LETICIA POV
It's my second day in Hernan University and ngayon pa lang nakaka-depress na. Who wouldn't? First day ay hindi normal e, ang inaasahan ko sa first ay introduction, stating some rules, or getting to know each other pero the fuck?
Ang first na nangyari ay iba. May introduction nga pero hindi naman normal. Kung ano ano pa ang nadagdag. Meron pang trivia na nangyari. Kung hindi ka masipag magbasa at matatandain nako, lagot na ko. Baka wala akong masagot.
At syempre first day of school na-encounter ko pa si Leslie. The hell with her? Hindi ko naman inaano tapos bigla nalang akong himpas sa pader, kung hindi ko nakalma sarili ko non hindi lang 'yun ang aabutin niya sa akin.
And now, I'm about to go to our room, wearing this shit ube uniform. Tsk. Naiirita ako sa itsura ko kapag suot ko 'to e. Para akong ube ice cream.
"Leticia!" I saw Angela, she look so soft and innocent by the way. Maganda s'ya, wearing her eye glasses makes her more innocent and attractive at the same time. But she looks like her. I wonder if they're blood related. Hmm.
"Sabay na tayo," sabi niya nang makalapit sa akin
"By the way. History ang first subject natin 'no? Alam mo ba kagabi, nagbasa talaga ako internet para maghanap ng mga trivia. Kaso nga lang wala akong natandaan. Tsk baka mamaya hindi na naman ako maka sagot neto e," sabi nya sa akin.
Buti nga s'ya nagbasa e. Ako nga hindi. Kagabi gusto ko lang matulog ng matulog pampakalma.
After a couple of minutes nakarating na kami sa room. Leslie and her friends land their eyes on me. But, of course, I didn't give her even a simple glance.

"Lead the prayer," she command one of our classmate. The girl obliged and stand straight next to our teacher.
"In the name of the Father, the son, the Holy Spirit, Amen.." we bowed our head and closed our eyes then feel the presence of our God.
"You may sit down." we immediately take our sir as our teacher said.
"Okay, goodmorning by the way. I'm Mrs. Buenaventura and I'm your history teacher. Now, I want you to tell me a trivia, it doesn't matter if your trivia isn't connect to our discussion. Basta trivia, understand?" We nodded our head and the trivia began to start.

Didn't I tell you guys na binubunot ni Mrs. Buenaventura yung mga sumasagot? Kung hindi pa, ngayon alam nyo na. Kaya nakakadagdag ng kaba.
"Ok last na 'to. Leticia Mariz," tumayo ako at hinarap s'ya.
"Give me one of the longest place in the world," anak ng...bakit naman ganito yung sakin. Unfair.

Huuuu.Grabe parang naubusan ako ng hangin dun ah. Ang haba. Kung ako 'yan naku. Hindi na ako titira sa lugar na yan. apaka haba ng lintik
"Wow, very good," Mrs Buenaventura said. Buti naman na-appreciate. Nakaka pagod 'yun ha.
Umupo na ako ng bigyan nya ako ng signal na umupo. She started to discuss some rules etc. At dun nga natapos yung history subject namin.
"Sequence, are the function whose domain is finite set and infinite set..." you read it right. We're taking our Mathematics subject.
"Leslie, what is Arithmetic Sequence?" Our teacher asked her. She stood confidently and face...me? Sa akin s'ya humarap, tsk yayabangan pa ata ako neto.
"Arithmetic Sequence where term after the first is obtained by adding a constant called common difference," she smirked as she finished her answer. Tsk. Anong akala nya hindi ko 'yun alam? Childish talaga 'to e.
"So, how do we solve it? What is our formula?" Our teacher ask her again.
"Our formula is A n is equal to A1 plus open parenthesis n minus 1 close parenthesis D," Leslie answered.
"What are those?" Follow up from our teacher
"Uhm..A1 is the first term, n is number of take and D is the common difference. " Ano daw? Number of take?
"Pardon?" Our teacher asked
"A1 is the--"
"No 'yung sa letter N"
"Oh, N is the number of take," tanga. Inulit pa mali na nga.
"You sure?"
"Yeah." haynako. Nagmamagaling pa kase e
"Tsk."
"Yes Leticia?"
Oh crap. Bakit ba lagi nalang akong naririnig. Ang hina na nga nun narinig pa din? Ibang klase din naman ang mga tenga dito no'.
"It should be number of term not take,"
I answered as I stand up and face Leslie
"Excuse me?" She raised her brows as she spoke
"I'm just correcting you," sabi ko sa kanya
"But my answer is right," ang kulit ng apog neto. S'ya lang ang itinatama e
"No you don't"
"Brat--"
"Enough, Leticia's right. N is the number of term not take. Sit down the two of you"
Umupo ako at nginitian si Leslie na Mas lalong nag pagalit sa kanya. She mouthed me "I'm not done yet to you brat" I just shrugged. I don't care though. Wala naman akong ginawa e. Tinama ko lang s'ya.
Natapos na ang klase naman sa Math and may iniwan s'yang assignment.
"Brat." and here we go again. Eto na naman s'ya. Nananahimik na ko dito oh.
"Apaka pabida mo 'no, you're getting in to my nerves, you know that do you?" Same Leslie. Same. Konti nalang din aabutin ka na sakin
"Ano na naman ba 'to Leslie?" Angela asked her. Haynako, Muka na kaming movie dito. Pinapanood na kami ng iba e, di ba s'ya nahihiya
"Shut up you nerd!" She hissed
"Hoy Leslie ano ba, tigilan mo nga 'yan"
Konti nalang talaga sakin 'to e, di naman inaano ng tao idadamay niya pa sa init ng ulo nya.
"No, ikaw ang tumigil," sabi nya sa akin.
"Ano bang problema mo?"
"Anong problema ko? YOU!" She yelled as she pointed her index finger in my face.
"Lagi nalang ikaw ang bida, ikaw ang magaling, ikaw ang matalino!" Kung gusto niya pala ng ganon de sana s'ya 'yung sumasagot dun di ba?
"Wala akong alam sa sinasabi mo," mahinahon kong sabi sa kanya.
"Wala?! Tapos kanina inagawan mo pa ako ng spotlight!" Spotlight daw ang lintek. Pupukpokin ko 'to ng isang daang ilaw e, letche.
"Gusto mo pala ng spotlight sana pumunta ka sa theater room at don mo sinolo 'yung spotlight na gusto mo," her eyes grew bigger. Asar talo pala 'to e.
" Brat--"
"Look Leslie, I don't care about you, you know that do you? Wala akong pakialam sa'yo e, sa true lang," sabi ko sa kanya. Sa true lang talaga.
"And why the hell is that!" sabi nya sa akin. Namumula na s'ya sa inis e.
"Becuase you are just a piece of shit in my eyes, may tao bang pumapansin sa tae?" I smirked as I said those phrase. I heard a loud laugh coming from our classmate. Mas lalo siyang napapahiya sa ginagawa niya tanga talaga.
"What?!" She exclaimed.
"At sana naman kase kung magmamagaling ka siguraduhin mong tama ha, hindi 'yung magmamagaling ka na nga lang mali mali pa, e ako naman na may mabuting loob, tinulungan lang kita tapos nagagalit ka pa, why is that huh?" Inosente kong sabi sa kanya.
"Y-you...Ugh!" She rolled her eyes and walked out. Tsk. Wala ka pala e.
"Hahaha nice one Leticia," one guy tapped my shoulder. Kinunutan ko s'ya ng noo. As far as I can remember hindi ko sya kilala.
"Oh yea right. I'm Raymond, Raymond Sandiego," sabi nya sa sakin. We shooked our hands kase alam na naman niya 'yung pangalan ko e.
"Tara na lunch, oy Raymond tara sabay ka, " sabi ni Angela.
We off to our cafeteria and grab some food. Raymond is a tall guy, I think he's about 6 feet tall? I don't know but he's so tall for a grade 10 student. He has a blonde hair which perfectly suit his fair skin.
As we grab our food we started eating it. Kase may susunod na subject pa kami e.
"Grabe ang angas mo Leticia," sabi ni Raymond.
I just shake my head.
"Nako, sinabi mo pa"
"Alam mo ba nung first day palang nakaka agaw talaga ng atensyon 'yan si Leticia"
Hinayaan ko lang silang magdaldalan na dalawa dun. Parang hindi sila nauubusan ng kwento sa buhay e.
"Tapos yung sagot nya kanina na...taumawata-t*ngin*, Leticia ano 'yun?" natawa ako sa sinabi ni Raymond.

"Ayun nga, grabe paano mo natandaan 'yun ha? Sana ganyan din ako."
Why do some people always wished to be someone out there? Lagi nilang sinasabi na 'sana ako din ganyan' 'sana katulad mo ko' why'd you have to compare yourself to other people huh. Why don't you accept yourself first? Kase kung hindi kayo makokontento sa sarili nyo, baka wala na ding maka appreciate sa inyo e. Learn to value yourself. Learn to accept your flaws. Love yourself eka ng iba.
But of course I just keep my mouth shut. Tinatamad akong magsalita
"We feel the same way Raymond," Angela said to Raymond
"Sana matalino din ako," they said I chorus.
