I slowly opened my eyes and the first thing I saw is the clear night sky. The moon is in it's first quarter phase and the twinkling stars are visible...

Clearly it's not my room! It's a bench!
I can't completely understand what's happening but there's something strange I feel on my body. My instincts told me to look on my body...

" WHY THE HECK I AM N*KED? "
I sat on panic when I realized that I am wearing nothing but a piece of green blanket wrapped around my body.
" Oh, hey Miss Kat you're awake. "
I heard a soft yet emotionless voice so I look up to the one who talked. It was a guy quietly approaching me!
" D-don't you dare come near me! What did you do? " I said in tearful voice. He might be the reason why I am n*ked! I won't forgive him if he did something to me!
I caught something in my eyes and that's when I saw my clothes lying on the bench, folded neatly.
" Calm down, I never do anything wrong. You passed out a while ago. "
I look at him. He didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that I'm totally n*ked wrapped only in blanket. What does this guy want?
Suddenly, a flash of image flickered in my mind. It was him, the guy I struck with a car. I still remember his perfectly cute face with a fair white complexion with dark brown eyes, perfectly sculpted nose and pink lips. jet black smooth hair that flowed down to his forehead, lean body that is not too muscular. It was really him.
" Who are you? What do you want? " I asked in stern voice.
He smiled at me and it sent chills to my bones. His smile is fascinatingly beautiful yet ironically, I couldn't find any emotion on it. It was like a smile of a puppet, if there is such thing.
" I am Mint, and I'm a doll. "

" Sumiko, where have you been? "
I quickly make a peace sign with my hands and smiled when I heard Choco's frustrated voice.
Deep inside, I was guilty. Choco is worried for me. She might be waiting for me this whole time since it's almost midnight. She haven't slept yet.
" I'm sorry. I overslept at school. " I lied. I know it's wrong but I can't tell her the truth yet.
" Wow, Sumiko, overslept at school? Great work! " She exclaimed like I have done the most ridiculous thing ever. Thank God, she really believe it.
" Don't do that again. "
I smiled as she sat on the sofa. She really cared for me. She may not be that showy but she really do.
" Miss Kat, is this your house? "
I irritatedly look around when I heard Mint's innocent voice.
" Don't call me Kat! I told you my name is Sumiko! "
This guy kept on following me and there's nothing I can do about it.
" Sumiko, who is he? "
Suddenly, the relieved face of Choco started to be confused again. He stared at Mint in half awe and half confusion.
" Oh, hehehe! This is... " I started to think of things that would not freak Choco out.
"This is Mint, my, uh, my classmate! Right, he's my classmate! "
I quickly said hoping that Choco would be convinced but she just eyed me suspiciously.
" Sumiko, is he your boyfriend? " She squinted her eyes and look closely at Mint.
" No! I told he is my classmate! It's just that, she ran from home. "
After a long argument and teasing, we decided to take Mint in. He couldn't be apart from me. It was like there's an invisible force that binds the two of us. It's frustrating that many things actually happened but I couldn't understand even one of it.
As I lie on my bed, I remember the things that Mint said to me earlier.
'*What have you done to me? why am I naked? ' I asked him frantically.
' You turned into cat, Miss Kat. '
I shook my head, I can't really believe what he had said to me.
I turned into a cat? What the heck! I was supposed to be a vampire and not some sort of weird animal.
But...
* sigh *
There's nothing wrong with my body so I guess he really didn't do anything to me. It also means I have to accept his explainations. Cat huh?
And he...
He said he is a doll. What kind of doll? He seemed strange... No, he really is strange. He can't die even being hit by car.
I can still feel jerk vibes on him and I'm still irritated with him. But as I said, I need to take him in.
I look at myself in the mirror. Is that reflection still me? It feels like things happened like a dream. It was unbelievable yet I know it's so true.
Mint sat on the floor. It's a long story but I have to keep this guy literally near me.
I sighed. Even he, claiming that he is a doll can't explain things to me.
I guess there is only one who can answer all my questions.
I was about to sleep when I found something on Mint's neck. There are two small holes on his neck as if it was bitten by something who had sharp pointed teeth.
Out of curiosity, I climbed down on my bed and get closer to him. I traced the holes with my fingers.
" How did you get them? "
But he take my hand away from his neck.
" You bite them. "
My eyes grows wide. I bite them? But how?
" When you were a cat, you bite me. "
" What? How can I do that? " I burst out angrily. He's slandering me. I can't be... I can't do that sort of thing.
Mint lie down on the floor. " It doesn't matter anyway. Just forget it. "
I stared at him. What the h*ck!
" Hey! Sit up. " He obediently sat up. I throw him a blanket and a pillow.
" Goodnight. " I murmured before lying down.
" Goodnight? What was that? "
Tss. Poor guy. Maybe, sharing a goodnight with him isn't that bad at all.
