CHAPTER 2

"My lady, you have an invitation from the palace." I turned to Milca, who was standing on the veranda holding an invitation card. I gave it a cold glance before returning my attention to the outside.
"You can leave now, thank you Milca." I took the invitation from her, ignoring her surprise, and focused on the view from the veranda.
Where was I again? What chapter am I in? I looked at the invitation card in my hand.
I think this invitation card is for Crown Prince Dwayne's birthday party. Belle is coming to see her supposed love of her life. She will also see the maid who is with the Crown Prince. Belle hurled the maid down the stairs in a fit of jealousy, causing the Prince to get angry, ordering Belle to be taken to the dungeon and tortured.
He's a fucking ruthless person. He doesn't deserve Belle's love. I looked at the invitation card again.
Should I go or not?
--------
"Wow! Lady Belle, you look stunning. You're like a goddess with your appearance." Milca complimented me, and I smiled, feeling like a princess in front of my human-sized mirror.
Yeah! I can't deny that Belle looks like a goddess, and I know she's prettier than the female lead. Like, duh!
"Thank you, Milca! Oh, and please get dressed, you're coming with me." I said, widening her eyes in surprise.
"Really?" She asked incredulously, and I chuckled, nodding my head.
"Yes, you're like a little sister to me now, and like I said, we should always be together." I replied, and she hugged me tightly before apologizing for anything she might have done wrong.
I just gave her a light smile and sent her off to get dressed, and she happily said goodbye.
While waiting, I sat at the end of my bed and looked out into the void. How are my mom and dad doing? Shasha? Mara? I miss them. I really, really miss them.
After a few minutes, Milca appeared, looking like a princess in her perfectly fitting blue dress.
"Let's go, Lady Belle." She shyly invited me, and I looked at her, excited to leave.
Milca was wearing a blue dress that reached her ankles. She was simple but elegant. I approached her and fixed her hair. She quietly let me handle her hair, and after fixing it, I placed small blue diamond hairpins on it.
It makes her look like Queen Elsa.
"There you are, you look perfect, darling." I complimented her, looking at her watered hazel brown eyes.
"My lady... why are you so kind to me? You weren't like this before. It's weird." She whispered, and I heard her clearly. I smiled at her before answering.
"Milca, even the worst person in this world has the right to change. People change, and everything changes. So get used to it. If villains in storybooks were not given the chance to change, I'll be different. This is my second life, and I will cherish every moment with anyone." I smiled at her. "And not all villains have no chance to change for the better. Remember, everyone can change their fate." I added, inviting her to go outside to the carriage, which was our service.
"Greetings to the sun and moon. King Toper and Queen Maria." I give my respects and elegantly bow my head together with Milca and my Knights.
"Raise my child." The queen's gentle command makes me smile as I stand up straight.
"Thank you, your majesty." And for the last time, I bow again as a sign of farewell, and Queen Maria simply nods at me, as does the King. I didn't waste any more time and quickly pulled Milca away from the king and queen.
I don't need to be ignorant about the people around me because even before I stepped out of my den, I memorized and studied the people related to Belle.
"Hey! Belle, is that you?" Lazily, I turned to the person who called me. And I saw a girl, not an ordinary girl. Upon closer inspection, she had a gentle face and beautiful blue eyes. She's the exact example of epitome beauty.
"Who are you?" I ask coldly, noticing the surprise on her gentle face, which quickly turned into a raised eyebrow, probably due to my appearance. I then looked at Milca, who was busy eating cupcakes. "Milca." I called her.
"Why?" She asks, but she's still focused on the cupcakes. She's really obsessed!
"Who's that girl, by the way?" I ask her, and she looks at the girl and politely bows before returning her attention to me.
"She is Lady Tatiana." She whispers, so I stare at the girl in front of me.
Yeah, I remember her because she was mentioned in the book. She's Princess Tatiana Armstrong, the daughter of the King and Queen of Avalor, and also the sibling of one of the male leads in the story and Belle's mortal enemy because she prefers the female lead more than her.
"It's nice seeing you again, Princess Tati." I greet her politely, bowing to show my respect. "And I'm sorry for my rudeness, your highness." I add.
"Gosh!" She squeals, surprising me as she hugs me. "I'm glad that you're alright, and you're so gorgeous as hell tonight." She squeals again, complimenting me, so I just smile at her and respond.
"You look gorgeous as hell too." I return the compliment, and I see the sparkle in her eyes when I say that, before she takes my hand.
"Let's go! Let's sit at their table, kuya." She pulls me along, so I leave Milca and my Knights behind to enjoy the party. The palace is open to all of Avantia's inhabitants.
At a large table, I see the people sitting there, and based on the heavy aura surrounding them, it's not just anyone who can sit there. I know their families hold high positions.
"Guys! Lady Belle is here." Princess Tati announces loudly to her companions. She doesn't seem like a princess, screaming like that.
"Niana, lower down your voice." The man with a gentle face scolds her, catching my attention.
"Sorry." She apologizes to the man before pulling me to sit down.
"Where's Crown Prince Dwayne, kuya? Why isn't he here yet?" She asks the man she called 'kuya'. I just ignore the meaningful look the man gives Tatiana.
As far as I remember, the crown prince and the female lead are talking in a hidden place, and Belle will catch them. Afterwards, bitchy Belle waits for the crown prince to leave before picking a fight and accidentally pushing the female lead down the stairs.
"So how are you feeling, Belle?" My attention was drawn to the woman who asked me. "I thought you wouldn't wake up," she added. I know she's a bitch, a bad bad bitch.
I forced a smile before responding, "You see, I'm here still alive and kicking. So why are you asking how I feel?" I smirked back at her, noticing the annoyance registering on her bitchy face.
"Oh gosh!" Our attention shifted to Tati, as if she had been struck by lightning based on her reaction.
"What happened, Tatiana?" the man she was talking to earlier asked.
"Brother, the singer we hired won't be able to make it," she replied sadly. "What do we do now? Huhuhu. I feel useless, huhuhu," she added dramatically.
While Tati was having a moment with her brother, an idea suddenly came to my mind. I can sing, after all, to impress them.
"Tatiana, maybe I can help?" I called her attention.
"Huh?" She seemed to not understand what I meant. I smiled at her before repeating what I said earlier.
"I can sing, so as a good and loving future wife of the birthday boy, I volunteer myself to sing for his highness' birthday," I said, seeing the surprise on their faces. And besides, I need to act like I'm still head over heels for the crown prince so as not to arouse suspicion that I'm someone else.
"You can do that?" She hesitantly asked me, and I just gave her a sinister smile before answering.
"Yeah... I can do it since the singer you sent won't be here, right? So..." I faced them again and smiled. "Please enjoy my concert later on." And then I turned my back on them.
WATCH AND LEARN, MOTHER-FUCKERS, THE VILLAINESS IS GONNA SING TONIGHT!
