want to hug her so bad right now.
I continued pushing the trolley through the cockpit. I missed everything. All these years, we're not together. I've been working here so hard, i went college in SCU but we're not the same courses. Riana went college in Batangas University where i live. I miss that place.
Nasugbu, Batangas.. the province where I truly belong. I remembered my childhood life there, before we went here in manila.
"Here's your food, captains." I smiled as I handed them the plates.
"Thanks, Miss Blix." Captain Haber.
"Thanks." Captain Andaya.
"Hmm, welcome, Captains." I smiled before turning my back against them. I went back at the galley to help some of my friends and co-flight attendants.
After a few minutes of dinner, the other cabin-crews were on the rest station for a sleep. Kanina pa ako nauna sa kanila, dahil maayos na naman ang lahat sa labas. Ang ilang pasahero ay natutulog din, payapa ang byahe. Kaya natulog na muna ako't pinagpahinga ang sarili.
Someone tapped my shoulder. I immediately opened my eyes and Doris appeared in front of me.
"Let's go." She gestured me to come over. Working time again. I nodded at her, after a while I'm already serving a food to the passengers and the pilots. It makes me happy while serving them, hindi nakakaboring. Lalo na ang mga bata, tuwang tuwa sila sa tuwing may makikita silang mga flight attendant sa aisle.
I saw myself in them, that's me when I was young, riding a plane, waiting for the flight attendants to serve me too. Now, I am the one who's serving them, and they're now who's waiting me to come.
That's the reasom why I'm always excited to work here. I never knew that every flight attendants has the same feeling with me, most of the girls actually. They giggled sometimes, and pinched a child's cheek from happiness. I sometimes do that too, I just can't stop myself. They're too cute, to refuse.
After so many hours, the purser called me again for the landing announcement, my last announcement for today's work.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, as we start our descent, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seatbelt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead bins, thank you." I smiled at myself, for saying that fluently for the last.
"Cabin crew, please take your seats for landing." Captain Haber announced. Everytime were on our work, he's always serious! After that, he's like a child who's tantrumpsing, he hates himself for acting serious on the plane. But, he's acting made us always safe and sound. He never let us fall in danger, we sometimes laugh when he's sharing his corny jokes to the crews. Our laugh always echo-ed in the whole rest-station.
We waited for the passengers to come out after landing, before we checked the aisle, and all the compartments if ever some passengers left their valuables.
"What a nice flight." Aeron blew a breath nang makalabas na kami. Sobrang lamig, buti nalang at may dala akong jacket.
"I saw Riana, earlier." Sabi ko.
"Oh talaga? Buntis na ba? Malaki na ba 'yung tiyan?" sunod sunod niyang tanong na ikinatawa ko lang.
Umiling ako. "Hindi pa, mas lalo lang siyang naging sexy ngayon, ang galing mag-alaga ni Carlisle ah?" I smirked.
"Syempre! Tropa ko iyon eh." Wika niya, nagyayabang.
"And, I said na, we should bond later. Doon tayo sa hotel na pagtutuluyan natin magkikita, baka magcheck-in muna 'yon doon bago pumunta sa bahay nila."
Naalala ko ang kwento niya sa 'kin noong nagkatawagan kami, sabi niya they have a house in America, and she bought a new house for her.
"Wow, nice. Okay, sayang wala dito si Carlo, sa LA kasi napalipad." Nakamot niya ang kanyang batok.
"Okay lang 'yan, marami ka pa namang oras." I tapped his shoulder before I went inside the van, our service through the hotel.
When we reached our destination, I was about to stepped the ground when someone held my hand to help me, even though I can do it by myself.
"Sorry, I saw you're struggling with your heels." Captain Andaya said, still holding my hand.
"Uh, yeah. Thanks." I immediately pulled my hand, and walked inside the hotel.
I saw Riana on the Lobby, sitting comfortably on the sofa. Talking someone on the phone as I walk towards her, I knew Aeron was behind me and it was confirmed when I heard him called out for her name.
"Riana!" I knew it. He run towards her, not minding the luggage his holding of. Our co-workers were laughing at his childish moves. He hugged her tight.
"Ouch!" angil ni Riana ngunit nakangiti pa rin. "Miss na miss ako ano?" sarkastika niyang sabi habang inaayos ang nagusot na damit.
"Yes, and lagot ako kay Carlisle mamaya."
Carlisle' is possesive when it comes to Riana, when someone on the circle of our friends hugged her, he'll know it, and will punch you harder than you thought.
"Huh? Bakit naman?" she doesn't know anything about it. I don't know why Carlisle doesn't confess his feelings to her. Is he shy, or still a boy?
"Wala." Inosenteng nag-iwas ng tingin si Aeron sa kanya at inilipat nalang iyon sa iba.
"Parang dati Tutoy ka lang ah? Ngayon Tutoy-pilot ka na, astig mo, Captain!" pangaasar ni Riana na ikinatawa ng mga nakarinig na crew.
"Nanglalaglag ka ah?" he pointed at her, tauntly.
Riana grinned and turned her head for me. "Well, I'm sayin' the truth. Right, FA Blix?"
"Yeah," I chuckled.
Everybody laughed at Aeron, who's already pouting and crossing his arms on the sofa beside her.
"Oh, baka umiyak si tutoy. Let's eat, the dinner's ready," anyaya ni Riana sa amin bago tumayo.
"Pati kami?" ani Captain Andaya.
"Oo, naman po Captain! Let's go, it's my treat, don't worry."
"Just call me Rouvic." Captain Andaya said formally.
"Okay, Rouvic and friends." She smirked and chuckled accepting his hand.
We walked through the restaurant inside the hotel. We chosed the big table for us.
"Here," Captain Andaya pulled the chair for me. I was shocked, he never did this to me. Ngayon lang, pati rin ang pagtulong niya sa akin bumaba sa van. What's wrong with him? Is he sick or something?
"T-thanks," I nodded and seated on that.
Riana's the one who ordered for us. A minute later, the food were served. That was fast, i didn't even think about that. Halos minuto lang ang itinagal.
"Enjoy your food, Ma'am and Sir." The waitress spoke.
"Thank you." Riana nodded.
The waitress walked away.
I was about the put some rice on my plate, when, I saw Captain Andaya doing it for me. Hindi lang ako ang nagulat, kundi kaming lahat, except kay Riana na nakangisi sa akin.
"What else do you want?" he innocently looked at me.
"Uh. I-I can do it for myself." Tanging nasagot ko na lang.
"No, I can do it." He smile.
I just sighed and let him do that for me.
"Done, you can eat." He said. I nodded again. While eating, I felt a warm hand on my lap. Napapalunok akong iniangat ang tingin sa nagmamay-aring 'yon, Captain Andaya was smiling creepy on me, he's fucking waiting for him to look at him!
Kinuha ko ang baso, ngunit ng dahil sa panginginig nabitawan ko 'yon at nabasag sa sahig.
"Oh God!" Riana gasp.
Kaagad akong yumuko para pulutin sana ang bubog, ngunit naunahan na naman ako ni Captain. Riana come to me and held my hand, tightly.
"Hey, are you okay?" she asked.
I didn't respond. A few seconds past, and my phone vibrated, it was in my pocket.
"I'll just answer this." Hindi ko na hinintay pa ang sagot niya. Kaagad akong nagtatakbo papuntang banyo para sagutin ang tawag.
"Hello?" sinigurado ko munang walang tao doon bago ko sinagot.
"Hi, baby. I called just to inform you that I'm gonna kill that motherfucking Andaya for touching you."
I knew this is going to happen. This man, is really possesive at me. He knows when someone is touching me, and Aeron definitely said that.
"No one's allowed to touch my property. You're my property, mine only, Dexter Rue Herrera is the one and only owner of you Blixiene Cawie Valenzuela."
