Chapter 7 - Fake husband

Veera's POV
"You're a liar, jerk!" Mr. Cabbage accused Mr. Bo of lying about everything he said to Mr. Cabbage.
Mr. Bo simply smiled and moved away from Mr. Cabbage, asking, "Why would I lie in my own house? Would you like to see it for real?"

I noticed Mr. Cabbage sweating in his face and becoming paler while looking Mr. Bo in the eyes.
"Who the heck are you?" Mr. Cabbage yelled in terror at Mr. Bo.
"I told you I'm her husband, oh wait, I didn't tell you about that yet, but whatever, now you know I'm her husband," Mr. Bo replied to Mr. Cabbage's remark.
"No, it's absurd since her husband abandoned her ten years ago! He can't be alive after that long!" Mr. Cabbage refused to believe him.
Mr. Bo arched an eyebrow at Mr. Cabbage, "How do you know if I'm dead or not? Unless you saw my death or murdered me? " He inquired in a chilly tone, accusing Mr. Cabbage.
"Are you accusing me now? Why would I murder someone? " Mr. Cabbage responded nervously.
"Who said I was going to accuse you?" But I was only asking one question? Maybe you are truly guilty? " Mr. Bo continues to irritate Mr. Cabbage.
"I am not a criminal!" Anyway, I no longer need this place! " Mr. Cabbage remarked, terrified.
"Now that you don't need the house, what will happen with my wife's brother's debt?" Mr. Bo, I have a question concerning my brother's debt.
"T-that will be paid for by your wife in another way! In any case, we'll leave," Mr. Cabbage said again, nervously.
Mr. Bo approached Mr. Cabbage, scaring him so much that he almost fell to the ground. "Don't hurt me, please!" " He begged Mr. Bo, terrified and panicked in his voice.
I can see how hot Mr. Cabbage's face is and how worried Mr. Bo is, but I'm not sure why he's so afraid of him. I just remained silent and waited to see what happened next.
"However, why would I want to injure you? "I was just grabbing this piece of paper in my pocket," Mr. Bo remarked, his voice puzzled, as he raised the paper in his hands.
I looked at the paper and was shocked to see that it was a paper cheque with the sum of one billion printed on it. I can't believe that, even though I can see that Mr. Bo is wealthy, but to foolishly put a large quantity of money in your pocket like that, someone will be lucky if he can take that much money.
"One billion?! " When Mr. Cabbage sees what was written on the cheque, he stutters.
Mr. Bo stares at Mr. Cabbage, puzzled. "What do you mean you don't want this money? I thought my wife was supposed to pay you that much for the house, or is it too low for you? All right let's make it 2 billion then," he decides, and another cheque appears in his pocket.
Wait a minute, 2 billion is already too huge and too excessive!
"D-dear, 2 billion is too much, and my brother's debt is just 1 billion," I finally murmured after a lengthy silence.
Mr. Bo turned to face me and smiled pleasantly. "2 billion isn't huge for me Dear, as long as it's for you, I'll spend more," he said.
In other words, Mr. Bo, you are a huge spender who does not appreciate his money since he is wealthy.
"Dear, I appreciate your sentiments, but one billion dollars is enough for Mr. Cabbage: he isn't so demanding with money, is he, Mr. Cabbage?" " I responded, glaring at Mr. Cabbage in the eyes, threatening him to accept just one billion dollars.
"Who do you think I am I wo-" He didn't finish because I was still menacing him in my eye. "I-I mean I will accept it since that's how much the loan was," he said.
"Oh, that's excellent then, mister, I thought 1 billion wasn't enough for you, but I suppose I was incorrect," Mr. Bo stated as he handed over the 1 billion cheques to Mr. Cabbage, who accepted it quickly.
Mr. Cabbage vowed after taking the cheque in his eager hands, "F-for this the debt is paid, I won't trouble your wife."
"That's OK, you may leave our house now since we need to have our meal, or you want to join us, mister?" " Mr. Bo remarked, ordering Mr. Cabbage and his men to go immediately but inviting them to join us for dinner.
Mr. Cabbage's face turned pale after hearing Mr. Bo offers them dinner. "N-no, we'll leave immediately, thank you and bye!" " In a hurry, Mr. Cabbage turned down our invitation and ran outside the house, his men trailing behind him."
After Mr. Cabbage had left the home, we stayed motionless in the living room, and because I had so many questions for this person, I spoke first.
"So, thank you for saving us from being chased out of our house and paying my brother's debt to Mr. Cabbage," I stated first.
"Nothing is a big deal about what I did, I simply did what I could to help you Miss," he said. "However, I have a question about the approach you use; when does it end?" Is it now or later? " I questioned him about his being my fraudulent husband.
"It's good you asked about that issue, I was intending to make it long because when that bastard went, he'll instantly tell everyone that your long-lost husband is returned at last," he said.
He is correct in claiming that everyone will know tomorrow that my so-called husband, who left 10 years ago, has returned, and those people will come to check whether it is real. That's why I was hesitant to accept the approach he proposed since I knew it was the greatest option in that moment to get Mr. Cabbage to leave me totally alone.
"OK, I see what you're saying, but what if you needed to return home? What should I tell them about my husband leaving me again?" I asked again.

He laughed at me "I just came, and you're forcing me to go, which is unfair to the person who protected you from being thrown away to your house and paid your brother's debt with money; is this how you treat me after saving you?" " He murmured, looking at me with hurt in his eyes.
I didn't mean to say it in a nasty connotation; I was simply wondering when he was going to go. I didn't mean to imply that he should leave right now!
"I didn't intend to say it in a negative way, Mr. Bo; I merely meant that when the time comes for you to leave-"
“Boon”
“Huh? What exactly do you mean, Mr. Bo? ”
He came so rapidly closer to me that I didn't see his lips were getting closer to my ear. "Call me Boon from now on, Ven," he said, whispering into my ear.
I did feel a little ticklish because of the air that came out of Mr. Bo's lips and was felt by my ear. I instantly push him away, covering my ear with my hand, and my face becomes bright red in rage.
" What exactly are you doing? And how dare you address me by such a personal name! " I chastised him angrily for addressing me in such a manner.
"How come you're the first one to address me by a personal name?" " He responded to me.
Huh? When did I call him in private—and I recall calling him darling when he was prepared to offer Mr. Cabbage two billion dollars? —” That was not a personal name! It's only a term of affection! "I defended myself by saying, "And I just did it to make him think you're my husband!" I continued.
"Even so, you still addressed me as dear, which is incredibly close, right?" " He thinks it through.
"No, it isn't! ”
"Yes, it is."
“No!”
"Well, we really need to call each other personally for them to think I'm your husband," he remarked once again.
He is correct, but he does not use nicknames! " We can use endearment! " I also argued with him.
"We can, but it's more credible if we call each other by our nicknames," he remarked again.
"Yep, he's correct Miss, mum and dad have nicknames for each other," the kids remarked suddenly in front of us.
"Why are you here again?" I ask, turning to face them.
"Well, that perverted old man is no longer there, so we decided to come out, and Mrs. Payne is already cooking dinner in the kitchen," they stated.
Will this day be quiet for me, God?
"Okay, never mind, why are both of your shirts soiled with a crimson stain? You only changed your clothing a few minutes ago," I questioned both of them.
"Hmm, this one? We got this because we buried the dead bird we spotted in your bedroom, Miss," they stated, smiling.
“Bird? How could a bird get inside my room when the windows are so closed?" I wondered.
"We don't know, miss," they said, not knowing why.
"Anyway, both of you take a bath first, and then come down for supper, okay?" " I instructed both kids.
"All right, miss, and miss, you may call us AB and AC since that's our names, but we're going to call you Miss Veera!" They proclaimed to me, then dashed back upstairs before I could say anything to them.
"It's unjust if you're just going to approve what they want, Ven," he says to me.
Wait a minute, everything is moving so quickly that I can't keep up!
"That's fine, Ven, so you'll be forced to be intimate with me," he said, reading my look on my face.
"Stop, Mr. Bo!" I told him to stop,
"I won't, I'm going to do what I want this time," he said to me.
Huh?
I have a feeling that the next few days of my life will be hectic and noisy; I hope I can make it through. Mrs. Payne informed us that supper had already been served following the events in the living room. Everyone instantly took a seat on the chairs, and I observed the AB and AC looking eagerly at the delectable meals that Mrs. Payne had brought us.

"Thank you for the meal, Mrs. Payne," I responded, expressing gratitude to Mrs. Payne for cooking for us tonight.
"You're welcome, miss, please enjoy the food," she answered, smiling warmly at me.
"Thank you, Mrs. Payne, for cooking for us! “ Mrs. Payne was also acknowledged by AB and AC.
After the children thanked Mrs. Payne, they both looked at Mr. Bo, who was still silent, and gave him a look of eagerness. Mr. Bo was puzzled as a result.
“What? " He questioned both kids.
"Don't forget to thank Mrs. Payne for the dinner! Mrs. Payne may feel wounded since you did not express gratitude to her, which is an unfortunate thing! " Mr. Bo received a response from both of his children.
It made me giggle in private after hearing the two children's simple request, and I also considered Mr. Bo's reaction to what the kids said to him. I was correct; his expression is so amusing that I can't help but giggle quietly; he looks like a child who doesn't want to say thank you and is unsure whether he should.
"If you don't thank Mrs. Payne, she won't give you food the next time!" "Both children began to threaten him if he did not say thank you.
I coughed to keep him from noticing that I was chuckling at his current position with the kids. I wish you well, Mr. Bo, and I secretly cheered for him because look at Mrs. Payne, who is also waiting for him to thank her. I hope you make the right decision, because if you don't, you'll go hungry while you're here.
"And thank you very much, Mrs. Payne, for the dinner," he stated emphatically.
Mr. Bo made a great move by saying Thank you rather than not expressing it.
"You're welcome, Sir, and I hope you enjoy the dinner," Mrs. Payne said cheerfully.
"Oh, yes, I'll enjoy the dinner," Mr. Bo answered with a smile.
Mrs. Payne then went to return to the kitchen, and the four of us finally began to have dinner quietly.
