During dinner, mom and dad talk about things but suddenly, "Honey, I think your daughter has something to tell you." Mom said while looking at me, signaling to tell dad about the mail because it is the right moment.
"What is it, baby girl?" Dad asked, smiling but suddenly he turned seriously worried when he sensed that mom and I looked sincere. "Is everything okay?"
I immediately nodded "Yes dad, everything is fine. It's just that I received an email today." I said.
His forehead furrowed "What's with the mail that you seem too serious?" He asked curiosity filled him.
"Wait for a moment." I stood up and aimed to get the envelope but I stopped.
"Can it wait for later? We're still having our dinner." He said in a serious tone.
I smile "No dad. It can't." I said and ran towards the living room.
I immediately took the envelope and when I came back to the dining room, I handed it to dad.
I started eating while he was reading it. "Goodness! Is this real?" He asked, shocked.
I shrugged "I don't know, but it has the seal and the symbol. So I guess it is."
He looked at me in concern "Do you want to join?" He asked.
I took a deep breath "It depends on you dad. Do you want me to join?" I asked back, smiling softly.
"Baby girl, if you wanted to join, then I will support you all the way. Just make sure that you have to take good care of yourself." As always my ever-supportive dad "What do you think about it?" He asked again.
"I don't know dad, but something's pulling me towards it the moment I touched the letter," I answered honestly, I've been sensing differently towards it, like a pull wanting me to join.
"Okay then. But I'm curious how they have reached you." He stated curiously. So, am I.
"How can you be curious if your child is too smart! Besides, she never made mistakes in any of her exams." Mom explained while smiling.
"Hhmm... you're right." Dad nodded but I could sense his worry and curiosity as well.

Days have passed and our moving up has ended. Next week we will be flying to Los Angeles and meet the person who invited me.
Yes, you heard it right, I was invited by someone. How did I know? He called me yesterday to clarify if I have received the mail. I answered yes. Then he told me he was the one who sent the letter. And he said that he's working for the Erudite Charade Organization named Alfredo Malaya.
He also talked to my dad through the phone. I knew that they talked about my upcoming entrance examination but I did not eavesdrop, just my guess.
When my dad put down the phone he said "By next week, we'll be going to Los Angeles to meet Alfredo. He also wanted to tell you that, a week after is your examination so you need to prepare."
I nodded but confusion never leaves my mind. Why did Alfredo invite me? How did he know me? Do I know him?
It seems like things were getting confusing, but there's nothing wrong in trying besides I have my parents supporting me all the way!

Days gone fast like the usual day I have had nothing more is new and today, we will be flying to LA and meet the person who sent the invitation letter. But on the way, my mind is full of thoughts.

I am not scared of thinking about whether I lose the Entrance examination or not, because I know I will be chosen. Examinations do not scare me. Just like mom has already said, I perfected all of my exams.
That is because of my power. If you think I cheated, well no, I do not cheat using my power, I studied hard. I read every valuable context book. I'm smart because I never forget every book I have read. And to think that I read the whole library itself, it's because I do not have friends and books are my only salvation to boredom.
My power of vision helped me not to forget everything. It is a gift given to me called hyperthymesia. I could flashback what I needed, and it is still fresh in my mind. I can also fast forward what may happen if I wanted to but seldom it just suddenly pops up every time I take a hold of something.
"Sweetie, can I ask a favor?" I was out of dazed when my dad suddenly caught my attention.
We have already boarded the plane and looking outside, it's already dark, most people were taking their naps including mom.
"Of course dad, anything for you," I said in a low voice as I smiled softly.
Dad suddenly turned serious "The world is too dangerous and mysterious Kelly. I want you to be prepared for everything... because your ability is very unique if someone knows about it... they might use you and I'm afraid it will happen... Me and your mom are too far for the immediate rescue."
I knew exactly what my dad wanted to say, I knew what he's pointing out and he was right.
I hold his hand to reassure him "Don't worry dad. I'll hide it the best that I can. Trust me, dad, I will stay safe. I'll call you every free time for updates." I smiled and looked at my mom who's already asleep.
I sighed, I don't know if I could leave far away from them, but I'm already at the right age… I need to train myself.
"I trust you, sweetie. I know that your ability will help you stay safe, so keep away from danger whatever it is, because your ability might also bring you to danger." He lectured, that's why I love my dad so much because he loves me this much.
I smiled "Yes sir! Love you daddy!"
"I love you too sweetie." He cupped my cheek "Now, go to sleep because tomorrow is another day for a hectic schedule." He said knowing that we would meet Alfredo who invited me.
