December… 10 days before Christmas.
Everything is going smooth for Taeyeon and Tiffany except for the fact that Taeyeon is still not telling her girlfriend where she live which causes a quarrel between them. It was not a big deal for Tiffany but it was for Taeyeon.
Tiffany wanted to move in with her because she’s been staying at Sooyoung’s place for a long time already. Tiffany thought that staying together at one place is cost effective and better for Taeyeon because there will be someone staying with her if something happens to her. Her intention is so pure that Taeyeon sees the other way.
It’s a Friday evening meaning it’s time for them meet with the girls. Tiffany came in with Sooyoung.
“Where is Taeyeon?” Sunny notice that the other girl is missing and that is very unlikely because the two is like a package.
“I don’t know. Maybe she’s on her way” Tiffany answer.
With the way she talks is very not like her. It is evident that they are not in good terms. Since they became official again, the girls choose not to meddle with their affair and let them resolve whatever issue they have.
“Let’s oder guys. I am really hungry” Sooyoung decided to change the topic.
The girls ordered one by one except for Tiffany who is staring blankly on the menu she’s holding.
“Hey! Earth to Tiffany. The waiter is waiting for you” Yuri calls her attention and her gaze went to the waiter shooting an apologetic smile
“I’m sorry. I would like to have a well done steak, mashed potato and a salad. 2 of each please. Thank you” Despite being not in good terms with her girlfriend she still can’t help but to order food for her.
The girls are smiling knowing that Tiffany can’t bear not to think of Taeyeon.
“Fany-ah, are you and Taeyeon is still having a fight?” Hyoyeon out of nowhere ask her that makes her friends glare at her.
“You know how stubborn Taeyeon is. I just don’t get it why she can’t tell me where she live. It’s not like she’s hiding something from me there” Tiffany is really getting frustrated that days have passed by and yet she can’t figure out her reason why.
Just when the waiter is serving their foods, Taeyeon arrived limping. She tried to shake it off but she felt something is poking her when she walks.
“Hello, sorry I’m late” She greeted her friends before sitting on the empty seat beside Tiffany who is silently waiting for her to be greeted.
Taeyeon is like testing the water on Tiffany. Checking of she is still mad at her but nevertheless she lean in to peck her in the lips.
“Hi” that is all that she can say. Tiffany just nodded without looking at her. She knows that it was her fault why Tiffany is being like that to her.
While the girls are engage with some business talks, Taeyeon and Tiffany are having a silent treatment that Tiffany is getting tired off.
“Fany-ah, I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad at me anymore” Taeyeon decided to lower her pride because she knows that she can’t win against her.
“We will talk later”
“Are we good now ‘coz I can’t take it anymore you being mad at me for 3 days. I miss you so much” Tiffany finally look at her and she regretted it instantly seeing Taeyeon with a teary eyes.
“It’s your fault why we are like this. I’m not mad at you anymore but more of disappointed” Tiffany touch her face that makes the other girl hug her tight whispering ‘I love you’, ‘sorry’, and ‘ I miss you’.
Afraid that she might have an attack, Tiffany stops her “We’re good now. Come on finish your food” She helps her slice the meat and feed her.
In the middle of their dinner as when they are going back to normal, the last person that they wanted to see especially for Taeyeon walks in to their table.
The girls didn’t focus on him, instead they are looking at Taeyeon.
“What the heck are you doing here, Nickhun?” Tiffany angrily stood up asking him. Just when everything feels so right again here he comes to destroy it yet again.
“Look, I am not her to cause you any trouble. Tiff, can we talk just for a seconds?” Nickhun doesn’t mind the glare that he is receiving from all the girls.
“You two are already talking. Just tell her what you want to tell her” Taeyeon interrupted him because her blood is really boiling seeing that man.
Nickhun didn’t bother looking at her because he doesn’t have much time arguing with Taeyeon “Tiff, please can we talk. Just the two of us. It is really about something important”
Tiffany just wanted to end it so she agree knowing that it will cause her another fight with Taeyeon.
Tiffany and Nickhun went to the entrance, away from their friends “What do you want to tell me that you choose to come here” Tiffany doesn’t want to beat around the bush.
“This is the only way for me to get a hold of you. Tiff, you need to go home. The Young Corporation is in trouble. Michelle can’t handle it alone. We can’t handle it alone. We need you”
“Why me? Dad is there to help the two of you. And besides I don’t wanna go home anymore”
“Tiffany, listen. Your dad is sick. Stage 4 brain cancer”
Tiffany almost lose her balance. She’s mad at her father. She doesn’t want to acquainted to him but knowing that he’s dying is a different story.
“Like I will believe you. Stop playing games with me just to force me to marry you. Besides if he is really that sick, Michelle would have called me already” Tiffany has the urge to believe him but there is also a part of her wanting not to.
“She will be here soon. She ask me to meet you because I have to settle some problems in our office her. I will be going back home in 3 days. I hope you will come with me by then. Just ask your sister. And for the record I am already engage to my bestfriend” Nickhun inform her before leaving her alone.
Tiffany return inside still bothered  by what Nickhun told her. She’s debating weather to believe him or not. Will she trust him or not. She fixed herself before going back to their table.
“Where is he? What did he tell you?” Taeyeon bombarded her with questions.
“He left. It was just about work. They wanted me to come back for work but I told him I am not going back” She lied. She knows that she shouldn’t but there is something telling her that it is best to not to tell the truth without confirming it.
Taeyoen and her friends didn’t ask any further. She thought that they all believe her story but little did she know is that Taeyeon is not buying it and just waiting for them to be alone to ask her once more.
Later that night, Taeyeon notice that Tiffany is spacing out after her talk with Nickhun. She can sense that Tiffany is lying to her. There is something that Nickhun must've tell her that makes her like that. She hate it when someone lies to her.
"I know you're lying. Nickhun must have told you something that you don't want to tell me"
"Can you please stop. I don't wanna argue with you"
"Then tell me! What did he tell you?"
"I already told you! What else do you want me to say? Taeyeon i am so tired of you being like this!" The moment that escape her mouth, instant regret clouded her mind when she saw the hurt in Taeyeon's eyes "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that"
Taeyeon wanted to jump out of her car. She wanted to escape the hurt that is boiling inside her. Hearing that from the person she loves the most is so painful that she just wanted to runaway.
"Stop the car" A soft pleading voice comes of her mouth but Tiffany seems not to catch what she just tell her "I said stop this damn car!" Tiffany almost jumps in to her seat when Taeyeon suddenly shouted.
"Tae, can we just talk about it. I'm sorry. I swear i didn't mean that"
"No need. I get it. I know no one wants to be with someone so tiring like me. Just stop the car" Taeyeon is trying her best not to show her weak side l. For once, she wanted to act strong in front of Tiffany and pretend that she's okay.
When the stop light turn red, Taeyeon went out of the car. "Taeyeon, where you going? Come back here. Taeyeon!" Tiffany kept on calling her but the more she calls her, the more she's running away from her.
The cars at her back is honking at her so with a heavy heart she drives away thinking of Taeyeon. The look in her face, she will never forget it.
Arriving at Sooyoung's apartment, Tiffany dialed Taeyeon's number but it all goes to her voicemail. She's blaming herself for what she did to her. It wasn't her intention to say that but the news about her dad is stressing the hell out of her that Taeyeon became the victim of that.
An hour later, Tiffany receives a text message.
From: Sunny
-I don't know what happened between you and Taeyeon that makes her come running to me, crying the hell out of her. I am not in the position to jump in conclusion, but I just wanna let you know that she's safe here with me.
Tiffany doesn't know if she will feel relieve after knowing that she went to Sunny. But the fact that she makes her cry again is something that she didn't intended to do.
Problems after problems. When will it stop. Tiffany ask herself.
That night makes her restless. She can't sleep knowing that she hurt Taeyeon again. She's drown with her emotions that she found herself crying while staring at her phone.
The next day Taeyeon woke up late and unable to open the cafe. Sunny left her a note reminding her to eat before going out and she did.
Taeyeon decided to leave Sunny's house before she's back from work. It was a cold outside and she's not wearing her coat.
Her hands are cold. Her ears are red and yet she kept on walking enduring the gruesome cold of the winter season.
Taeyeon stops by the playground and went to her favorite spot that she haven't visited since Tiffany came back.
"What should I do? Why does problems won't leave me alone? What else do i need to do to be truly happy? Mom? Dad? I want to be with you" Taeyeon says while looking up to the sky. The only one that she can talk to despite knowing that she will never get an answer.
