“We need to think of a plan.”
Alam ni Porsche ang lugar kung saan kami nagtetraining kaya naman kinailangan naming humanap ng ibang lugar para makapag-usap at makapagplano ng hindi nalalaman ng iba.
“We’re like a Secret Agents.” Naeexcite na sabi ni Third.
Thana eyed him.
“Stupid brother.” ani Thana.
Wait… Did she just say, Brother?
“Brother?”
Mukhang mas nagulat pa yata saakin si Bea.
“Why? Hindi ba halata?” tanong naman ni Third pabalik.
“No!”
I don’t know if I’ve gone stupid. Bakit nga ba ngayon ko lang napansin ang resemblance ni Third at Thana? Even their names say something about how they are related.
Third appears to be a youthful adolescent who has yet to blossom into a lovely young man. He'd have the opportunity to smolder once his gentle cheeks had hollowed and his jaw had squared, and the boyish hope had faded from his eyes. In the blink of an eye, that crooked smile would win many hearts, but not just now. Hindi ko alam kung kaya pa siya childish ay dahil dikit siya ng dikit sa kapatid niyang babae but it’s better that he’s like this. The first time I saw him contradicts to what I’ve seen now. On the other hand, Thana's hair was curly and brown. Her eyes were big and black. Her freckles were obvious, but not overly so. She was tall yet frail, with a sweet, innocent face na hindi mo aakalaing mas malakas pa sa tatlong pinagsamang lalaki.
“That doesn’t matter now, let’s start.”
Everyone turn serious and we were attentive. Gusto naming maperfect ang planong ‘to dahil kapag hindi naming ito nagawa ng maayos, wala nang susunod na chance para gawin pa ‘to ulit.
“I’m in charge of locating where Miss Anika is.”
May ibinigay na maliit na bagay si Thana kay Ken. I couldn’t pinpoint what it is, masyado ‘yong maliit.
“If you find her, click that buttonand we’ll receive the signal.” Paliwanag ni Thana.
May ipinakita siya saaming maliit na ilaw, noong pinindot ni Third ‘yong maliit na bagay na hawak niya ay umilaw ito at nagkulay pula.
“Saan mo ‘to nakuha?” tanong ko.
“I made it.”
TInignan ko si Third, nagkibit balikat lang siya. Wala akong ibang masabi kung hindi sobrang cool niya.
“Paano natin malalaman kung nasaan si Ken after niya isend ‘yong signal?” tanong ni Bea.
May nilabas na dalawang walkie-talkie si Thana. Seriously, where did she get all of this?
“How the fuck did you bring all these?” hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Ken.
“I though I could reconnect to our parents with these but turns out, they’re too far form us so they won’t receive the message. This walkie-talkie can only be used in a short distance.” She explained.
“You’re smart.” Papuri ni Bea kay Thana
“Thank you.”
“But why can’t we just use walkie-talkie instead of this little button?”
“We can’t act too suspicious, that’s why that button is built too small so you can send us a signal in secret. Gagamitin mo lang ‘yong walki-talkie para sabihin kung nasaan ka, just say the exact place at wala nang iba.” Paliwanag ko.
Tinignan ko si Thana kung tam aba ang sinabi ko at tumango naman siya.
“Just remember that we need to be extra careful.” ani Third.
Bea, “I’m in charge of keeping an eye to Miss Alvarado.”
“Here.”
Thana gave Bea a button too.
“Click it two times if you lost her.”
Tumango-tango naman si Bea.
“Kailangan hindi magkita si Miss Alvarado at Miss Anika while we’re doing our plan.” Paalala ni Third.
“We will receive the message as soon as you click the button two times then we need to abandon the plan and think of another plan.”
“Pero kailangan walang mangyaring taliwas sa plano or else, we won’t see the sun shine again.”
Tama, we need to make this plan work. This is a life and death situation, if we fail, we get nothing and all these things will be a waste of time.
“This is a flash in a pan.” ani ko.
“So, Jelcy will get to stay with you too, right?” tanong ni Ken.
Umiling ako na ikinakunot ng noo ni Ken.
“I’ll keep an eye to Porsche. We’re suspecting him so we need to be extra careful about him.” Paliwanag ko.
“What? I’ll do it. Bakit kailangang ikaw?” tanong nanaman niya.
“Do you think he’ll trust you? Kung ikaw ang magbabantay sakanya ay papalpak lang ang plano kahit hindi pa nagsisimula.”
I rolled my eyes on him. Iniwas niya ang tingin saakin. Tsk. Childish.
“Si Jelcy lang ang kayang lumapit kay Porsche ng hindi siya pinaghihinalaan.” Dagdag na paliwanag ni Third.
Pagkatapos ay binigyan rin ako ni Thana ng maliit na bagay na umiilaw kapag pinipindot ng isa sa nagsisignal ang button. Gulat ako noong binigyan rin ako ni Thana ng isang button.
“Press it if you feel like he’s suspecting you.”
Nanlaki ang mata ko. Actually, I’m not good at doing things behind other people’s back. Pero wala naman akong magagawa. Kailangan kong gawin. Porsche, you better be innocent.
