They got angry and attacked them. Dylan tried to protect her but he wasn’t strong enough. They knocked him down. At the process of beating him Jennie tried to help she got a dangerous blow. Immediately Rickie, Mata and Nazi appeared.
The three guys were clearly older than them but in this case age wasn’t considerable. The triplets looked mean and determined.
“You have done enough” Mata raved.
Dylan was surprise to see them. However he was glad and at once he regained his strength and confidence. He dragged his hands off their grip.
“Who are those strayed urchins?” one of the three guys asked.
“This should be the last careless comment you make” Mata said.
They taunted at the triplet. They began exchanging challenging words but the three guys were hurt most because the insult was coming from younger chaps.
“She’ll suffer the effect of your recklessness” drawing a dagger across Jennie’s face.
“Keep the lass out of this and face your fellow men” Nazi said. At the sound of that they hesitated.
“Who is the man among you?” one of them asked.
“Let not a strand fall off her head” Mata the most fearless among them warned. He’s always the first to make a move.
“And what becomes of me if I go contrary to that?”
“You will be the one to tell” Dylan said. The leader of the group got provoked and slapped Jennie. The four brothers couldn’t take it any longer. They attacked. It wasn’t up to two minutes the leader fled leaving the two to be dealt with. They were made to look like people thrown from the sky before they were freed.
“Were you following us?” Jennie asked.
“Yes, everyday Dylan sees you off” Rickie replied. Rickie Is a good looking gentle boy. He doesn’t argue much and doesn’t cause troubles. He was intelligent and ever curious to know anything.
They were startled to hear that because it’s been up to a week they have been doing that yet neither Dylan or Jennie were able to find out. Their reason was to help them when they are molested, for it was obvious that many guys didn’t like to see Jennie with them.
At their mother’s shop they saw a hunter who sampled fresh animals he caught. He was surrounded with those who were interested in buying it. He made a good sell of it.
“Why don’t we try hunting?” Nazi asked the brothers.
“Against our mother’s wish?” Dylan questioned.
“She won’t have a choice when we have something like that to present”
“I am not in”
As Dylan refused, the rest followed even while they were not willing to. Immediately Dylan went out to look for their mother for she was supposed to have returned from where she told them she was going. On his way searching he saw his mother surrounded by a group of people. He penetrated the crowd to find out what was going on.
“Your debt increases everyday and you claim to have four grown up boys. Worthless things. All they do is use my money to gamble, please women and lavish it on wine” the man said seizing Dylan’s mother firmly.
He handed Dylan’s mother over to the security they have in their area to keep her under their custody until they pay him. When Dylan heard all that insult he felt like tearing the man apart but there’s nothing he could do. He only stared at him badly.
“Look at one of the useless things” the man uttered again, referring to him. At this Dylan felt really insulted. He had a million things in mind which he would have done to the man if he had a chance. He walked close to him.
“I just pray nothing happens to my mother, you will see hell”
“I don’t care. I need just my money. Use that vigor to raise money”
“We will pay you but afterwards you will regret collecting it”
“No regrets, it’s my money. And make it fast if you still want to be with your mother”
He rushed to his mother with pity. He demanded they take him instead but they refused.
“Please, we will get the money very soon so I beg you let being in your custody be the worse that will happen to her. Don’t do anything else to her” Dylan said to the security men but did not get answer on whether they agree or not.
