Since the day that Maru found out about my pregnancy, he became a more caring husband.
Sometimes he’s being overacting, but I will not deny the fact that I like what he is doing now.
I feel so loved and complete.
And how I wish that all of this is true.
I always long for love. Sometimes, I wish that Maru and I will end up loving each other, though I know for a fact that it will be impossible to happen.
Nevertheless, I am very thankful to God, that He gave me this great blessing.
My baby, my love.
I will give him/her all my love.
I was busy with my world when I saw my husband entering my office.
“Daydreaming again, wife?” He said, teasing me.
I just rolled my eyes.
He is right though. Ever since I found out about my pregnancy, I often daydream about our child and our family. 
It's good to have a dream like this.
I feel like with my baby with me, I am allowed to dream like this.
You know the feeling that finally, your life will now have a purpose.
“TSK wife!”
 I was back to reality when I heard my husband’s irritating voice.
I just chuckled and went to him and kiss him. That is my way or trick to calm him.
I know he likes it because his mood change in a snap.
“Let's go now, wife?” He asked. 
I smile and nodded to him.
We will be having dinner with our parents.
We haven't told them about my pregnancy yet. And we plan to tell them about it tonight.
“What do you think will be their reaction?” I asked my husband curiously.
“I bet they will be very glad. My dad keeps on bugging me. He even teased me that I’m such a weak guy.” He said then chuckled.
“Weak?”
“Yes. He’s wondering why until now you are not yet pregnant.”
I can see the proud expression on his face.
I just shook my head.
Boys will always be boys.
We arrived at the Ottave mansion.
I saw my parent's car. I suddenly feel excited. Maybe because of the hormone again? I have never been close to them, so I guess, I'm right?
Maru and I are both excited to tell them the news.
He opens the car door for me and held my hand as I went out of the car.
We hold hands while entering their mansion.
I've seen this before and it never failed to amaze me.
Their mansion is a masterpiece.
We heard laughter as we reach the living room. Upon seeing us, both our moms went to us.
“Hi Mara, it's good to see you again!” Mommy Becca hugged me. (Maru’s mom)
“Hi, my lovely daughter! I miss you!” My mom said then she hugs me tight.
“Since everybody is here, we can now go to the dining room.” Daddy Andy(Maru's dad) said.
All of us nodded in agreement.
We all went to the dining room.
As usual, we talk about business.
“Mara you are blooming today. Don't get me wrong Mara, your beautiful even before but tonight you look more beautiful and in love?!” Mommy Becca said teasing me.
Her teasing caught everyone’s attention.
My face heated because of the attention that I am getting.
“It only shows how good I am in taking care of my wife. Right wife?” Maru said teasing me.
“Whatever!” I rolled my eyes.
Everyone laughed.
I look at my mom. I saw her smile. And that made me smile.
“I'm glad to see the smile on your face. We all know that we are the ones who force the two of you to marry.” My mom's eyes are teary.
“Mom” I called her.
“And I honestly want to thank you for that Mom,” Maru said to my mom.
“Marrying her is one of the best things that happened in my life.”
My eyes widen. I felt joy in my heart.
“Thank you, Maru for that.” My dad said.
“No, dad. Thank you for entrusting your daughter to me.”
I was so overwhelmed with what I am hearing now.
“And I think this is the perfect time to tell you great news.” Maru started his speech. 
We saw eagerness and curiosity in them.
My husband holds my hand.
He looked at me and assure me that everything is fine.
“My wife and I will be having a baby!” He proudly announced.
All of them were shocked by the news.
“Wait wait Mara you're pregnant?” My dad asked to confirm what he just heard.
I nodded nervously.
“Congratulations Mara!” Mommy Becca went to me and gave me a warm hug.
After Mommy Becca, all of them came to me to hug and congratulate me and Maru.
 I can’t explain the happiness that I am feeling right now.
Everything is perfect.
I never thought that this kind of feeling is possible.
I touch my belly. “Thank you, baby.”

This is life!
I never thought that married life would be this great.
I thought that my marriage will be like my parent’s marriage.
They are more of a stranger than a couple. They barely talk and bond.
I thank God for this. He never failed in showing me how much He loves me. I wish that it will always be like this. You feel nothing but joy.
Until now, I can’t seem to forget what he just said during our dinner with our parents.
“Marrying her is one of the best things that happened in my life.”
“Wife you are still giggling until now.” He said while back hugging me.
“Of course not!” Trying to deny what he said.
“It has shown in your face wife.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Cocky” I murmur.
“Wife I’m just telling the truth. It's not cockiness.” He defended himself.
I just sighed. I give up, I knew that my giggling is so obvious.
Who wouldn’t right? Even if I knew that he only said that to satisfy our parents but still I can’t help but giggle at what he said.
“Yeah right Mr. Cocky! I feel so touch with what you said in our dinner even if I know that you are not sincere.” I teased him.
His brow raised. “Says who?”
“Huh?” I asked a bit confused.
“Who said that I’m not sincere with what I said in our family dinner?” He said seriously.
“Yeah right.” I just answered.
My husband faces me. He is looking at me intensely.
I suddenly felt nervous with the way he stares at me.
“Everything I said even before is true wife. I never lied to you.” He said seriously.
I look away. I kind of feel embarrassed and shy with his stares.
“Really?”
He did not answer. He keeps on looking at me as if he’s telling me that if I can’t believe his word then let his eyes do the talking.
“Did marrying me is one of the best things that happened in your life?” I asked. 
“Yes.” He said with full of sincerity in his eyes. 
I swallowed hard. “Maru...”
He smiled and then touch my face.
“Yes, Mara. I never lied to you. Marrying you is one of the best things that happened in my life. Thank you for marrying me.” He said, and then he gave me a quick but sweet kiss.
“Maru...” that's the only thing that I can say.
I can’t seem to process the things happening right now.
“I love you, Mara.”
My eyes widen with what he just said. My heart beats crazily now. Am I hearing it right?
“Maru...”
He chuckled. “Wife, don’t you have anything to say but my name?”
I can say that he's a bit uneasy and I don't know why.
“I love you too.”
His eyes widen. He didn’t expect my answer.
Now it's my turn to chuckle.
“Say it again Mara” he whispered.
I smirked. “I didn’t know that you're deaf.”
“Wife!”
I laugh hard.
This is the first time I saw him being impatient.
He looks so cute.
“Wife!” I smile and just kiss him on the lips.
“Thanks for the kiss wife. But that's not what I want.” He said just like a child throwing tantrums.
 “I love you Mr. Andrew Maru Ottave!”
“I love you more Mrs. Mara Denise Almonte-Ottave!”
