Monday...
At the cafeteria...
"Ahh Eleanor! Can you please stop talking about it?" Taylor says to her sister.
"Oh come on Tay! The girls and I really want to hear it!" Eleanor answers with a cheesy smile. Since Taylor and Joey's accidental kiss last Friday, the Eleanor and the girls had been wanting to hear more about how Taylor felt kissing her best friend since childhood.
"I felt like kissing my own brother, El," Taylor replies to Eleanor in a sarcastic tone. Though inside her head, Joey didn't seem to feel like a brother anymore. That kiss was something else.
"It was so romantic," Lillian adds in a dreamy manner.
"One day you'll get a kiss from Oliver, Lillian," Eleanor says, while smirking at Lillian.
"I hope soo," Lillian answers with dreamy eyes.
"Ok, so let's talk about our next project," Taylor says to the girls.
"Mr Robert wants each group to write about loving nature," Eleanor adds, while opening her water bottle.
"Each group consist of 3 people. Have you girls pick who you're gonna do the project with?" Paige asks the girls.
"Well...Joey asked us to join his group, so I guess that makes me, Taylor, and Joey a team," Eleanor replies to Paige, causing Taylor to look at her with a confused look.
"Joey asked us to join his team?" Taylor asks Eleanor.
"Yeah..he said since the three of us are really close, he thought it would be nice if we are a team," Eleanor says to her twin sister. Taylor was in a little shock that she had no idea.
"Wow..why didn't Joey inform me?" Taylor ask in a confuse tone.
"He said you looked a little sleepy this morning," Eleanor replies to Taylor.
Taylor thought about herself this morning. Of course Joey thought she was sleepy! She didn't really got much sleep last night. In fact, she's been getting some hard time sleeping since the kiss on Friday.
"Anyway...he said he's going to come to our house after school for the project," Eleanor adds, informing her twin sister that their best friend will come to their house after school.
"Oh..ok," Taylor replies to Eleanor, before finishing her last bite of sandwhich.
A few hours of school had passed...
At Taylor and Eleanor's house...
"So let me get this straight! Mr Robert wants each of us to write about why we should love nature?" Joey asks both Taylor and Eleanor.
"Yup! He wants each of us to write about why it's important for us to love nature, and our own personal reasons," Eleanor explains to her best friend, while Taylor was being more quiet than usual. Joey notice the change in Taylor's behavior, but decided to not talk about it before they finish the project.
"Alright, let's get started," Joey says to his two best friends. The girls agreed and the three teenagers starts writing for their project.
1 hour later...
"Wohoo! Finally done!" Eleanor says while raising her hands in the air.
"Yeah! High five!" Joey high fives with Eleanor and Taylor. Joey stares at Taylor for a while, noticing that she smiled differently. Her smile was more..shy...
"Ok! Let's celebrate with pizza and snacks! Who agrees?" Eleanor ask, before both her sister and her best agreed on the idea. "Ok, I'm going to order the pizza first!" Says Eleanor before walking out of the room to use the telephone, leaving both Joey and Taylor alone, in her (and Taylor's) bedroom.
"Ok, reality check! What's going on with you?" Joey asks Taylor directly, making her felt a little shock.
"What do you mean what's going on with me?" Taylor asks her best friend.
"You've been acting very different lately. You've been more distant around me, almost like you're trying to avoid me. What did I do? Did I do something wrong?" Joey asks her best friend with concern in his eyes. Taylor avoids eye contact for what felt like an hour to her (though it's only a few seconds). Finally, she looks back into his eyes, and see that his eyes are hoping to hear an answer from her. One simple answer. He actually thought that he did a mistake that made her avoid him, when he didn't! She wanted to blame Miss Amy for her silly play, but if she did..she would have never kissed her best friend who made her avoid him. But...she wouldn't also expirience what love at first kiss was. The thought of it surprised her. Is she in love with her best friend, just because of one accidental kiss?
"Joey..you didn't do anything wrong. I'm sorry I've been avoiding you lately. It's complicated," Taylor apologizes to Joey while looking into his eyes. His stares made her heart skip a little beat.
"You know you can tell me anything, Tay! I'll always try to help you. You and Eleanor are my best friends. We always stick together, no matter what," Joey says to Taylor.
"It's not a big problem, Joe! Like I said, it's complicated," Taylor replies to her best friend. Joey didn't want to give up and decides to sit next to Taylor.
"Then what could be so complicated that you decided to act different around me? If I did anything wrong, I'm very sorry," Joey says to Taylor, hoping she'll actually tell him the truth. This made Taylor feel more awkward. How is she suppose to tell her best friend that she's in love with him?
"Joey...you don't have to apologize! It's not your fault. I'm the one who should apologize for avoiding you," Taylor apologizes to Joey while staring at him in the eyes again. The two kept eye contact for a while, before they got surprised by Eleanor opening the door.
"Pizza is here!" Eleanor chirps. "Hope I didn't ruin anything. Did I?"
"Nope," Taylor says awkwardly while looking at Joey.
