I woke up early to get ready. Dad is still not coming home because they may still have an outing with the stockholders. I just wore formal attire and then left the house. By 9 AM I was already in the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers.
"Good morning, Mr. Valderrama." The receptionist said.
"Good morning." I replied with a smile.
"Please proceed to this room for your interview," she gave me the room name and number where I was supposed to go. I went to the Manager's Room that she pointed out to me and I found a beautiful girl who was a bit older than mommy.
"Good morning." I greeted him and sat in the chair across from his table.
"Good morning, son. You are a very handsome young man." She complimented me, and I shyly thanked her.
"So, tell me about yourself, son."
"Oh, okay. My name is Pierre Valderrama. I'm 23 years old. I graduated from Nixxiloi Institute of Technology with a course of mechanical engineering." I smiled. I was a little nervous even though I already did an internship when I was in 3rd year college.
"Nixxiloi Institute of Technology?" She clarified. I nodded. "What a coincidence! My son also studies there." She happily said.
She just asked me about stuff and I didn't have a hard time answering that. After the interview she sent me to her assistant outside. And I did not expect what her assistant would say.
"Don't worry, Sir Valderrama. Once you get in here, we will not leave you alone as Sir Leandro told us."
"What!?" I suddenly shouted. "Oh, I-I'm sorry, but can you tell me who ordered you?" I asked. She's a bit shocked.
"A-Ah, S-Sir Leandro p-po, your father." He answered directly.
"A-Ah, okay." I just said. I thought daddy would not interfere in this matter, but he was still worried about me. And I love him for that. He's not like mommy.
I was about to leave the building when I saw Nicco. He was carrying food with a big smile on his face.

I quickly ran to a staircase near where I was standing and hid there. I hid for a few more minutes before Nicco left the reception area. I breathed a sigh of relief. I am also ashamed because I seem to be hiding from my debtor and don't want to pay a debt.
I just laughed it off. After I left the building, I first went to a tea store just near the building. I just ordered a drink and sit at a table. I opened my laptop to check if I haven't read messages about business matters.
Suddenly, Khianne called.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Pierreeeeeeeeeeeee! Wooohhhoooooo! I will get accepted immediately!! Yes!! " He said happily. I winced.
"Why? Where did you apply? " I asked with a smile.
"In your daddy's company. HAHAHAHAHAHA! "
"Asshole." I said while shaking my head. Khianne said that he doesn't want to work with any companies except my dad's. He literally told dad that he should have special treatment. What a mess.
"How' bout your interview, dude? Did it go well? " He asked.
"Yes, it doesn't that hard." I answered confidently.
"Eh, how about Nicco?"
I was suddenly taken aback by what he said! Argh! I remember last night again!!
"Hey! What happened to you? HAHAHAHAHA! " He laughed and laughed. He must have noticed that I was stunned.
"W-What..." That was all I could say. I'm kinda nervous though.
"What "What'? Why what happened to you, huh ?! " He asked suspiciously. I was shaken!
"N-Nothing, ah." I answered suspiciously, and he obviously did not believe me because he just laughed out loud. "Alright. I still have work to do, bye! " I said and cut off the call. Seeing in front of me...
"Nicco, oh, gosh!" I said in shock because as soon as I dropped the call, Nicco was in front of me. I didn't even notice him sitting in front of me!
"Hi!" He greeted me. I didn't reply and just stared at my laptop.
"Hey, I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for what I did. I'm just... I'm just really drunk. I'm sorry." He sincerely apologized. I still don't pay attention to him. Not because I hate him, but because I feel awkward! I do not know how to act in front of him! I'm not used to us being like this. Likewise, I used to say that every time we meet we will laugh immediately, and it is not really like this.
"Hey, can you talk to me?" He said as his lips pouted and seemed to beg.
"Talk to you." I simply said without looking at him and still looking at my laptop.
"Pierre..." He said as if he's losing his hope now. "I'm really sorry, okay? Please, forgive me, please, please??" He pleaded, and who am I to reject his cuteness when pleading.
"Fine!"
What the eff? Did I just say that he's cute!? Tsh!
"Great! So, you want me to treat you to a snack? Or another drink? Hmm?" He excitedly said.
"I want some cake." I said in monotone. Not feeling excited at all, unlike him.
"Okay, got it!" He said and quickly stood up to order. I just shook my head. I never thought Nicco had two personalities. Just last night I didn't seem to know him anymore because of his actions, but now he looks like a child! Frustrating!
I closed my laptop because I was bored. It took a long time for Nicco to return holding two cakes. One for him and one for me. He also ordered an additional drink because the one I bought earlier is almost empty.
"So, where did you apply?" He asked, pertaining to my work. Actually, Nicco suggested to me companies I could apply to. So he really helped me a lot. If he was just a woman, I might have been in a relationship with him for a long time.
No, Pierre! Stop thinking about that! He will never be a girl! Argh!
"A-Ahm, in Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers." I replied and he was surprised. I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "What's wrong?" I asked in astonishment.
"No, nothing, hehehe." He answered and sipped on his drink.
We didn't talk much because even though he didn't say I knew he also felt awkwardness and shame. He is not alone. I will admit, it had a big impact on me when Nicco told me that he liked me. I don't know if I like him or not because I really know in myself that I am straight. Hayst.
"You want to go to the park?" He suddenly invited me.
"What?"
"I'm asking you if you want to go to the park?" He smiled.
Great. I also want a place that can ease my thoughts. I will just think that Nicco is not with me.
"Okay." I replied.
I got in my car, and he got on his motorbike. We arrived at the park almost at the same time. This park is where Nicco and I went when I still had an issue about mom. Now I'm pretty okay. Moved on well. I don't know about dad. I don't know if he already moved on, and for Nixx... he still doesn't know everything that happened. He just thought it was just a simple fight between dad and mom. He thought that mom got angry, so she left. Poor Nixx.
"Thoughts?"
"Huh? What 'thoughts'?" I asked him, wondering.
"It seems that you are thinking deeply. You can share it with me. Just like before, hehehe." He offered.
"No, I just remembered something." I answered.
I am currently watching the children playing with their mothers. They were so lucky that they experienced that because Nixx never even experienced such things, I was even lucky because I experienced those things.
"You remembered your mother?" He asked again and I nodded.
"I still remember back then. My mom and dad almost divorced." Suddenly, he told a story. That's why I looked at him.
"My dad said he fell out of love while my mom said that she was very tired of daddy." He uttered while laughing a bit. "They always fight even when I am in front of them. In those days, I thought it was either I would lose my mother or my father. Hahahaha, I don't know."
"I once thought of rebelling. They don't pay attention to me anymore. Daddy is busy with girls, mommy is at work. It was really sad before. And if you think that I've experienced what those kids experienced," he pointed to the children playing, "no, I didn't. As for going to school, I was alone, eh. We're just poor when I was still a child. "
"But your family is famous." I protested and he nodded.
"Yes, after daddy got a job in government, but we're really poor back then. So, back to the topic. Because I was alone every time I went to school, I had an accident once. I was hit by a car. As soon as daddy heard the news, he immediately went to the hospital to check on my condition and when he found out that I was not feeling well, he quickly negotiated with mommy and promised to be a kind husband and best father. Mommy said she accepted my dad's apology because she said that they did not want to lose a child because of their selfishness. They have not been fighting since and our family has become happier than ever." He smiled as he looked at me.
I can really see in his eyes how hard he went through. I thought, only my family is experiencing such problems. Likewise, I was wrong because there are also people who have gone through more intense than me.
"It only means one thing, before you reach a happy and comfortable life you will first go through the painful and sad stages of life." He concludes with what he said. I felt admiration. I did not know that Nicco had this side of his personality. The Nicco who did nothing but look for a woman. Seriously, this guy is really awesome!
I still don't like him, though.
"We almost experienced the same thing, haha." I said, and he smiled widely.
"If that's the case, then we're destined to meet each other!" He said, smiling like a dog.
"The heck are you saying?" I answered and averted my eyes from him.
This is really crazy.
"Pierre?" He called me suddenly.
"What is it?"
"Can I hit on you?"
