Year 2017
It was their last year at the university. Only to 2 days away from their graduation.
They all decided to have a Friday night out. Their group of friends are very famous among the college students not just  because they all came from a very rich families but because of how wonderful they were as a person regardless of their status.
“Guys, I think we should do this Friday night out even after graduation” Tiffany suggested
“It think it’s a good idea. Let’s face it, after college we all know our parents will pressure us to take on their business. And we needed some time out” Sooyoung agrees
“Then let’s do it. Friday night is gonna be a girls night out. Let’s all meet here, same time, same place. Cheers!” Sunny proposes and they all cheers for that
They wanna value their friendship as much as they can. For their group, they bowed that no one is gonna be left behind and they all promised to be there for each other no matter what.
Taeyeon were oddly very quiet that night. It was not like her to be quiet whenever they are all together.
“Boo, are you okay? You seem to be very quiet?” Tiffany ask her girlfriend
“Yeah I’m fine. Just thinking” She replies then drink her beer
They all know that she wasn’t. in 2 days Tiffany will go back to her hometown in LA. And that will be the first time that she will be away from her.
“Tiffany how long are you gonna away?” Yuri ask who is now tipsy. Tiffany glared at her for reminding Taeyeon about that
“I will be away for 2 weeks. 3 weeks max”
Taeyeon knows it will be longer than that knowing her dad who still won’t approve their relationship and Tiffany won’t let her know the possibility
That night all she wanted to do is to temporary forget her fear and get drunk. She drink beer way pass her limit that worry her friends.
“Guys, let’s go home. Yuri and Hyoyeon are already drunk and we also need to stop Taeyeon from drinking” Sunny suggested
“Unnie, are you okay? Want me to help you with Taeyeon unnie?” Their youngest Seohyun offers
“No, it’s okay. I can handle her. Thanks Seo. Go home safely”
Tiffany brought Taeyeon to her apartment. When she was about to lay her down on the bed, Taeyeon suddenly started sobbing.
Tiffany has never see her like that before “Tae, why are you crying? Tell me what’s wrong”
Taeyeon curl up to her “I’m scared. I don’t want you to go. I’m scared that you wouldn’t come back to me. I know that you may not be coming back”
Tiffany hug her tight and cry with her “I will come home with you. I will always come home to you. I love you. That will never change”
Tiffany thought Taeyeon is okay with her going back home for a vacation. She thought that she fully understand her. But seeing her cry like that in her arms makes her think twice.
The graduation day is supposed to be a day to celebrate. A happy celebration because finally all their hard worked has finally payed off.
“Yah. Taeyeon can you smile for us a little” Mr.Kim told her because they can’t have a good family photo because Taeyeon won’t cooperate with them
Mrs.Kim knew the reason why she was like that “It’s okay honey. She will be just on a vacation and before you know it she’s back”
“It’s hard mom”
“I know and I also know that you can endure it. So let’s take some photo all together with Tiffany”  Taeyeon nodded and tried to smile
“Tiffany, can you come here for a moment” Mrs.Kim call her.
“Yes mom, why?” Tiffany treated her parents like her own. She even calls them mom and dad.
The Kim welcome her into their family with an open arms. They accepted their relationship without any doubt. For them Taeyeon’s happiness is what matter and most important to them. They will support her in whatever she wants in her life.
Tiffany is actually envy of them, she wish her family is like them too. She hope that they will accept her choices and she hope that they will accept Taeyeon into their family.
“Fany-ah, is this all you will bring?” They are now back in Tiffany’s apartment preparing her bags
Tiffany’s flight is later that night. After their graduation both of them decided to spend the rest of the day together.
Their friends and family understand that they needed to have some time alone.
“I told you I will be just gone for 2 weeks. I don’t need to bring a lot” They head outside, waiting for Tiffany’s dad to pick her up
They went to the playground they always spend time together just outside her apartment.
Taeyeon will always sits on the slide and Tiffany will sit on the swing just looking up to the sky and feeling the cold air touches them.
“Tae”
“Hmm” Taeyeon answer while looking up the sky
“I will be back. I promise. I will meet you her when I come back”
“Then I will always wait here for you til you come back. You said 2 weeks right? I can do that”
Tiffany cannot control her emotions anymore. She run to hug her tight while crying “Don’t cry. You said only 2 weeks. You crying like this makes me think that you will not be coming back”
“I’m gonna miss you. I will miss you, boo”
“Me too. Just keep our promise ring in our fingers so that whenever we miss each other, we can just simply look at it and it will remind us of our promise” Taeyeon says while trying to control her tears from falling
“When I come back let’s start our forever. Let’s start our forever by then”
“I love you, fany-ah”
“I love you, boo. I will never stop loving you”
One last time. That was what Taeyeon was thinking the moment Tiffany kiss her on the lips. A kiss that they didn’t what to break but the sound of the honk wakes them up and bring them into the reality of the possibility that I can be their last.
“That’s my dad” Tiffany sadly tell her
“Go now. I’ll meet you again her in 2 weeks. I will be waiting for you”
“I’ll call you as soon as I land. Bye Tae. I love you”
“Take care. I love you too” Taeyeon waves her goodbye.
When she can no longer see their car, Taeyeon finally broke down in tears. She knows that it might be the last time that she is going to see her. But she wanted to hold on to her promise of coming back to her and that she wants to hold on to her promise that she will always  love her.
“I hope you will choose us, Fany-ah”
Flashback
After the graduation ceremony Taeyeon were asked to speak with Mr.Hwang without Tiffany knowing about it.
Mr.Hwang is clearly not happy to see Taeyeon or to be with her daughter
“Look, let me tell you this. I don’t want to see you with my daughter. I will never approve your relationship with her. I hope you will understand that all I wanted for my daughter is a normal life. Soon she will take over our business” Taeyeon is clenching her fist
“I know that you just wanted the best for her. But you should also let her choose what she wants and who she wants. Just let her do what makes her happy not forcing her into something that she doesn’t like”
“Trust me. I know her more than you do. She loves her family, our family above anything. So stay away from her and save yourself from being hurt”
5 years later. Year 2022
“Hi guys. Sorry I’m late. I had to close the cafe” Taeyeon says as soon as she spot her friends on their usual spot
They kept their promise to spend the Friday night together even if the one who suggested it disappeared
“How is the cafe going?” Yuri ask
“Barely hanging but somehow surviving” Her friends sigh upon hearing that “Did you guys already order? I am really hungry, I haven’t eaten yet since breakfast”
“Yah!” Sunny yell and smack her on the head “ I told you to eat on time. You will be really sick again in no time”
Taeyeon just shrugged. She is already used with them nagging her all the time.
While she is still looking at the menu. All her friends shared a knowing look. Ever since Tiffany left and the accident happens she became a different person that she almost became a stranger to them but they don’t want to force her to go back to what she was before.
They all know that it was her way of trying to mask her pain and loneliness and that bother them. They wanted her to come to them and just let all her feelings problems go.
Taeyeon will always smile and laugh with them but when she is alone they knew she’s dealing with emptiness and loneliness.
Taeyeon is broken, sad,lonely,empty, lifeless and many more.
They wanted to be there for her. Stay with her. But she’s not letting them in. And worst they don’t even know where she lives.
Every Friday, every 27th of the month she will always drink and her friends will fetch her on the playground when Mr.Lee will call one of them. He is the caretaker of the building and the playground.
The food were serve Taeyeon quietly eat while listening to her friends talking about their jobs or business.
She’s envy of them but happy at the same time that they all had a successful life after college while her, she’s trying to stay alive and her cafe to stay alive.
“Seo, can you hand me over the sauce please” Taeyeon ask
“Here Unnie. Sooyoung unnie is closer why don’t you just ask her. She’s closer than me”
The day Taeyeon found out that Sooyoung and Tiffany still has communication and didn’t tell her despite her begging, that day Taeyeon stops talking to her and treating her like before.
Sooyoung is hurting the more Taeyeon avoided her and treated her like she doesn’t know her. She’s been asking for her forgiveness because she doesn’t want to lose her and she doesn’t want to break her promise to Tiffany either.
“it’s okay, Seo. Let her do what she wants”
Taeyeon doesn’t like the way she sounded
“yeah, that’s right. I will do whatever I want. You don’t even care about me” Those last words are almost inaudible but still they manage to catch it
“Taeyeon I care for you. But you choose not to see it because until now you hate me for not telling you about Tiffany. Until when are you gonna punish me for that. For how long are you going to treat me like this!” Sooyoung loses it. She can’t take it anymore. She wants her friend back. She misses Taeyeon. She just want their friendship back.
“Just wait til I die then all of you can be happy again. You will never be worrying about me when I’m gone. Don’t worry it will be soon when you all least expect it” Taeyeon says before she stormed outside the restaurant. She run away from them.
“I hope she’s not thinking what I think she is. Please tell me she’s joking” Yuri worriedly ask them
It was a complete shock from them hearing that from Taeyeon who is known for being the strongest among them. Her lost is still affecting her life.
Yoona who saw taeyeon broke down one day and still didn’t let them know about it is really feeling bad for her Unnie and the only solution that she knew is her.
“Unnie, I think it’s about time to let Tiffany unnie and Taeyeon unnie to meet. She knows better than all of us. And let’s face it she is the only that can help her”
They all look to Sunny who they always listen to especially when it comes to Taeyeon.
Suuny took a deep breath “ I don’t think it’s a good idea but we need to do something regardless. Soo, when was the last time you talked to her?”
Sooyoung is debating whether to tell them or not coz she wants Tiffany to tell them personally
“She’s coming back next month” It should be an exciting news but none of them is happy instead they are nervous on how Taeyeon will react upon seeing her again.
Sooyoung phone suddenly rings. Her eyes widen upon seeing the caller. She show it to her friends who are shock.
“Hi Mr.Lee”
“oh Hello. I think this is the first time that I call you”
“Yes it was. So how is she?”
“Just like before . but I guess she more sad than before. You should pick her up before she finishes all 15 can of beer”
“What! Okay we’re coming now. Thank you Mr.Lee”
They were startled when she suddenly raises her voice and they knew something bad is happening.
“Let’s go. She’s drinking way way pass her limits. 15 cans”
“What! Oh no she can’t drink that much” Sunny exclaimed and they all rush to pick her up
It took them 30 minutes to arrive and Mr.Lee is waiting for them like the usual.
“What happened to her? She’s been crying too. This is the first that I’ve seen her like that”
“We don’t know either. But thank you for looking after her”
Never did they thought that they will see Taeyeon looking so devastated after the accident. She never cry in front of them, she never let them see her cry and they know Taeyeon is on her last straw.
“Taeng, I’m here. We’re here now. Let’s go home, okay” Sooyoung calmly calls her. Taeyeon open her eyes and sat on the slide looking to all her friends.
What comes next makes them cover their mouths and tears fall. Taeyeon kneel in front of Sooyoung.
“Taeng, what are you doing? You don’t have to be like this”
“Soo, please. P-please I wanna hear her voice. I am begging you Soo. I don’t know anymore what to do. Please” Taeyeon is sobbing so hard kneeling in front of Sooyoung
Their hearts our breaking for her. Taeyeon losing Tiffany is like losing her happiness, her will,her purpose and her life.
Taeyeon lost everything and everyone that she loves are gone.
Sooyoung also kneeled in front of her as she cry along her “Taeng, you are better than this. You don’t have to be like this”
“Just this once. After this I will not ask you anymore. Please I just want to hear her voice. It hurts. I thought I can go on pretending that I don’t think about her anymore but I was wrong”
Hearing Taeyeon begging like that is hard for them. Gone were the happy, dork and playful Taeyeon that they all knew
“Soo, please. I am begging you to please let me hear her voice. Please… I miss her so much…just this once and I will never bother you anymore or anyone of you”
Sooyoung look at her friends telling her to call Tiffany already. She grab her phone and dial her number. She puts it on speaker.
“Hello~”  Tiffany's energetic voice echoed in the playground. Taeyeon finally hear the voice that she is longing for a long time. And hearing her again makes her burst into tears more
“Soo? Hello?
“Why do I hear people crying? What’s going on?”
“Hey answer me!” Taeyeon cries harder the more she hear her voice. On the other line Tiffany’s heart is pounding. She knew that cry. She can’t be mistaken.
“Taeyeon I know it’s you. Why are you crying? Please stop crying now. Don’t cry please”
Suddenly Taeyeon collapses on the ground and they all rush to her side
“Taeyeon! Oh my god!
“Taeng wake up”
“Unnie!”
“Hello? Hey what happen to her. Please somebody tell me what is going on! Sooyoung talk to me please”
Tiffany is screaming on the other line but the call just ended without her knowing what happened.
