After getting hired at Martina's office, Randell is given two days to pack his things up and to move in the mansion temporarily because travelling is a hassle for him who lives far from his new workplace. Martina still assured Randell's convenience, of course it's for the sake of a good start of working too. Good thing is, Martina didn't charge Randell for the rental as he will live inside the mansion with Nanay Remmy since he's work would be an all around errands.
Martina on the other hand is having a plan too. She has to get rid of Randell, she has to make him quit at his job as soon as possible. She still thinks of him as a con artist who tricked her grandma despite his amazing point of views in life. She listed down her plans and the first one would be a kind of setup, but not too harsh.
She grinned upon thinking about the possibility of her plan to work because Randell is like a spine on her throat. She can't breathe easily like she did before. His existence annoys her a lot.

Randell on the other hand, is on his way back to Manila just to pack his things. While he's still riding on a bus, he can't erase what Nanay Remmy said to him when he's about to leave, and it's all about Martina.
Earlier, Nanay Remmy talked to him in a serious tone.
“Son, I'm very sorry for lying but I said before that you're the last resort. And I'm not lying about Sean, he's Martina's ex boyfriend and I heard from Alina, Yayo and Kikay that Sean is still trying to win Martina again. And I know that Sean is Martina's first love. She was drawn to him despite his bad habits and red flags,” Nanay Remmy explained while she's crying.
“And they also heard that Martina met Sean while we're having a celebration, the day when I came back here at this mansion. I'm afraid that Martina got hurt by that evil again. She was also blackmailed by him before. Since you are already hired as Martina's gofer, I want you to always look after her. You should demand her to be with you even outside the office,” Nanay Remmy pleaded.
According to Nanay Remmy, Martina and her parents are not on good terms because of Sean, her first love. Their relationship started when they were in high school and they've known each other because they were classmates. She had drawn herself deeply into him because she's so in love— they're both in love to the point that they forgot the reality.
Because they're both still young at that time, they didn't know that being so in love made them neglect their studies. Martina's grades are failing and suddenly she decides to live together with Sean. Of course, Martina and Sean's parents are deeply disappointed and mad about their decision.
That time, Martina's father was sick and almost died but Martina didn't come to see him at the hospital. Her parents hated her the most because of that. They told her not to come back in case Sean will mistreat her in the future. She was thrown out of the bus, she was treated as a blacksheep of their family.
Six months after living together with Sean, Martina came back crying in front of her parents and Nanay Remmy too, confessing that she was physically and verbally abused by Sean because it turns out that Sean is using illegal drugs and practicing horrendous type of gambling. The bruises and scars all over her body are solid evidence of abuse by her boyfriend. But instead of getting sympathy from her parents, Martina blamed and even laughed at her situation. They proudly told her that she deserves all of what she's been through with that jerk, if she only listened to them. Nanay Remmy was the only one who stood up and defended Martina. That's why Martina only considered Nanay Remmy as her only family.
Nanay Remmy's concern was misunderstood by Martina's parents. That Nanay Remmy tolerated Martina's misbehaviour. After that, Martina still chooses to be with Sean again because she was deeply hurt by the words of her parents. She's not accepted in spite of her bad experience that's why she decided to stay out of her family's life. And the conflict between her and her parents, even with her siblings, got worse because of that. Nanay Remmy was sent back to the province because she had an illness that time. And a year later, her parents and siblings went abroad for good. Only Martina was left at their grand mansion with her three loyal housemaids.
Pursuing college was her last resort in order to acquire forgiveness from her parents that's why she took an accountancy course. She succeeded and suddenly, Sean came back and asked if they could be together again. She disagreed and told him not to mess with her anymore. Because of trying to forget the pain and trauma caused by his ex, she tried dating a lot of guys but none of them worked out.
Then, Nanay Remmy found out that Martina was becoming a playgirl who keeps involving herself in guys in exchange for short term pleasure but doesn't want a commitment. Nanay Remmy was disappointed and decided to go out of Martina's custody because she wants her granddaughter to change her attitude and to reflect on her mistakes. And when Nanay Remmy left, Martina finally started to change herself. She and her former college classmate decided to start their own independent accounting firm and years later, the business succeeded. That was also the time when Martina decided to stay out of any relationships because she's not in love anymore and she doesn't want to feel that again. And also, she's the only one who's managing the firm since her partner went abroad for a while to manage other business. That's her career peak and she's grateful because that made her become busy.
While she's away from her granddaughter, Nanay Remmy made up her plan. She's sure enough that it will work. To prevent her granddaughter from ending up with bad guys, she decided to search for an ideal guy. She found Randell at the nearby church and observed his attitude and he knew Randell as a good one and he's very popular because of his selflessness. That time, Nanay Remmy knew that Randell was the right guy for Martina. She followed him and searched for his information with the help of friendly neighbors and an investigator but Nanay Remmy was disappointed after finding out that Randell had a girlfriend. She stopped following Randell and years later, she was informed that Randell left his old house and after that, she had no clue of his whereabouts.
Luckily, she saw Randell again at the nearby tenement where she lives and she also found out that the poor guy broke up with his girlfriend who lives abroad. It only means that Randell and Martina might be destined for each other. Nanay Remmy's hope for Randell to be Martina's prince suddenly came back to life because of the good news. She started reviving her old plan, and now, she's in a first step of success because she made Martina and Randell meet in the same place although they left a bad impression on each other.
