Chapter 13 Seduce him

JANICE is not used to drinking alcohol that is why she immediately felt tipsy even though she only drank two glasses of wine. She took her phone out of her bag, then checked the call history, it was full of her mom's number. There are many unread messages as well, but she did not bother to read those. Janice has a smile on her face as she dialed Chrismith's number.
"Hello?" A baritone voice greeted her.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" Janice asked, shy.
Chrismith's forehead furrowed. He stared at the phone like he sees the person that he is talking to there. He could hear the background noises and the voice of the woman that he assumes to be drunk.
"Are you okay?" He asked the lady while fixing the papers he was reading just before. He always brings those papers with him even at home.
"I'm not." She denied.
"Where are you?" He worriedly asked Janice as he hears the background noise in that place.
"I need someone to talk to, can you come and pick me up?"
He felt the loneliness in his friend's voice, thus he accepted her request. The place where Janice was, was not that far away from him so it was easy for him to pick her up.
As Chris entered the beer house, a mess was the first thing he saw. He immediately saw the woman he was looking for and she was with some other guys. She is obviously really drunk and the evidences can be seen on her table, there are many empty bottles.
"Come with me, Miss. I will never fool you and you will surely be happy with me." The guy forced Janice when she said that her very loved ones betrayed her and that is why she is here.
"She wants me more, dude, so don't force yourself to her." The other guy grinned as he went near her.
"Leave me alone!" Janice exclaimed, annoyance registered on her face. She also felt scared because they look like bad guys. She gripped a bottle and planned to batter it on their heads if they inconvenience her again.
"Men, do not trouble a lady to any further extent if they already said no to you." Chris calmly said as he went near them.
"Oh, looks like there are many of us who want you, Miss Beautiful." The first guy said, even his voice sounds perverted.
The fear Janice has suddenly dissipated after seeing Chrismith. She felt drowsy, not because of the liquors she had swallowed, but because she felt drunk just by seeing that man's presence.
"If you don't want to get hurt, get away from here." The other guy said arrogantly.
"I said, leave me alone! I will rather go with him because he's my boyfriend!" Janice exclaimed to the two men. She stood up and unintentionally became unsteady that made her head hit the man's chest.
Chris hurriedly pulled her before her hands clasp on that maniac.
Janice almost cried. She glued her flushed cheek on Chris' arm to hide because of embarrassment.
The two guys glared at Chrismith. When they finally leave, he confronted Janice.
She suddenly felt the embarrassment as Chris slowly broke their hug. She gripped his shoulder and she acted like she is dizzy.
"You seem to have a big problem that made you go and drink?" Chris sat in front of her. She said that she does not want to go home and just need someone to talk to.
"I hate myself!"
Chris felt bad for her. He just let her talk to lighten her feelings.
"You know why?" Janice asked and he just shook his head. "I just can't be mad at my sister even though she always takes everything away from me!"
He felt at fault because he believes that he is the reason why this happened to her.
"You know that I like you, right?" Janice did not know how she managed to confessed that. All she knows is that she is hoping that she will have a chance to be chosen as his bride on that wedding.
Chris could not answer her. He also felt the changes of this woman, from being an introvert one to this.
"We knew each other for a long time now and I know that our relationship is way better than yours with my sister that you just met."
"I'm sorry—" he was about to explain but she cut him off.
"Our companies will be better and your works will be easier if you will marry me."
She does not want him to say anything unless she had said everything that could change his mind.
"My sis doesn't even know how to do any household chores. She will just use you to hurt me like she always does." She continues to discourage him to like her sister.
"Enough, you're just drunk!" He took the bottle from her when she seems to drink its remaining alcohol.
Janice tried to get rid of his grip on her hands. She got irritated as she felt that Chris does not believe in what she was saying. "You treasure our friendship, right?"
Chrismith could smell alcohol from her. His mother called him and she was very mad at him. Like what he expected, she does not want him to marry Janice' sister.
"Why did you choose her, huh?" She asked the man when he has not answered her first question.
"I'm sorry, but I can't answer that yet." He gently explained to Janice.
Janice smiled bitterly. She grabbed one bottle and gave it to him. "Think of this as our celebration on your wedding with my sis."
Chris accepted it and just listened to her sayings about her sister.
"I-I don't wanna go home!" The woman said. "Please, don't bring me home. I don't want my parents to see me like this, a miserable one, especially that Nica."
"Yes, if that's what you want, but you should stop drinking. It's bad for your health and you're not used to it." His voice is full of worry.
Janice smiled sweetly knowing that he is concerned about her. She can feel the essence of alcohol inside her body, but she knows what she is doing. She needed to stay up for her plans.
Chris helped her to stand up. He held her on her waist to support her in walking.
Janice got more disappointed because she anticipated him to carry her. Then, something came through her mind. She pretended to
but he was strong enough to make her stand still.
Chrismith brought her to the nearest hotel, then get her a room for her.
"You sure, Sir? You will not rent a room with a king size bed?"
"No. I just want a good for one person room, for her." Chris said. He knows that there are some bad thoughts playing with the receptionist' mind.
"Okay, Sir."
He went near to her as they checked in and helped her to get in the elevator.
"Please stay!" Janice exclaimed. She tightly entwined her arms on his nape as he removed his arm from her waist.
Chrismith is not dull-witted to not understand what the lady wants to happen. He is just a man and he has weaknesses too.
"Janice, stop!" He avoided the kiss that Janice attempted. "You're drunk and I don't want to take advantage of you. I don't want you to regret it."
"No, I'm not drunk!" She tightened her grip on his neck even though he forced her to let him go. "Just for tonight, I wanna show how much I love you!"
Chris closed his eyes as Janice' lips touched his neck. He did not expect her to have a talent for awakening his libido. He quickly got affected by the fire in his body because of the alcohol he drank. As the kisses crept on his jawline, he struggled to control himself not to kiss her red luscious lips. He did not want this to continue because he is thinking about his bride, Nica Joy. As that thought entered his mind, he finally loosened Janice' grip.
"I'm sorry Janice, but I don't want to lose our friendship. I treasure it so much. The thing between your sister and I is just for the sake of business. This is also one of the reasons why I chose her over you." He slowly explained for her to not be offended.
Janice got deeply hurt because of what he said. But she does not want to doubt him. "You didn't choose her because you like her, right?"
Chris could not find an answer to her question. "It's a personal matter and I hope that you'll just understand me." He caressed her hair to cheer her up and avoid her from insisting on what she wanted.
"Will you accompany me until I sleep?" She requested.
Chris stared at the long sofa over the small living room. He thinks that his body size would fit there, so he just nodded to make her sleep already.
