Serena's POV
I was walking silently as I was heading home. I was too emersed reading at the library that I didn't notice the time. It was dawn already.
I was walking down the dark alley and I suddenly feel creeps. This was the part of the street were no houses are around though there are houses at the end of the street. I mentally facepalm myself. Now I regretted that I told Mom not to pick me up. As I was walking, I felt like someone will come and kill me right here and I was right. Men in dark cloaks appeared again.
"Shit," I mumbled softly. Why do I always get myself in troubles since this past days? Aish.
After the incident in the forest, Cheska didn't bother me anymore. She had hurt her ankle so much and I take that as her karma.
"What do you need?!" I bravely said.
Mom took me here so I won't be involve with Cassopeia's rivalry with Rivendell but here they are, AGAIN.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I said in my cold voice to scare them but they started attacking me instead.
I build air blades around me until it was towering over me. This will protect me from their attacks temporarily. I summon air spikes and with one blow, I released all of it including the air blades that surrounds me.
Why are they so many? I was able to kill a lot but still. We are continuously throwing attacks against each other but there's still more of them. One would throw dark magic balls into me and another on the right would throw another dark magic balls and it goes the same on my left. They're surrounding me and I can't dodge all of their attacks but good thing my healing power is working.
I attack the one that is in my front with air blades and attack the one from my behind with air spikes. I can feel tiredness already. We were fighting for almost twenty minutes now and I had fresh wounds all over my body. My healing power heals them but it's not enough. Imagine a one versus hundred fight? If Mom didn't thought me on how to create air spikes and air blades then for sure even if I had magic, I would have died since a minute ago.
I was busy attacking the one in my right side that I didn't notice a dark ball was coming unto me. Then it hit me right at my shoulders that I drop at the ground. I winced in pain. They were about to attack me again when someone came into my rescue.
The woman that is wearing a white cloak is standing right infront of me again covering me from the enemies. I sigh in relief. She snap her fingers and a white magic fastly spreads along the enemies. It rounded them so fast that in just five seconds they all died. I gasped both in shock and in awe. How can someone be this powerful?
"WAIT!" I yelled when she's leaving but she didn't stop. Not even turn around to face me. But instead, she walks away fast until I couldn't see her anymore.
"Thank you for saving me again." I mumbled even if I knew she didn't heard me since she's already gone. I am sure she was the same woman in white cloak in the forest before.
I immediately leave the street when I finally gain back my sanity. Who knows, there might be enemies that are still left and I wouldn't handle that anymore. As I came into the street where there are houses and people walking around, that's when I sigh in relief.
"I promise I won't be walking home anymore and I'll go home straight." I said to myself as I walk fast.
I slowly turned our door open as I reach home. When I entered, Mom quickly stood up from the sofa when she saw me. She quickly gave me a peck in the cheek as she hugged me.
"I was about to fetch you if you didn't came home."
"Don't worry Mom. Look, I'm fine. I'm here." I told her as I spin around infront of her to show her that I am fine. She then chuckled.
"Silly. Now go, change your clothes so we can have dinner. I know my baby's hungry, right?"
And as soon as Mom said that, I can feel my hunger now. Even my stomach growled which made Mom laughed. Maybe that's why I am hungry is because I am tired earlier. The fight had almost consumed half of my energy. I immediately rushed into my room to change my clothes while Mom went in the kitchen to prepare our food.
I was already in my pajama and was about to exit my room when I noticed that there was someone on my veranda. What the hell? Did the enemies followed me here? I slowly walk and hide from the curtains. I look into my veranda and three men in dark cloaks are standing there. I almost gasped in shock. Quickly, I aimed invisible air blades at them. I opened my glass window as soon as I killed them to check if there's still left.
When I made sure no one is left, I quickly went down. I suddenly felt unsecured in my own home. I will never forget how they attacked us way back ten years ago.
When I arrive at the kitchen, the food was already prepared. And I am very delighted because Mom cooked my favorite dish.
"Eat as many as you can. I know you're hungry." Mom said laughing.
"Thank you Mom. I love you."
She then pinched my cheek lightly.
"I love you too. You know that."
Then we started eating. I actually miss us dining together. Just the two of us.
After we finished eating and watching our favorite series, I look at Mom.
"Can I sleep with you Mom?"
"Sure. No problem." Mom smiled at me and I quickly followed her in her room.

Third Person's POV
"I promise I will protect you Mom." Serena said as she was looking at her Mother lovingly who was beside her.
And as she was promising her Mother that she would protect her, someone had also promised to protect her too.
"I promise. I will protect you Serena."
The woman in white cloak utter as she leaves Serena from the alley just a moment ago.
