“Fany-ah, aren’t you going to find a job or do something else. It’s not like that I don’t want ou here but I just thought that you got some potential, you’ve got your degree” Taeyeon has been thinking about that because it’s been 3 months since she return. By the way Tiffany is acting she knew that the girl has no definite plan. She just don’t want her to waste her time helping at the cafe.
“Actually I am also thinking about that. Michelle asked me to manage our office here but I still don’t know. I just don’t want to be associated with them again, especially with dad”. She’s been thinking about going back to work but not with Hwang Corporation. Then she became very attached and she found enjoyment in working in the cafe that makes her think twice.
“You still haven’t speak with your dad since then?”
Tiffany show her a forced smile “No, and I don’t have any intention to do it”
“Fany-ah, if this is because of what he did to us, I think you need to forgive him already now that we’re together again. He’s still your father after all” Taeyeon doesn’t want her to cut ties with her father because of her. Family is the most important factor in Tiffany’s life and she knows how hard it is to lose them.
“Can we not talk about him”
“Okay. I’m sorry” Taeyeon didn’t ask anymore. She just back hug her girlfriend and the other girl instantly lean in.
“Boo, I am thinking what if we add a new product on our menu and we make some renovation here. What do you think?”
Tiffany turn around to face her just to see her reaction “That is only my suggestion and I am not forcing you to agree with me”
“You’re right. I’ve been thinking about that too. Having a new menu is fine with me. That can be arranged but the renovation, I am not sure”
“Why is that?”
“The sales are quite high as compare before. But I still have to pay Sunny for my loan”
“Tae, don’t be mad if I say that I will shoulder the cost of the renovation” Tiffany tighten her hold on the other girl.
“That’s your money, I want you to use it for your self. Not on my cafe”
“Correction, that’s our money. I worked hard for us. Please Boo, I want to be part of this cafe. Say yes please”
Taeyeon knew that she needs to agree seeing how Tiffany badly wants to be part of her cafe. But taking her money just like that is a big no for her.
“I will agree but i will take that as a loan” Tiffany doesn’t like that idea.
“No, I won’t agree to that”
“Okay. No renovation then” Taeyeon loosen her hold on her and about to walk back to the kitchen but Tiffany is fast enough to stop her
“Fine. Deal but you will pay me after you’re done with Sunny”
“No” Tiffany eyes widen. Taeyeon is playing games with her now that she knows that she’s desperate to make that renovation happens.
“Why?~ what else do you want?”
“Add more the I will think about it” The smirk on Taeyeon’s face didn’t go unnoticed by her and she knew what she wants.
“You sneaky! Okay. You’ll pay me after finish paying Sunny and…” Tiffany walks closer to her before whispering “Sooyoung is having a 5 days conference in Jeju. 5 days. The house is all my mine. Want to sleep over?”
Taeyeon’s eyes lit up upon understanding what does it means “Deal!”
“I didn’t know that you will be a byuntae. Where is my cute innocent Boo” Tiffany says while pinching her not so chubby cheeks
“She left when you came back with that sexy body” Taeyeon teased  her girlfriend who suddenly blushed.
Tiffany yelp when Taeyeon suddenly squeeze her butt “Yah! Kim Taeyeon stop it”
Taeyeon act like she is not doing something to her “What?”
“Stop touching my butt. The customers might see us” Taeyeon look around them and saw that no one is paying attention to them so she continue what she’s doing to Tiffany.
“Mine. Mine. Mine” Taeyeon then tickles Tiffany who is trying not to get the attention of the customers.
“It’s yours. All yours” Tiffany peck her on the lips before pushing her away “Go back to work boss”
Just 2 days after, Tiffany started the minor renovation at the cafe. She personally designed and contacted contractor that will do it.
Taeyeon decided to close the cafe earlier than usual to give way for the renovation. She let Tiffany do what she thinks is best to do.
Taeyeon went to her office. She sat down on her table thinking about what she will add on her current menu. She then remember her mom’s pastry. Taeyeon went through her drawer to get the notes that her mom gave her before. She run through all the menu checking a suitable menu to add to her current.
Then finally she found what she is looking for and she thinks that it will be definitely the perfection addition to her current menu.
“Mom, gotta borrow your recipe. Please guide me on this one”
Before Taeyeon proceed to the kitchen, she decided to check on Tiffany who is managing the on going renovation.
“Hey” She approach her girlfriend who always smile when she is being hugged from behind.
“I think they will finish at around 2 am. Is it okay with you? Or if you want you can go home, I’ll wait for them to finish”
“No worries. I will wait for you. If you need me, I will be at the kitchen”
“Are you going to bake?”
“yes. I will try a new recipe” Taeyeon replies
Tiffany is happy seeing how Taeyeon is slowly accepting some changes in her life and that is a good sign.
While Tiffany is supervising the renovation, Taeyeon makes herself busy preparing all the ingredient that she needs.
Steps by step Taeyeon carefully follow her mother’s recipe wishing to have the same taste like hers. When she’s done with the first one, she proceed making the second one.
Outside, Tiffany is very satisfied with the outcome of the minor renovation. Her design were perfectly done by her contractor. Even the colors was also like what she wants.
It was a little over 1 am when the workers left but Taeyeon is yet to come out of the kitchen so she decided to check on her. Tiffany is welcomed by a delicious aroma coming from the oven. She saw Taeyeon waiting in front of the oven like a kid.
“Hey kiddo. What did you make?” Tiffany speak that startled the other girl who just glare at her.
“Just 3 more minutes”
Tiffany decided not to disturb her so she just started washing the dishes that Taeyeon use. But she stops the moment the smell hit her nose.
“Fany-ah, come here” Taeyeon calls for her as she transfer the cake on the plate.
“Wait. Did you just make a macaroon and strawberry cake?”
“Yes. You don’t like it?” Taeyeon is worried that she made a wrong choice with how Tiffany reacted.
“No. No. It’s very pretty. You decorated it so well. And the macaroons is so mouth-watering. I like that you used a pastel color and I am sure that it taste delicious” Taeyeon’s worry was gone hearing Tiffany’s honest review. She is really thankful having someone like her in her life who is encouraging and supporting her.
Taeyeon put a slice of the cake on the plate before handing it to Tiffany. Then she put some macaroons too. Taeyeon let Tiffany to have a the first bite.
Tiffany’s eyes widen on the first bite of the strawberry cake. She waited for her to speak before she will have a bite.
“How was it? Is it okay or something is lacking with the taste?”
“Tae, this is the best strawberry cake that I ever tasted. You did well,Boo”
Taeyeon can finally relax knowing that she didn’t messed up her mom’s recipe because Tiffany will never sugar coat her words when she knows she needed an honest opinion.
She then grab a bite of the cake that makes her almost tear up when she realize that she got the same taste like her how her mom bakes it.
“Boo, the macaroons taste so good too” Tiffany is really like a food critic that she didn’t notice Taeyeon is getting emotional.
Taeyeon did her breathing exercise that her doctor thought her before that really helps her a lot to prevent her from having an attack.
“I was thinking of making a combo on our menu. Like you can have a discount if you will have a slice of cake then our best seller the strawberry smoothies. What do you think?”
“That is a great marketing strategy. We can promote our new recipe at the same we can attract more customer. Then if they don’t want the combo, they can still order it separately with the same price”
“So will start next week. I still need to order additional supply for that” Taeyeon says as she is about to clean up but was stop when Tiffany suddenly speaks.
“What if we also include the macaroons. You make it on pastel pink then we add the smoothies and strawberry cake that we’ll call Pink Monster. How does it sound?”
Taeyeon didn’t answer instead she lift her up on the table and stand in between her legs before showering her with kisses all over her face “ I didn’t know what I will do without you. You’re such a good business woman. I like your idea. We can have our house specialty now”
“That is because we make a good business partner”
“Yeah right, I cannot argue with that. By the way, how is it going outside?” Taeyeon suddenly remember about the on going renovation.
“It was very satisfying. Let’s go outside and tell me if you want to change something according to your liking”
They went outside hand in hand. Taeyeon is stunned with what she is seeing. The cafe looks so much better than it was before.
The combination of pastel pink and purple makes it an eye-catching cafe. The counter is painted with nude brown that goes well with pink and purple. The glass window is not a plain window anymore, Tiffany added  a privacy sticker on it with the logo of Pink Monster.
Even the chairs are arrange differently that makes the cafe looks spacious. This is beyond her expectation.
“Wow. I never thought that this cafe will turn like this. It’s so beautiful. You did a good job” Taeyeon kiss her on the forehead.
“I didn’t add more because I know you don’t want me to spend a lot so I just put those things that we really need. What can you say about the color?”
“Perfect. It’s our favorite color and you found the perfect shade to compliment each other”
“Glad you like it. I want us to have a new life together. I want this to make us connected somehow. And also, I want to be part of this cafe that already became part of me”
“Fany-ah, want to know why I named this Pink Monster?” Tiffany stand straight to look at her because she knows how rare it is for her to open up. “ Remember during our final year, our professor told us to come up of a business plan withing 30 minutes”
Tiffany suddenly remember that time and it gave her a chill “You wrote in your paper about having a cafe because you can’t live without a coffee. Then you became obsess with my strawberry smoothies. You always say that everything pink is yours and that is why my family calls you a Pink Monster”
Tiffany didn’t expect that Pink Monster is all about her. That it was her. The fact that after everything that they’ve been through, Taeyeon still want her to be part of her life.
Tiffany is getting emotional, she is touch on how Taeyeon makes her dream into reality. Now that she understand why Taeyeon is so dedicated in keeping the cafe alive. Pink Monster is not just a random name but it was a new term that she create to always remind her about her family and Tiffany.
“Tae, I want to meet them again. I miss mom and dad” Tiffany out of the blue tells her that. Taeyeon knew that sooner or later she will ask her about that.
“Soon. I will bring you to them. Let’s clean up now so we can go home” Taeyeon ended that topic and Tiffany learn not to ask when she end the topic.
The addition of the strawberry cake and macaroons is a hit. Many customer commended them on how the combination blend together, according to them it is just the right amount of sweetness.
The sales of Pink Monster sky rocketed and Taeyeon knew that it was all because of Tiffany. Since she started helping her at the cafe, they manage to reach their quota everyday. Tiffany gave a new life to Pink Monster.
“Fany-ah, thank you” They are standing at the counter looking at the full capacity cafe. Tiffany slightly turn her head to see Taeyeon who is still staring at the customers.
“Why are you thanking me?”
“Because all of this happens with all your ideas and effort. It was you who really makes Pink Monster still here today”
“Nope, this is all because of you. If you didn’t fight for this cafe, we will not make it to where we are now. It’s you, Taeyeon-ah. It’s you who make all this possible”
The couple stayed quiet while they continue watching their customer being satisfied. They are smiling thinking that they are doing a job of providing good service for all of them.
Taeyeon open the counter and pick up a brown envelope that she later handed to Tiffany who raises her eyebrow upon seeing that.
“What is this?” Tiffany doesn’t like what she saw when she open the envelope “Why are you giving me these money?” Tiffany angrily ask her girlfriend.
“Look Fany-ah, I didn’t give you that to offend you or something. I gave you those because you’ve been working here with me for 3 months now. I gave you that not because i treated you ask my worker but I gave you that as your share as the co-owner of Pink Monster”
Tiffany was so surprised that Taeyeon makes her a co-owner of what she refer as her everything.
“Taetae” she hold her hand
“Fany-ah, please accept it. We both know that you don’t have any source of income and yet you kept on spending your money on me”
Taeyeon is trying her best to convince her girlfriend to accept that money. Her intention is pure, she just want her to buy something for herself.
“I can’t say anything to convince to you not give me this?” Tiffany ask
“You have two choices. One to accept it and two you will accept it” taeyeon cheekily tells her that makes her girlfriend beam her famous eye smile.
“Unfair. Fine. I will accept it. Thank you, business partner” Tiffany extended her hand for a shake hands like how they deal with a business.
Taeyeon find it funny but she just play along “You’re welcome”
“Hey girlfriend. What to have a date with me? I have a lot of money?” Tiffany shows her envelope. And the two share a good laughter.
“Can we postponed that date? Can we sneak out to the kitchen because I want to kiss you so bad right now”
Taeyeon is finally convince that their relationship picks up to where they are before. She can finally let all her worry rest and just focus on the positive side while enjoying the moment.
