Serena's POV
I woke up when I heard noises around me. I groaned as I shift on my position to avoid the light from hitting my eyes.
"I think she's awake now"
"Is she alright?"
I opened my eyes and I was welcomed by the bright light that made me close my eyes again. After a minute when my eyes adjusted from the light, I look around. And saw three unfamiliar faces all looking at me with worried questioning eyes.
"Are you okay? Does anything hurts?" ask the blonde haired girl.
I look at my body and nothing hurts. I'm fine.
"I am fine." I answered timidly even though I'm hesitant.
I look at them and was about to question who are they when the girl near me spoke.
"Right. My name's Calla." she introduced herself then pointed at the girl beside her, "This one's Aya."
"And I'm Jas." said the blonde girl.
I nodded in response.
"We are heading home when we saw you unconscious at the alley. We don't know your address that's why we brought you here in our apartment." Explained Aya. Yeah, I think her name is Aya.
After she said that, that's when I remembered. I was about to turn to the next alley when... I almost gasped infront of them.
I touch my head. I can remember how that someone hit me hard on my head.
"Does your head hurts?" Calla asked when she saw me holding into my head.
"No. No." I lied. I can't just say that I can heal my own wounds, right? That would be very weird.
I smiled at them. "Thank you for giving me a hand even though you don't know me at all. But I think, I'll go home."
When I happened to look at the windows, it's already night time. And I think I slept for hours since when I went home, the sun is still shinning bright.
"Are you sure? Are you fine already?"
I nodded. And although they are hesitant, they let me go home eventually after I insisted that I'm fine and that I'm going home.
"Please be careful on your way home." They said in chorus that shook me.
"Thank you. I'll always remember how you guys helped me." I said before walking away.
When I was a meters away from them, I turned around to look at them and they are still standing outside their apartment door, probably waiting for me to disappear before they return inside.
"By the way, my name's Serena." I yelled before walking away completely.
I heard them saying good bye but I didn't turned around anymore.
My mom would always tell me not to talk to strangers. That's why I didn't told them my name when they introduced themselves earlier. But looking at them, I had a feeling that they were kind. They helped me so I kind of trust them.
Instead of going home, I planned to visit Nathan at the hospital. I heard they are still in the hospital and since I am the one responsible, it is only fair of me to visit him atleast before I will reject him.
I was still curious who the hell attacked me but I'll think of that later.
When I arrived at the hospital, Nathan and his friends were on the same room. Great. This would be a great timing.
"Hi. How are you?" I ask as I took a sit on a chair near him.
When I was still outside, I can clearly hear their laughs but when I entered, they kept their mouth shut.
"I am not really fine." he said acting like he is hurt.
I almost scoffed in my sit but I manage not to react. Among the three of them, only Nathan had a leg support. I guess I had use a strong magic ball to him. Actually, his friends can be discharged once their dextrose are consumed.
"Don't worry. You will be healed." I answered him.
I do care but only because I was the reason they were here.
"By the way, what are you doing here?" Nathan ask. "Are you here to finally give me an answer about us?" He added.
His two friends are silently listening but I can see how they were excited to know what my answer would be. Ofcourse, they have bets. How could I forget about that.
"I was here to visit you ofcourse." I said calmly as I stand.
I gave him a sweet smile. And walk closely to him. I lean close to his ears.
And whispered, "I was also here to say that I don't like you."
His wife smile vanish in instant.
"What do you mean?" He asked and I could see both confusion and a slight anger on his eyes.
I stood up properly. And I was still giving him a sweet smile.
"I don't want you to be my boyfriend Nathan."
I said loudly and his friends both gasped in shock while Nathan look at me dumbfounded.
I then gave each of them a thousand peso bills. They are confused as for what that money is but they accepted it.
"Here, I am giving you money so you could stop betting just to earn it. What comes around, goes around. Stop playing with people's feelings. Another thing, don't look at yourselves so high. If you'll fall, you might not be able to rise up again." I said as I look at them with their shocked faces.
"I was here to say that. And since I already said what I wanted to say, I'm going. I hope you'll be discharged soon." I added.
And I turned around to leave. But before I could reach the door, I heard Nathan scoffed.
I could actually feel his glares at my back but I didn't mind it. I immediately walk out of the room.
I even heard him yelling,
You think I love you? You are not a lost! Girls are swooning over me. Blah blah blah. And he said many other nonsense things.
I just rolled my eyes as I leave the hospital. I actually wanted to go back and just shower them with magic balls but I changed my mind.
Anyway, the money I gave them were just made of spells. I happen to read that at the Book of Spells that Mom owned. Later, those money will turn into worms.
I laughed on my own as I transported back to my room. Hey, I'm not really as evil as I am, actually I am kind. It's just that my attitude towards others will always depends on how they treat me.
Besides, what's the use of magic if I won't use it, right? Besides those jerks deserve it.
