Chapter 5 Diary

“Dear Diary,”
“The day today is Tuesday, I let my mom wash my clothes.”
“She saw blood from my shirt, and she asked me that where did the blood came from.”
“I answered her question, I told her that we had a dissecting period in our science class, but she doubted about that.”
I read those notes of her.
I don't know what to feel right now.
“Dear Diary,”
“It's my birthday! February 11, I thought my family forgot the day I was born. Someone sent me a letter, I don't know where it comes from.”
“Dear Diary,”
“I don't know if it's true, but I saw a strange thing. The body was wearing a tuxedo, but his head was missing.”
I heard a loud knock coming from the wooden door.
One other thing, I feel terrified.
I'm the only one in here, as a result of Sammy's sudden disappearance.
“Dear Diary,”
“I told to my mom, what I saw yesterday, but she didn't believe it. Every night, a strange thing always lying beside me, but I keep ignoring that.”
I decided to go outside, because of the terrifying sounds.
“Dear Diary,”
“My cousin molested me, he said, we're going to play, but he forced me to sit on his lap, and he told me that he's going to tell my mom that I failed my exams, and he threatened me that he will kill me if I disobey him.”
I am starting to hear Amethyst's voice.
There's a drip of ink, it makes the words blurry, and hard to read.
If I am not mistaken, she's crying while writing these words.
Her cousin had an unpleasant attitude!
I can't stop my rage at her cousin, it's making me feel agitated.
If only I can find that brat, I will make sure that he will pay what he did to Amethyst.
He's such an opportunist.
“Dear Diary,”
“I am now a high school student, my schoolmates are bullying me, because I'm stuttering when I spoke to them... They said I must stop from attending school.”
My heart is aching.
I can't do anything to protect her.
“Dear Diary,”
“I have this strange feeling that someone is following me every day, sometimes it is in front of me, but sometimes it's in the dark corner, staring at me.”
I was stunned for a while.
My sight became dark, I can't see anything, all I can hear is Amethyst's voice.
“Sammy!” I shouted.
It's been a while, she didn't show up.
“Where are you? Sammy!”
I'm just like a blind man, searching for his guide.
All of a sudden, someone shakes my shoulders.
“Zhian! Wake up!”
I open my eyes.
Sammy is here.
How?
She's with me earlier, in the old villa.
How can we still be in the hospital? Am I dreaming?
She gave me a glass of water.
“Thank you, ” I whispered.
She just nodded.
I looked around in every corner of the room.
There's something in the corner at the side of my mother's bed.
It has big eyes and creepy smiles.
Its focus is on mine while grinning.
“Zhian are you okay?”
Sammy's voice caught my attention.
“It's already 9 in the evening, you need to eat,” she said while preparing our meal.
The nurse came in, she said that she needs to inject the medicine into my Mom.
So, Sammy agreed to her, but I'm not so sure about that.
I stared blankly.
In this situation, I'm tired.
I lost my appetite, yet my stomach is screaming for food.
What I read in that diary is keeping my mind to a different conclusion.
Is that true?
Or just a part of my dream.
I don't know the reason, but my rage is still in my heart.
I hate it.
People like that are such trash, they even don't know the word, “Dignity”, they didn't have respect for others, also for their selves.
If that's true, he must face the consequences.
Sammy is looking at me.
The nurse already exits the room.
“Uhm, are you going to school tomorrow?” she asked.
“Yeah, maybe,” I replied.
I don't feel like going to school while my mother is still unconscious.
It's either to take care of my mom or to leave her and to have high grades.
Grades are just numbers, my Mom is important than numbers.
She looked down, and the silence covered this room once again.
“You said, you are the best friend of Amethyst, right?” she nodded.
“Is there something wrong that happens to her when you two are both young?”
“I am not sure, but she told me that she'd always seen some strange things,” she explained.
“And...?”
“And one of that things is she had always dreamed about a man torturing something,” she added.
“Does she hear the screaming? Or the words that they were shouting?”
She shrugged and murmured something.
I heard it.
“She didn't tell me about that. Her stories were limited.”
I see.
So, this friend of hers is trustworthy.
Why? Because when you looked at her eyes, she's lying, and she wanted to keep it a secret.
“I'm her boy best friend, you can tell it to me, I won't tell it to anyone.” I smiled at her to assure her that I'm responsible enough to keep that.
“I thought, you were her boy best friend, so, I think you know her.”
She's right, I must know her.
But, there's something in her past that she didn't tell me.
It hurts, but, I trusted her to the point that I can't go on without her.
“They have an old villa, it's located to their island, but I think they abandoned it because of some personal reasons.”
Old villa?
“That old villa used to be our playground, because of the wide space, and I met her at the school.”
My jaw dropped, and it surprised me.
There's one thing that put my mind to different conclusions is the words that she murmured.
Help, we need justice.
