Everyone was overwhelmed by the Chief’s revelation. Somehow, they had managed to finish their school day and even did great work. Today, they had learned two things: a shocking fact about themselves and that some of their classmates from grade seven were actually like them. It wasn’t entirely bad to know they weren’t alone—but it was uncomfortable to hang out with people they hadn’t been close to from the beginning. Each of their classmates had a distinct personality: the twins were easygoing, Kate had a bit of an attitude, Mikaela was mysterious, and Gabriel was bossy. They stood in the school parking lot, waiting for their parents. No one spoke; they just stood there, silently, as if they didn’t know each other. A strong wind blew, and suddenly, one of their new classmates jumped in front of Gabriel. They were all shocked—he had appeared out of nowhere. “Ahhh… Gabriel,” he muttered, looking at them. “On your way home, guys?” “Yeah, waiting for our parents to pick us up,” Gabriel answered. “Ikaw? Ano ginagawa mo sa taas ng waiting shed?” Mikaela asked. “Oh! That’s actually a secret,” he replied, smiling in a way that gave them chills. Something about him didn’t feel right. “Mikaela!” “Your mom is here to pick you up,” he added. “I’ll leave you guys first,” Mikaela said. Gabriel and Gabby just nodded. “Goodbye, Mikey,” said Abby and Kate. Soon, their parents arrived, leaving their strange classmate alone. They were about to get in their cars when a voice echoed: “I left a message inside your bags. Follow the instructions. We’ll be waiting,” said Philip. They looked at each other, checked their bags, and found a small white envelope inside: “5 PM. I will come to pick you up in your room. —Philip” “Are you guys alright?” Abby’s mom asked. “Yes, we are, Mom,” they answered, glancing at each other. “Mom, how does it feel to give birth to twins?” Abby asked. Her mom smiled. “Amazing. Seeing the two of you is the happiest moment of my life.” They smiled. “Mom, by the way, we already ate. Abby and I need to study for the upcoming exam. We don’t want to be disturbed later,” Gabby explained. “And tell Dad that Gabby can’t play basketball later. This is serious business—no one is allowed in my room,” Abby added. When they got home, everyone was anxious. They didn’t know what would happen but used their exams as an excuse to explain their secrecy. Philip arrived and took Gabby and Abby first, then Kate. Zico took Gabriel and Mikaela. The angels brought them to a huge white room, where they were surprised to see Zico and Philip. “I’m Zico, and this is Philip. We will explain everything later. The Chief needs to know of your arrival,” Zico said. Who would have thought they looked like that? Incredibly handsome, perfectly built, and tall. The room had seven beds, which they assumed were for them. On the third bed, two people were sleeping. They went closer and saw that the two were hugging each other in a deep sleep. “Who are they?” Gabriel asked. “Let me see… There are five of us, so they must be the missing two,” Mikaela answered. Kate was about to speak when both of them stirred awake. Shocked to see each other in that position, they pushed each other away, eventually falling to opposite sides of the bed. “Ya! Why did you hug me?” Eun Hye asked. “I don’t know, I was asleep. You hugged me too,” he defended himself. Neither noticed they were being watched. “Ahem!” Gabby interrupted. “Oh!” Eun Hye exclaimed. “Oh good, both of you are awake now,” Joonmin said. “It’s nice to see you all here.” “Welcome to Celestial Island,” Amado added. “Ce… Celestial Island?” Kate asked. Amado and Joonmin smiled. “Yes, child. You are in our secret base. My name is Amado, and he is Joonmin.” They didn’t know how to react. “We will show you around,” Joonmin said. The base was massive. It had a training ground, an arsenal with customizable weapons and armor, and an advanced security system. In one corner was a small cafeteria with a vending machine, three tables, and seven chairs. Amado noticed their curiosity. “Angels don’t eat. That cafeteria is for you only, same with the rooms,” he explained. “And angels don’t sleep,” he added with a smile. “This place is protected. No humans or other malevolent celestial beings can see it,” Joonmin added. “Where exactly is this island located?” Gabby asked. “In the Philippines,” Joonmin answered. “What?! How did we get here?” Jun-so asked. “Teleportation. You were far from home, but don’t worry—sending you back will take only a second,” Joonmin explained. Abby was about to ask a question when they saw different creatures outside. “They are elves and warlocks. We share this island, and the warlocks help us hide it,” Amado said. “We only see them on TV! I never thought they really existed,” Kate said. “This is Lilian. She’s a great cook and will be responsible for your meals during training,” Amado added. The lady seemed kind, and they smiled at her. They continued exploring the island. It was enormous, uninhabited by humans, and its exact location was unknown—it could be in Luzon, Visayas, or Mindanao. Meanwhile, demons were gathering. “How long did it take you?” Judas asked. “Gathering intel,” Andrew replied. Judas teleported in front of him, grabbed his face, and growled, “If you pull that stunt again, I will kill you!” Then he threw him against a wall. The other demons watched—they didn’t want to mess with an angel. Andrew grabbed a sword from the wall, but Judas was too fast. In a blink, he held Andrew by the neck and threw him into the air. “As if you can kill me, demon!” Judas shouted. “I’ll give you one more chance. But if you make the same mistake again, I will cut your head off! I won’t let someone like you ruin my plan!” Andrew picked himself up as Joshua approached. “Andrew, no—you’re no match for him!” Judas pushed Joshua aside and went upstairs to change his uniform. No one had seen his face since he arrived at the house. They only knew he was a high-ranking fallen angel. He was young, hadn’t grown wings yet, but he could easily defeat demons in a single blink. Amado and Joonmin began training the group. They made them run, climb, practice martial arts, and taught them to use swords, spheres, and shields. Every day, their routine challenged endurance, strength, speed, and mental focus. They learned the history of dark forces and celestial beings. “It’s been six months. You’ve learned all the basics and grown stronger. Now, you will learn to use your powers, starting with accessing our base,” Amado said. “Not having your wings doesn’t mean you’re less powerful. The power is within you—you just need to discover it. You are limitless. Your powers aren’t fully developed yet, but that doesn’t mean you cannot use them,” he added. “Now, it’s time for you all to learn and discover your powers,” he said. With one push, all seven of them were thrown into the sea. “Gabby? Gabby?” Abby called. “I’m here,” he replied. “Is everyone okay?” Gabriel asked. “Yes, we are,” everyone responded. “What do you think the Chief is doing, throwing us into the sea?” Kate asked. “I know, right? He could’ve just kicked us out inside the base,” Mikaela added. “Well, this is his way of kicking us out,” Abby said. They swam to shore, exhausted, and began exploring the island to find clues. Almost sunset, they hadn’t found anything, so they climbed the forest to reach the peak. Hunger and thirst gnawed at them. Jun-so reached the peak first. “There’s nothing here,” he said. As he helped Gabriel climb, the land shook violently. The peak split, triggering a landslide. Jun-so was hit by a tree, nearly falling off the mountain, but Gabriel caught his hand. “Hold on tight. I’ll pull you out,” Gabriel said. Gabby pulled with all his strength, but the land shook again. Gabriel grabbed him, while the girls held onto Gabriel. “Pull!” Gabby shouted. “Pull harder!” he added. A massive tree fell toward them. “The tree is falling!” Eun Hye shouted. “Pull harder!” Kate shouted. They narrowly escaped, rolling down the mountain. They passed through rocks as if they were ghosts. Scratches and wounds began to heal immediately. “Ahh, my leg is broken!” Gabby cried. His leg twisted, then began healing. “Whoaaa!” they exclaimed. “This is crazy,” Gabby added. “And creepy,” Mikaela added. “Did we go through that wall?” Abby asked. “Jun-so, your eyes turned blue,” Eun Hye said. The huge cut on his face healed instantly. Everyone stared—they had never seen him so serious. Jun-so closed his eyes and jumped into the wall. “Where did he go?” Kate asked. “Jun-so! Jun-so!!!” they shouted. Jun-so landed on the cafeteria table. “Ugh! Uh!” he moaned but got up immediately. “Ahh, you’re here. Where are the others?” Amado asked. “He’s gone,” Mikaela said. “Where did he go?” Gabby asked. “Guys! Focus,” Gabriel said. They closed their eyes, feeling the surrounding energy. When ready, they opened their eyes. A blue flash appeared, and they jumped through the air. Like Jun-so, they landed in the cafeteria. “Ouch! Ah!” they exclaimed. “There you are,” Joonmin said. “Well done, everyone!” Amado clapped, laughing. “It’s you, isn’t it?” Kate asked angrily. “A little situation will help you bring your power out,” Amado explained. “You almost killed us!” Kate said. “Uh, no. Angels don’t die easily,” Amado winked. “Now, I guess we don’t have to send you home—you can go on your own,” he added. Their first teleport home caused a huge mess in their rooms, waking their parents late at night. Their training continued until they reached their twenties.
