Capítulo 4 My inmate's Fiance' is my ex-boyfriend

Chapter 4
Kelly's whole body trembled as she saw the fire slowly engulf the wall on the other building, the fire was strong and blew dark smoke that entered their noses and seemed to clog their throats. They all shouted and in the distance they saw a jail guard holding a flashlight going to their cell.
"Hurry up! Please help us!" they chattered.
The guard quickly stepped forward to open their door. They rush to the exit to save themselves and because of the black puff of smoke they can hardly see each other.
Kelly ran quickly and went out of the main gate of the jail and saw that there were prisoners crossing the other side of the road so she thought of leaving the jail as well and she also crossed a small alley to get away from the blazing fire. She ran in no direction and she crossed over to the other alley.
Kelly was panting so she thought of resting first. It was late at night and she saw only a few vehicles giving light in the darkness. As she sat to the other side she heard a frightening voice that sounded like the voice of an animal roaring that echoed throughout the environment which made her very nervous.
"Help! Help me!" she waved at a white car that passed in front of her but ignored her. She did not lose hope and looked for a ride again.
In the distance she saw a black car and she waved her hands again, fortunately it stopped in front of her.
"Why are you still wandering around in the middle of the night?" the driver scolded her as he opened the car door.
"I was just looking for something so I stayed up late," she replied in a low voice.
"If only my Aunt hadn't ordered me to come here you probably wouldn't have had a ride," he blurted.
Kelly silently stared at the man and she noticed his handsome face and his thin mustache.
"Thank you so much for your kindness to me," she smiled.
Suddenly the man's cellphone rang.
"Hello, Auntie, you're right because there's really a fire there," the man answered.
The man was silent and seemed disgusted.
"My Auntie is really different because she just called me a while ago but now she suddenly hung up her phone," the man bleated as he shook his head.
Kelly didn't utter a word because she was a little nervous because of the noise of the police patrol. Suddenly the car stopped and when she peeked she saw large fire trucks and ambulances.
"Where will I take you?" the man asked her as his eyes focused on the road.
"I don't know can I sleep at your house for at least one night?" Kelly pleaded as her voice trembled.
"What? You'll sleep in my house!" the man was startled.
"I really have nowhere else to go," Kelly burst into tears. "I don't understand you but I will grant your request now," the man replied as he pulled the steering wheel of the car.
Kelly's nervousness didn't subside because she didn't know where the man would take her.
"I'm really confused with you, where are you really from?" he speculated.
Tears began to trickle down Kelly's eyes.

"I worked as a maid but my boss fired me," she couldn't help herself from sobbing.
"Call me Stephen," the man glanced at her and obviously changed the subject of their conversation.
"Sir Stephen, thank you so much for understanding my situation," she stuttered.
Stephen did not answer but just glanced at her. He accelerated the speed of the car and twenty minutes later he stopped the car.
"We're here at my house," he uttered. Kelly quickly got out of the car and noticed the huge and elegant house across from her. Kelly saw Stephen open the door of the house so she no longer hesitated to follow him.
"I'm the only one here," Stephen said as he went to the refrigerator and grabbed two slices of cake.
"What do you want to drink? Hot or cold?" Stephen asked her as he placed a slice of cake on the saucer.
"Sir Stephen, don't bother anymore, it's okay for me to have a slice of cake," Kelly replied as she handed over the saucer.
"Would you like some coffee?" Stephen asked as he stood up to grab two cups of coffee.
"Sir, I'll just take it," Kelly offered as she hurriedly stood up to get coffee for the two of them.
Kelly took two cups and brewed coffee and she immediately brought it to the table.
"Sir, this is for you, I just put less sugar in your coffee," she handed over a cup of coffee as she noticed Stephen's every stare at her.
"Don't call me Sir, just Stephen," he replied while still staring straight at Kelly.
Kelly just nodded as she sipped her coffee.
"You're so gorgeous, do you already have a boyfriend?" Stephen asked her as he stared at her face intently.
Kelly blushed as she bit her lips.
"My boyfriend and I broke up because we didn't get along," Kelly replied as she bowed her head because she didn't want Stephen to notice her dripping tears.
